This story, and the characters in it, belong to me.
Previously on Star and Ember:
Technodroid and Stareye awaken, and meet their Soul-Mates. Unfortunately, Technodroid's mate, Wrathenus, has disappeared. Stareye, and his mate Embercore, form the Synervian Protection Team. Unbeknownst to them, they are being watched.
2.1. Slickshot and Eviscera.
A yellow car drives up to a building. It's called The Den. Ember gets out of the driver's side, and Stareye gets out of the passenger's side. Embercore's eyes glow red, and her car disappears.
Embercore:
Welcome to the The Den. It's the most famous place to hang out in Synervia.
Stareye examines the building.
Stareye:
I wouldn't mind coming here when we're not working.
Embercore:
Next time.
The two of them enter the building. It's packed on the inside. People are either socializing, or swimming in a pool in the middle of the room. In the front of a room is a stage. A woman is singing a song on it. The audience is split on her performance. Half of them do not like what they are hearing, but the other half does. At the back of the room lies a desk, and on the right of it lies a staircase. Slickshot is sitting at the desk. Embercore, and Stareye, walk up to him. Slickshot smiles when he sees the two of them.
Slickshot:
Hello you two!
Embercore:
Hello Slick.
Unknown Female Voice:
Is that Ember's Spirit-Mate?
The three of them turn around. The woman who was singing appears. She is white with pink hair. Slickshot gets out of his chair, and the two of them embrace each other.
Slickshot:
Yep. This is Stareye. Stareye, this is Eviscera. My Soul-Mate.
Eviscera shakes Stareye's hand.
Eviscera:
Welcome to our humble abode.
Stareye:
Thank you.
Embercore:
You said you had something to tell us, Slick?
Eviscera turns to Slickshot.
Eviscera:
It's about Wrathenus, right?
Slickshot nods his head.
Slickshot:
When I was with my Creation Crew colleagues, they didn't seem concerned that she had disappeared.
Embercore:
The usual three?
Slickshot:
Yeah. I think they might have something to do with Wrathenus' disappearance. After the global announcement was made, I got into an argument with them regarding Wrathenus. They seemed... happy that she was gone. They also joked, at least I hope they were joking, that more creatures of darkness should go missing.
Stranger 1:
And they're right.
The four of them turn around. A man walks up to them.
Stranger 1 (Male):
Wrathenus caused enough trouble. Now, we can have some peace around here. I hope more of those creatures of darkness go away...
He turns to Stareye.
Stranger 1 (Male):
Like you. I don't care if you are Embercore's mate. I won't obey you, and the sooner you vanish the better.
Stareye's eyes widen, and he frowns. Slickshot walks up to the man, and gets in between him and Stareye.
Slickshot:
Sir, can you-
The man turns to Embercore. She already has a stern expression on her face.
Stranger 1 (Male):
And I can't believe that you keep forcing us to get along with these freaks, Ember. The creatures of darkness are dangerous, and it's up to us creatures of light to keep order around Synervia. You're a traitor!
Embercore:
How many times have I-
Stranger 2 (Male):
Let him speak!
Embercore is caught off-guard. She looks at the crowd, trying to find the person who interrupted her. There are several fire, and earth, elementals cheering the man on.
Stranger 3 (Female):
We're tired of living with those monsters!
Strangers 4 (Male):
Get rid of them all!
Then, some of the water and wind elementals join in on the argument.
Stranger 5 (Male):
Hey! This is our universe, too! We helped to create it along with you!
Stranger 6 (Female):
And we will defend ourselves!
Slickshot raises his arms in the air.
Slickshot:
Everyone, please! Calm down!
Stranger 1 (Man):
You're a disgrace to the creatures of light too, Slick! Seeing you defend those abominations all the time is sickening!
Slickshot lowers his arms. A frown appears on his face. His hand forms into a fist, but he doesn't strike. The man turns his attention to Eviscera.
Stranger 1 (Man):
As for you, Eviscera, you can't sing. Then again, what do I expect from a creature of darkness? Do us all a favor, and keep your mouth shut!
Eviscera backs away. She hides behind Sllickshot. Slickshot shoves the man.
Slickshot:
Shut up!
The man punches Slickshot in the cheek, and Slickshot falls down.
Eviscera:
Slick!
Stareye grabs the stranger, and pushes him away from Slickshot. He steps in front of him, separating the man from Slickshot . Eviscera bends down, and helps Slickshot get to his feet.
Stareye:
That's enough! Unless you want to be brought in for-
A red glow forms around the man's body. His limbs are forced to be outstretched from his body, and he is frozen in place. Embercore walks past Stareye, and up to the man. Her eyes are glowing red. She stares directly into the man's eyes. The man has a look of fear on his face.
Embercore:
Wrathenus is my friend. I treated her like I treated the rest of you: equally. What is happening to you all? I taught you all better than this!
Stareye grabs Embercore's shoulder.
Stareye:
Ember!
She turns to Stareye. He has a look of concern on his face. Embercore blinks, and her eyes return to normal. The red glow from around the man's body disappears, and he falls to the ground. Embercore looks around the bar. Everyone is staring at her with panicked faces. She covers her mouth, and gets embarrassed.
Embercore:
I'm sorry...
Slickshot gets in front of Embercore, and addresses the audience.
Slickshot:
I think that's enough excitement for now. We're gonna close for a little bit. When we open back up...
Slickshot looks down to the man he had an altercation with.
Slickshot:
Please be on your best behavior, or you will not be allowed back in.
The man gets up from the ground, and is the first person to leave. Other people began to leave afterwards. Stareye and Embercore are the only visitors left. Embercore is embarrassed.
Embercore:
I'm so sorry, Slick. I don't know what came over me.
Slickshot:
I don't blame you. I tried to do the same thing, but as usual I failed.
Eviscera:
Stop it! I'm proud of you.
Eviscera rubs the place on Slickshot's cheek where he was assaulted. Stareye grabs Embercore's arm.
Stareye:
I think we should leave too. If you have anymore information, please let us know.
Eviscera:
We will.
Embercore and Stareye begin to leave.
Slickshot:
Hey Stareye...
Stareye stops, and turn around. Embercore stops as well.
Slickshot:
Take care of Ember.
Stareye nods.
Stareye:
I will.
Stareye and Embercore leave. In her car, Stareye ponders over what happened.
Stareye:
Hey Ember, what did that guy mean by "creature of darkness?"
Embercore sighs.
Embercore:
As of late, people have been classifying each other as a "creature of light" or a "creature of darkness." A creature of light is any Synervian with fire, or earth, elemental powers. A creature of darkness is a water, or wind, elemental. People with water, or wind, powers tend to have a harder time learning to control their powers. Sometimes, even their personalities can be difficult and they have a hard time learning to transform into their animal forms.
Stareye:
...I see.
Embercore:
However, with enough training, they can control their powers, behavior, and their animal forms. For example, you are doing very well with your training. You will be able to transform eventually.
Stareye smiles at her.
Embercore:
Now the other elementals, the so-called "creatures of light," see themselves as above the others because they tend to master their powers faster. They fail to see that their behaviors could use some work. They want to segregate themselves from the water, and wind, elementals. I've fought really hard to prevent this from happening. People should not be judged solely by their powers. Unfortunately, this movement has been growing. Wrathenus was deeply affected by this. And if that wasn't bad enough, any fire or earth elemental that is against segregation are seen as "traitors."
Stareye:
I wonder if any fire, or earth, elemental are responsible for Wrathenus' disappearance?
Embercore:
It makes sense, but there's a long list of people we have to investigate.
Embercore's car heads back to Synervian Castle.
2.2. A Proposal.
Back at The Den, Slickshot goes to his desk and sinks back into his chair. He gets more frustrated thinking about the incident.
Slickshot:
I don't know what to do anymore. I want to do the right thing, but no one listens to me. I'm mocked by my own kind. I lost a friend, and now...
He looks up at Eviscera.
Slickshot:
I can't even protect you...
Eviscera gets upset. She sits in Slickshot's laps, and wraps her arms around Slickshot's neck.
Eviscera:
Please stop, baby...
She begins to cry, but she looks at Slickshot dead in the eyes.
Eviscera:
You love me. That's enough for me.
Slickshot wraps his arms around Eviscera, and they hug each other.
In the back of the room, green smoke appears. Slickshot and Eviscera turn to the back of the room. They see a woman sitting at a table. Her legs are on top of the table. It's the hooded woman.
Slickshot:
Where did you...
Slickshot and Eviscera get out of the chair.
Slickshot:
Sorry, ma'am. We're closed for now.
The hooded woman gets up from the table, and walks up to them. She is wearing a suit similar to Stareye's and Embercpre's. Her outfit is purple, with a mixture of blue on the right and green on the left.
Hooded Woman:
Hello, you two.
Slickshot's and Eviscera's ears go up. Their eyes widen.
Slickshot:
...It can't be...
The hooded woman removes her mask. They see who it is, and their faces light up with joy!
Eviscera:
I don't believe it!
Slickshot:
We were told-
The hooded woman puts a finger on her lips.
Hooded Woman:
Shush! Yes, it's me.
The Hooded Woman puts her mask back on.
Hooded Woman:
Call me "The Enchantress" now.
Slickshot and Eviscera are confused.
The Enchantress:
I saw everything that happened. You two deserve better. You always did.
Mysterious Voice:
I agree.
Orange fire appears, and another figure materializes from the flames. He is tall, and is also wearing a suit. It's white and orange. He has a helmet on that has two horns at the top of it. A large spike is on each shoulder. The suit also has a cape. Slickshot and Eviscera are a bit frightened.
Mysterious Figure:
Don't be afraid. I'm a friend.
Slickshot:
Wait... Is that-
Mysterious Figure:
Call me "The Destroyer."
Slickshot:
...How comforting.
The Destroyer:
Despite my name, Slickshot, I can help create a new life for you and Eviscera.
The Enchantress:
We both can. It's time to stand up for ourselves.
The Desstroyer:
We'll turn Synervia into a place where we can truly be free... by any means necessary.
A thought comes to Slickshot's mind.
Slickshot:
What's the catch?
The Destroyer:
You will have to help us put Stareye and Embercore to slumber.
Both Slickshot's, and Eviscera's, eyes widen in shock.
Eviscera:
We can't... I mean, no one has ever-
The Enchantress:
It's the only way to get the life that you truly desire. Think about it: under Embercore's leadership, people have become more impudent and violent.
The Destroyer:
That's their true desires coming to light.
The Destroyer makes a fist. Orange flames come out of his fist.
The Destroyer:
I can feel it deep inside of them. It has been brewing for a while. Synervia is going to change. However, we are going to capitalize off of this opportunity.
The Enchantress:
You two have played by the rules ever since you've awakened, only to get bullied and belittled as a result. If anybody knows this to be true, it's me.
Slickshot nods his head.
Slickshot:
We know.
The Destroyer:
Even I have suffered the indignation of the people that are suppose to be my own. I believe you know exactly what that feels like, Slickshot.
Slickshot stares at The Destroyer. The Destroyer leans down at him.
The Destroyer:
I've decided to embrace my dark side.
The Enchantress rests against The Destroyer's shoulder.
The Enchantress:
So have I.
The Destroyer:
I can feel the anger burning inside both of you. Let us teach you how to hone your anger, and turn it into your strength.
The Destroyer wraps his arms around The Enchantress.
The Destroyer:
I already helped my mate.
The Enchantress:
And now, I want to help my two closest friends.
The Destroyer extends his hand out to Slickshot, and The Enchantress extends her hand out to Eviscera.
The Destroyer:
Will you join us?
Slickshot turns to Eviscera.
Slickshot;
They're right.
Eviscera nods her head.
Eviscera:
I know. Whatever you decide, I'll be right beside you.
She smiles at Slickshot, and he smiles as well. They turn back to The Destroyer and The Enchantress. Slickshot shakes The Destroyer's hand, and Eviscera shakes The Enchantress' hand.
The Destroyer:
Welcome aboard.
The Enchantress hugs both Slickshot and Eviscera, and they hug her back. Slickshot and Eviscera are taken to a secret location. In a Training Room, they undergo the same training that Stareye and Embercore underwent. They also have their new suits. They stand in the middle of the room, and look up to a large window. The Destroyer, and The Enchantress, are visible through it. Those two are in a Control Room. Their voices are heard through a speaker in the Training Room.
The Destroyer (Speaker):
You two have done well. Now, you must cross the threshold once and for all by passing one more test.
The Destroyer presses a button on a dashboard in the Control Room. A slot on the wall under the mirror opens up, and a man tied to a mobile chair by green chains is shoved out. Slickshot and Eviscera know who it is.
Slickshot:
Is that...
The Enchantress (Speaker):
Yep. This is the man who attacked you back at The Den, Slick. The Destroyer, and I, picked him up as soon as he left the building.
Slicshot clenches his fist.
Slickshot:
What do you want us to do?
The Destroyer (Speaker):
Put him to slumber. Both of you must put him to slumber. However, we're going to have some fun with him first. Slick, use one of your eradicators to shoot him in the leg.
Slickshot walks up to the man, and stares directly into his eyes.
Slickshot:
...You came into my home, mocked me and my mate, and I couldn't do anything about it then...
Eviscera turns to Slickshot.
Slickshot:
...Now, I have the power!
Slickshot's pupils contract. His ears grow taller, and his canines grow longer. It looks like a Prowler's head. He opens his jaws, and clamps down the man's left leg. He rips it off, and spits it onto the ground. Fire comes out of the wound. The man screams out in pain, but his screams are muffled due to his mouth being gagged. A smile forms across Slickshot's face.
Slickshot:
Call this payback.
The Destroyer (Speaker):
Good job, Slick.
The Enchantress (Speaker):
Now it's your turn, Eviscera. Chop off the other leg.
Embolden by Slickshot's actions, Eviscera saunters over to the man with a smile on her face.
Eviscera:
You said that my singing was terrible. Well... How about I force you to listen to it!?
Eviscera's eyes turn pink, and she opens her mouth. She lets out a screech that is directed at the man's right leg. The sonic waves chop off the man's leg! He screams in agony. Both Slickshot and Eviscera smile, enjoying their handiwork.
The Destroyer (Speaker):
Now, put him to slumber.
Eviscera raises one of her hands, and a pink feather appears in it. The barbs on the feather freeze over, and the feather becomes blade-like. It is now an ice knife. She grabs the shaft of the feather. The man tries to escape, but he can't break free.
Slickshot:
I bet he's feeling really sorry right about now...
The man nods his head.
Eviscera:
Do you believe him?
The man turns to Slickshot. Evil smiles form across Slickshot's, and Eviscera's, faces.
Slickshot;
Not at all.
Eviscera:
Neither do I.
The man closes his eyes. Eviscera lunges forward, and slices the man's throat with her knife. Fire pours out of the wound. Slickshot clamps his jaws on the head of the man, and rips his head off! Slickshot drops the head onto the ground. The man's body turns into an orb. Slickshot and Eviscera look at each other in shock. Smiles form across their faces, and they hug each other. On their right, a door opens in front of them. The Destroyer, and The Enchantress, enter the room. The Destroyer collects the orb, and holds it in his hand.
The Destroyer:
Congratulations, you two. Your training is now complete.
The Enchantress:
Now, you must eliminate your real targets.
The Destroyer:
The Synervian Liberation Force has officially begun.
2.3. Car Chase.
Embercore's car drives up to a building. It's the Creation Crew station from before. The two of them exit the car, and the vehicle disappears. They walk up to the building. Stareye grabs the doorknob, and tries to open the door. However, the door is locked.
Stareye:
What the-?
Stareye knocks on the door. A slot at the top of the door slides open. Two eyes appear.
Guard:
No creatures of darkness are allowed.
Stareye:
This is Stareye from the SPT.
Guard:
I don't care. No freaks allowed.
Embercore walks up to the door.
Embercore:
Let us in.
Guard:
No traitors are allowed either.
The slot closes. Stareye and Embercore frown. Inside, the guard at the door, a man, sits against the wall. Suddenly, the door is ripped off of its hinges! The man turns around, and sees Stareye holding the door in his hands. He puts the door against the exterior wall, and he and Embercore walk inside. Slickshot's three Creation Crew members are present, sitting at a table near the front door. There are other people present, but the building is noticeably emptier than it was previously. The guard runs up to them, and extends his hands to block them.
Guard:
Leave now, or-
The Second Crew Member puts his hand on the guard's shoulder.
Second Crew Member:
It's okay. Let them in.
The guard lowers his arms, and walks back to the entrance. He glares at Stareye, and Stareye looks right back at him. Then, Stareye turns back to the Second Crew Member.
Second Crew Member:
Sorry about that.
Embercore:
What's going on here? Where is everybody?
Second Crew Member:
L-Let's talk about this at our table, shall we?
The Second Crew Member walks to his table, where the other two members are. Stareye and Embercore walk up to the table, but they do not sit down.
Second Crew Member:
I think I know what this is about.
Embercore:
Stareye and I are looking for any information regarding Wrathenus' disappearance. I know that you guys had trouble getting along with her...
The three crew members get anxious. The Third, and Fourth, Crew Members look at each other.
Embercore:
But, any information you might have will be extremely helpful.
The Second Crew Member puts his hand on the back of his neck.
Second Crew Member:
Yes. We've had... issues with Wrathenus, but we didn't want her to disappear.
Stareye:
Slickshot said that you guys were happy that she vanished.
He looks at Stareye with an annoyed expression.
Second Crew Member:
Slick was upset with us, but saying that we were happy that Wrathenus disappeared is a little extreme.
The three Crew members' eyes turn red for a second, and then they return to normal.
Embercore:
You're lying.
He turns back to Embercore. Her eyes are glowing red.
Embercore:
Slickshot was telling the truth. You guys are happy that Wrathenus is gone.
The other two members lean back in their chairs.
Embercore:
Wrathenus and I chose you all because we appreciated your gifts, but you failed to appreciate Wrathenus'! Not only that, you got rid of the other members of the Crew because they were water and wind elementals. That's why the place is half empty!
Stareye grabs Embercore by the arm.
Stareye:
Ember, relax.
Embercore's eyes return to normal. She closes her eyes in an attempt to cool down.
Embercore:
There's nothing in your memories to indicate that you had anything to do with Wrathenus' disappearance. Thank you for your time.
Embercore turns around, and walks away. Stareye turns to the Crew members.
Stareye:
If you have more information, please let us know.
Stareye turns around, and runs after Embercore. The two of them leave the building. Outside, Stareye waits for Embercore's car to appear, but it doesn't. He turns to Embercore. Her eyes look numb, and she just stares off into the distance.
Stareye:
Ember?
Embercore stays quiet. Stareye presses on the transporter button on his wrist comp.
Stareye:
You know what, I think I can drive us home.
Stareye's eyes glow white, and his car materializes. The two of them get into the vehicle, and drive away. As he's driving, Stareye glances at Embercore. She's still silent.
Stareye:
Ember, say something. You're scaring me.
Embercore closes her eyes, and leans her head back into the seat.
Embercore:
...I failed. I failed all of them. I was the first to awaken in Synervia, and I did my best to take care of everyone. Now, Wrathenus is gone and we still have no leads. People are also changing. We've had a few problems here and there before, but we use to be able to find a solution and work together. Now, something's different... How can someone be glad that someone else might be in trouble?
Stareye:
Look, a lot of crazy things are happening right now but we'll fix it. We're a team, remember? You can rely on me.
Embercore smiles. She leans over, and kisses him on the cheek.
Embercore:
Thank you.
Stareye smiles. Embercore leans against the door, and looks out the window. Suddenly, she exclaims:
Embercore:
Watch out!
Stareye looks to his right, and a white car hits them! Stareye manages to regain control of his vehicle. Then, a green truck appears and slams into the left side of Stareye's car! Stareye, and Embercore, are sandwiched in. A harpoon gun appears in the middle of the white and green vehicles, and they fire harpoons into the doors of Stareye's car! On the roof of the green truck, a machine gun appears. It aims down, and fires green molten rock towards Stareye's side of his car! On the roof of the white car, another machine gun appears. It fires a mini tornado towards Embercore's side of the car! Embercore and Stareye cover their heads with their hands, and lean down. The doors to the car starts to melt from the lava, and ripped apart by the mini tornado. Stareye looks up to the computer on the front of the car. A red light is flashing on it. He presses on the red light, and a model of the car appears. The sides of the car are glowing red. Stareye presses on the sides of the model. The doors pop off of Stareye's car, freeing the vehicle from the harpoons! Then, the doors reappear on Stareye's car. Stareye grabs the steering wheel.
Stareye:
There we go!
Stareye turns the steering wheel to the right, and he rams his car into the white one on the right!
Stareye:
If I can just... create some... room...
Embercore lowers the window, and extends her hand out. Red fire shoots out of her hand, and hits the windshield of the white car. The driver turns the car to the right, creating some distance between it and Stareye's car. Stareye presses down on the gas pedal, and he drives away from the two cars.
Stareye:
Nice shot!
Embercore:
Thanks!
Stareye:
Suit up!
Stareye's and Embercore's eyes glow, and they transform into their superhero suits. The driver of the white car, called "The Siren," lowers the window on the right, and extends her hand out to the wind shield. Pink wind comes out of her hand, and it blows the flames away. She regains control of her car. Then, her eyes glow red. She receives a telepathic message from the driver of the green truck. He is called "The Tracker."
The Tracker (Telepathically):
They're heading for the tunnel. Drive up to the end of it, and block them off. I'll trap them inside.
The Siren (Telepathically):
On it.
Embercore turns around. She sees the white car driving off into the distance.
Embercore:
That white car is driving away.
Stareye gets suspicious.
Stareye:
Something's not right...
They continue to get chased by the green truck. Stareye's car makes a right turn, and runs into traffic.
Stareye:
Oh no!
Embercore:
Turn right!
Stareye's turns to the right, and dodges a couple of cars.
Embercore:
Left!
Stareye turns to the left, and dodges more traffic.
Embercore:
Right!
Stareye turns to the right, and the trunk of his car gets hit by the green truck! Stareye's car turns horizontally. The green truck hits Stareye's car, drives forward. The tunnel appears. Stareye presses down on the gas pedal, and turns his car to the left. His car realigns vertically, and avoids getting rammed into the entrance of the tunnel. The two vehicles enter the tunnel. The machine gun on the top of The Tracker's truck shoots small brown objects at Stareye's car. They hit the trunk of his car.
Stareye:
I'm getting tired of this!
Embercore points forward.
Embercore:
Ahead of us!
Stareye looks forward. At the end of the tunnel, the white car reappears. It's horizontal, and is blocking the exit. Stareye smiles.
Stareye:
I thought so! Time to test something out.
Stareye turns to the computer at the front of the car. He presses a button, and the wheels on the car turn inward. The car begins to hover. Stareye turns his car to the right, and the car hovers over the wall of the tunnel. His car drives up the wall and to the ceiling. The Tracker has a look of pure shock on his face. Stareye's car stops, and the truck drives past them. Stareye's car drops from the ceiling, turns over, and lands back on the ground. Stareye presses the same button again, and the wheels reappear. Stareye presses another button, and a lever appears in between him and Embercore. At the rear of the car, an excelerator materializes. Stareye grabs the lever.
Stareye:
Hang on!
Stareye pushes the lever forward. White water shoots out of the excelerator! Stareye and Embercore are shoved against their seats due to the velocity. The car flies towards the truck, and hits it in the bumper! The Tracker turns around. His, and Stareye's, eyes make contract. Stareye's pupils contract, and a smile forms across his face. The Tracker slams on the breaks, but the excelerator in Stareye's car forces the two cars to continue forward. The Tracker turns his truck to the left, and the truck turns sideways. The front of Stareye's car goes underneath the left side of the truck. The gun on the top of the truck lowers.
Embercore:
Star.
Stareye doesn't hear her.
Embercore:
Star!
Stareye's eyes dilate. He pulls the lever back, and presses down on the brake. Stareye's car stops in its tracks, launching the truck forward! The Tracker turns to the right, and sees that his truck is going to hit the white car! The Siren sees the truck coming. She gets out of her car, and flies into the air. Inside the truck, The Tracker disappears. The truck hits the white car, freeing up the exit of the tunnel. Stareye's car drives through the exit, and turns around the two destroyed vehicles. The green truck, and white car, disappear. Stareye's eyes glow white, and he puts both of his hands on the car. They don't see anybody. Stareye sniffs the air, but he doesn't catch any scents. Embercore's eyes turn red, and she starts scanning the area for any evidence of their attackers. She can't detect anything.
Embercore:
Whoever's behind this could still be around, but I can't detect them.
Stareye:
And I can't smell anybody either.
Embercore:
They must have teleported somewhere farther away.
Stareye:
What do we do next?
Embercore:
We'll hideout somewhere before we head home. I want to make sure that no one follows us. We'll change cars, and then I'll take us home.
Stareye:
Sounds like a plan.
Stareye's car turns around, and drives away. In the distance, on the roof of a nearby building, brown mud comes out of the ground. It morphs into The Tracker. He is wearing a green and brown super-villain suit. Pink wind appears on The Tracker's right side. The wind manifests into The Siren. She is wearing a white and pink suit. Their faces are covered by masks, but The Siren has an opening in hers for her mouth. They fly up into the air, and follow Stareye's car. Stareye drives to a new location, per Embercore's orders. Stareye turns to the back of his car, and sees a bunch of those small brown objects that the truck shot at them. He grabs one of them, and picks it out of the floor of his car.
Stareye:
What are these?
Embercore:
We'll answer that question when we get home.
Stareye's eyes turn white, and the object disappears. Then, Stareye's car disappears. Embercore's eyes turn red, and her car materializes. The two of them get into the car, and they drive away.
2.4. Home Invasion.
Stareye and Embercore arrive at Synervian Castle. They go into the living room.
Embercore:
Did you see anything?
Stareye:
No. I didn't even smell anybody either.
Embercore's eyes turn red, and then they return to normal.
Embercore:
And, I still can't sense anybody. By the way, good job with the driving back there.
Embercore pats Stareye on the back.
Stareye:
Thanks. I've been tinkering with my vehicle a bit. Looks like the upgrades came in handy.
Stareye extends his hand out, and his eyes glow white. The brown object he took from his car materializes in his hand.
Stareye:
Now, let's see if we can get a clue from this... thing.
Stareye's eyes glow white, and he sees what element the object is made of.
Stareye:
It seems to be made up of some... mud?
Embercore walks towards Stareye's left side in order to see the object better. There is a window behind them. Embercore touches the top of the rock, and the surface melts into mud.
Embercore:
Yeah. It's a mudrock. I think that truck driver was targeting-
Suddenly, a pink blade bursts through the window and hits Embercore in the back! She falls to the floor!
Stareye:
Ember!
A green lava ball flies through the window next. The ball explodes, sending Stareye across the room! Embercore is unaffected, but it creates a hole in the living room wall. Brown mud slithers through the opening of the living room wall, and it materializes into The Tracker. Pink wind follows suite, and it materializes into The Siren. She is on The Tracker's left side. Stareye looks up. The Tracker raises his arm towards him, revealing a wrist gun. The gun fires a mudrock into Stareye's head! Stareye goes limp on the floor.
The. Tracker:
Direct hit!
However, The Tracker gets confused. Both Stareye, and Embercore, do not turn into orbs.
Truck Driver:
...That should've worked. Why haven't they turned into orbs yet?
Stareye's body starts to glow white. It's trying to force the rock out of his head! He raises his head, and looks towards Embercore. She moans a bit, but doesn't move. Stareye starts to crawl towards her, but The Tracker gets in front of him and kicks him away from Embercore.
The Siren:
He's healing.
The Tracker:
We'll finish him off together. Use your screech. After that, we'll do Ember next.
The Siren:
Roger that.
Stareye looks up, and sees The Tracker and Siren standing above him. The Tracker aims both of his arms at him. On his vacant arm, mud morphs into another wrist gun. He aims both guns at Stareye's head. The Siren's eyes turn pink, and she prepares to let out a screech. Stareye looks at Embercore. She's remains motionless. She can't help him. Then, something stirs inside of him. A beast has awakened, and it's furious! Stareye's pupils contract. His canines grow larger, and he starts growling. The mud rock falls out of his head, and his wound heals. The Tracker's, and Siren's, eyes widen in shock.
The Tracker:
Shoot him!
The Tracker fires two mudrocks from his wrist guns. The Siren lets out her screech. Stareye raises his head, and opens his mouth. Ice breath comes out of it, and freezes the two mudrocks. The Tracker and Siren split, moving out of the way of the ice breath. Stareye's body morphs into a feral black and white creature. He looks down at The Tracker, and Siren, with angry eyes. They start to panic. The Siren turns to The Tracker.
The Tracker:
Retreat!
They fly through the opening in the living room wall, and go outside. The creature bursts through the opening as well, and tries and swallow them. Luckily for them, the creature doesn't reach them in time. The creature walks outside, revealing itself. It's a Canine Tyrant.
2.6. Stareye's Rampage.
The creature roars at at The Tracker, and Siren. The Tracker's eyes glow brown, and a holographic screen appears in front of him and The Siren. It's a call from The Destroyer, and The Enchantress.
The Destroyer:
Tracker. Siren. Report.
The Tracker:
We've encountered a... minor setback.
The Destroyer, and The Enchantress, see Stareye in his Tyrant form.
The Destroyer:
That's not a "minor setback!"
The Tracker:
Siren and I can handle this! I have a plan.
The Destroyer:
...Report back if you need further assistance.
The call ends. The Tyrant's eyes glow white, and it shoots ice breath at The Tracker and Siren. They fly out of the way, and get higher in the air. The Tracker turns to The Siren.
The Tracker:
Put him on his back!
The Siren:
On it!
The Siren lands on the ground. She runs towards the Tyrant at an incredible speed, and starts running around him. She creates a large pink tornado that comes from underneath Stareye! It raises him up into the air, and turns him onto his back. The Tracker's eyes glow brown. He stretches out his hands, and tree roots come out of the ground. They tie the Tyrant to the ground.
The Tracker:
Perfect!
Two green lava bombs form in The Tracker's hands.
The Tracker:
Time to cook this boy!
He throws the bombs at the Tyrant. Then, he opens his mouth and a lava stream comes out! The stream flies towards the Tyrant. The Tyrant's body turns into ice, and protects him from the lava bombs and stream. The roots on his body freeze over, and the Tyrant rips them off to free himself. His body returns to normal, and he faces The Tracker and The Siren.
The Tracker:
Oh, come on!
The Siren gets an idea.
The Siren:
Maybe I should play him a song?
The Siren transforms into her animal form. It's a Flyer. She flies towards the Tyrant, and her eyes glow pink. She emits a loud screech. The Tyrant shrinks away, and shakes his head. While the Tyrant is distracted, The Tracker's eyes glow again. He extends his hands upwards. Mud comes out of the ground, underneath the Tyrant, and encases him in a cocoon. The Tyrant shoves his head through the cocoon, but the Flyer lands on top of his head. Her talons wrap around the Tyrant's snout, closing his jaws shut. She emits another shriek. The Tyrant tries to shake his head free from her grasp. Suddenly, a lava bomb hits the Tyrant in the face! A wound forms on his forehead, and steam starts to pour from it.
The Tracker:
Bullseye!
The Tyrant stops moving, and he closes his eyes.
The Tracker:
Is he finally-
The Tyrant opens his eyes again, and they're glowing white. His body turns into ice, freezing the mud cocoon. The Tyrant breaks free from the cocoon, and shoves his head towards the ground. The Flyer is dragged across the ground, and she releases her talons from around his snout. The Tyrant's body heals, and his head wound disappears. The Tyrant looks up at The Tracker. The Tracker doesn't what else to do now. The Flyer leaps onto the right side of the Tyrant! She bites him, and starts scratching him with her talons. Water starts coming out of his wounds. The Tyrant tries to reach her, but she's out of distance. Then, the Tyrant rolls onto the ground! The Flyer is crushed underneath the Tyrant. When he gets back to his feet, the Tyrant turns around and sees the Flyer on the ground. The Flyer tries to get up, and the Tyrant grabs her by her tail. He throws her to the left, and she flies across the ground. She hits a nearby tree, but she breaks the tree in half! She falls onto the ground, the told half of the tree falls on top of her. The Tyrant's eyes glow white, and the scratches on his side heal up. He walks up to the Flyer, and opens its jaws. Mud flies towards him. It hits him on his snout and hardens, sealing his mouth shut.
The Tracker:
Hey!
The Tyrant turns his head around, and sees The Tracker on the ground.
The Tracker:
I'm the one that shot ya, remember?
The Tyrant breaks the mud by forcing his jaws to open. Then he charges at The Tracker. The Tracker turns around, and runs away. The Tyrant roars at The Tracker, and begins to catch up to him. The Tracker runs behind a nearby tree on his left. He turns around briefly, and he sees the Tyrant roaring at him. The Tyrant raises its right leg, and attempts to step on him. The Tyrant burrows into the ground, and just misses being stepped on by the Tyrant's foot! The Tyrant leans down, and sees that The Tracker isn't present. Behind him, mud comes out of the ground and turns into a green and brown Prowler. He leaps onto the Tyrant's back, and grabs the back of his neck! The Tyrant shakes the creature off. The Prowler rolls over, and lands back on his feet. The Tyrant turns around to face The Prowler. The Prowler howls at the Tyrant, and the Tyrant howls back.
The two creatures charge at each other. The Tyrant lunges forward, but the Prowler evades the attack by moving to the left. He jumps onto the Tyrant's back, and grabs the top of the Tyrant's neck. The Tyrant shakes his head, but the Prowler holds on. He rams his body into a nearby tree, but the Prowler maintains his grip. The Tyrant rolls onto the ground, and squashes the Prowler! The Prowler lets go. The Tyrant turns around, and tries to bite down onto the Prowler's neck. The Prowler rolls to the left, and grabs the Tyrant's ear. The two of them make eye contact. The Tyrant glares at the Prowler, and is just getting more aggravated! The Tyrant tries to bite the Prowler, but he is just out of reach. The Tyrant throws his head down to the ground, smashing the Prowler's head to the ground as well. The Prowler releases his grip on the Tyrant's ear. He turns into mud, and tries to sink into the ground in order to get away. However, the Tyrant bites down on the Prowler's side! The bite causes the mud on the Prowler's body to harden. The Tyrant pulls the Prowler out of the ground, and throws him to the left! The Prowler hits a tree, and then falls to the ground. The Prowler's body returns to normal. He looks up, and the Tyrant hits him in the face with his right hand. The Tyrant's head hits the ground, and he doesn't move. The Tyrant goes down to grab the Prowler, but the Prowler quickly opens its jaws. Green lava shoots out of his mouth, and it hits the Tyrant in the face! The Tyrant roars in pain. The Prowler continues to shoot lava at the Tyrant. This time, it starts to encase the Tyrant's body. The Tyrant's body begins to burn! Then, the Tyrant swings his body around and smacks the Prowler in the face! The Prowler flies to the right, and rolls across the ground.
The Prowler tries to get back up, but the Tyrant bites down on his right leg. The leg gets covered in ice, and the ice starts to crawl up the Prowler's body. The Prowler tries to turn around and bite the Tyrant, but he can't reach him. The Tyrant starts dragging the Prowler underneath him, and goes for the Prowler's neck. The Flyer lands on top of the Tyrant's head again! Her talons clamp down on the Tyrant's snout, closing them shut. The Flyer drags the Tyrant away from the Prowler. The Prowler's eyes glow brown, and so does his body. The ice on his body breaks as his right leg expands into a mass of mud. Afterwards, the leg returns to normal. The Prowler gets up, and leaps onto the right side of the Tyrant! His eyes glow brown, and his body turns into mud. His body expands, and starts to encase the Tyrant's hind limbs. The Tyrant's rear legs give out, but his forelimbs keep his upper body up of the ground. The mud starts to crawl up the Tyrant's body. The Tyrant starts shaking his head, but the Flyer maintains her grip on his snout. They Flyer's eyes glow pink, and she lets out a screech. Then, the Tyrant's eyes glow white. His body turns into water vapor, and disappears. The Prowler's body returns to normal, and the Flyer lands on the ground. The two of them look around. Behind them, white water comes out of the ground. The Prowler sniffs the air, and catches a scent. He turns around, and he sees the Tyrant in its water form. The Tyrant opens its mouth, and hits the Prowler with its water breath. The Prowler is sent flying across the ground. His body returns to normal, and then he focuses on the Flyer. The Flyer's eyes turn pink, and she opens her mouth. The Tyrant hits the Prowler in the head with its right paw! The Flyer rolls across the ground, and then remains motionless. The Prowler hears footsteps coming towards him. He looks up, and the Tyrant bites down on his snout! His snout gets covered in ice. The Tyrant pushes the Prowler forward, and swings the Prowler upwards. The Prowler flies backwards, and hits a tree! Then, he falls to the ground. The Tyrant hears flapping. He looks up, and the Flyer appears. Her eyes glow pink, and she releases a screech! The Tyrant turns around, and smacks the Flyer in the head with his tail! The Flyer's body flies to the right, and she falls to the ground. She doesn't move.
The Tyrant turns his attention back to the Prowler. He sees the Prowler leaping towards him. The Tyrant leans backwards, and falls into his back. The Prowler lands on top of him, but the Tyrant kicks the Prowler forwards. The Prowler flies forwards, and lands on the ground. The Tyrant gets back to his feet, and the Prowler turns around. The two predators face each other. The Tyrant's eyes glow white, and shoots his ice breath towards the Prowler. The Prowler's eyes glow brown, and he blasts his lava breath at the Tyrant. The two streams collide, and go back and forth. The Tyrant manages to push forward, and hits the Prowler with his ice breath! The Prowler is encased in an ice block. However, a brown light begins to emerge from within the block of ice. The Prowler manages to melt the ice away with his lava breath. The Tyrant grabs the Prowler by the neck with his jaws, and wraps his arms around his abdomen. The Prowler's head begins to freeze, and the Tyrant starts slamming the Prowler's head onto the ground. His jaws tighten around the Prowler's neck, and he starts to twist it. He is trying to rip the Prowler's head off!
Female Voice:
Stop!
A familiar voice stops the Tyrant. He lets go of the Prowler's neck, and turns around. He sees Embercore walking towards him. Embercore stops moving, and extends her hand with her palm upwards.
Embercore:
Easy, Star. It's me. I'm not going to hurt you...
She continues to walk up to the Tyrant, albeit slowly. The Tyrant's begins to growl. Embercore stops in her tracks. Her eyes turn red, and she starts to telepathically communicate with him.
Embercore (Telepathically):
I'm Embercore. I am your mate. You will listen to me.
The Tyrant's eyes turn red, and he hears her voice in his head. He shakes his head in retaliation.
Embercore (Telepathically):
You transformed in order to save me. Now, I have to save you before you make a terrible mistake. Put the Prowler down.
The Tyrant's eyes dilate a bit.
Embercore (Telepathically):
Good. Now, look at me.
The Tyrant looks at Embercore. She extends her hands out, and the Tyrant sniffs it. The scent is familiar. He allows Embercore to touch his snout.
Embercore (Telepathically):
I'm going to begin the imprinting process.
In the Tyrant's head, Stareye's subconscious aligns with Embercore's. The Tyrant transforms back into his human form.
2.7. Embercore vs. The Siren.
Stareye looks up at Embercore. His eyes have fully dilated. Embercore smiles at him. She helps him to stand up.
Embercore:
How are you feeling?
Stareye:
I've felt better, but I'm alright. What about you? I saw you go down.
Embercore extends her hand. Her eyes turn red, and the knife that hit her materializes in her hand. It's an ice feather knife.
Embercore:
I got hit by this... thing, but I transformed my body into flames in order to remove it.
Stareye:
These two are well-trained...
Embercore:
Like us...
Stareye and Embercore turn around, and face the Prowler. It transforms back into The Tracker. The Tracker gets to his knees, and he looks up. Stareye and Embercore are standing above him. They each have a hand extended towards him, and their eyes are glowing.
Stareye:
Don't move.
Embercore:
We're taking you in.
The Tracker raises his hands into the air. Then, his eyes glow brown. Suddenly, mud comes out of the ground underneath Stareye's feet. He is shot into the air.
Embercore:
Star!
Pink wind hits Embercore, and she flies backwards. She hits a tree, and falls to the ground. The tree leans forward, and falls on top of Embercore! The Tracker stands up, and flies into the air. His arm turns into mud, and he extends it towards Stareye. He grabs Stareye around the throat, and drags him towards the Synervian Castle. The tree that fell on Embercore rises, revealing Embercore underneath it. She is lifting it up with both of her hands. She tosses the tree to her left, and falls on her hands and knees. The Siren lands in front of her.
The Siren:
Nothing personal, Ember, but just stay down.
Embercore:
Who are you?
The Siren:
I'm "The Siren." Allow me to play a song for you.
The Siren's eyes glow pink, and she opens her mouth. Embercore's eyes glow red, and a psychic blast emits from her head. It knocks The Siren backwards, and she falls onto her back!
Embercore:
"Nothing personal," huh? Then, why are you attacking us?
The Siren stands up.
The Siren:
For a better life...
Embercore:
What?
The Siren:
A life that neither you, nor Stareye, can give us!
The Siren's eyes glow pink, and she runs towards Embercore at super-speeds. Embercore swings at her, but her punch misses. The Siren laughs.
The Siren:
Too slow!
The Siren runs around Embercore, and creates a pink tornado. Embercore's eyes turn red, and she puts her hands on her head in order to try and create another psychic blast. However, The Siren leaps into the tornado. She yells another shriek at her. Embercore is hit, and she flies backwards. She gets caught in the currents, and her body freezes over! The Siren flies out of the tornado, and turns around to face it. She raises her hands, and then lowers them. The tornado shrinks back down to the ground. The tornado disappears, and Embercore's frozen body hits the ground. She shatters into multiple pieces!
The Siren:
Did I... Did I do it?
The frozen pieces of Embercore's body begin to melt, and they turn into flames. The multiple flames leap into each other, and materialize into Embercore! She begins to shiver, still feeling the effects of being frozen.
Embercore:
O-Oh... I d-don't want to do that again...
The Siren does a flying kick to Embercore's abdomen! Embercore leans over, and gasps. The Siren uses her other foot to kick Embercore in the head. She flips off of her afterwards. Embercore leans forward, and goes down on one knee. The Siren raises her hand, and a large feather appears in it. Her eyes glow pink. The feather freezes, and turns into an ice sword. She runs towards Embercore, and swings her sword forward. Embercore raises her arms, and blocks her head. Flames appear out of her arms, and they form into a shield. The Siren's sword hits the shield. Embercore swings her shield upwards, hitting The Siren in the head. The Siren's head is forced upwards, exposing her neck. Embercore's shield disappears. She grabs The Siren by the neck, raises her up, and choke-slams her to the ground! Embercore stomps on the blade of The Siren's sword, causing it to shatter into pieces. She grabs The Siren's arms and gets on top of her, pinning her down to the ground.
Embercore:
We can help you!
The Siren:
We've had enough of your "help!"
The Siren's eyes glow pink, and she opens her mouth. She blows her wind breath at Embercore's face. Embercore's face freezes over. The Siren kicks Embercore in the abdomen again, and she falls onto her back. The Siren flies into the air. Two feathers appear in her hand, and they turn into ice daggers. Embercore's eyes glow red, and melt the ice on her head. The Siren throws one of her daggers, and it stabs the palm of Embercore's hand! Another dagger goes into the palm of her second hand! Her arms are spread out, and she's pinned to the ground. Embercore screams in pain. The Siren lands directly on top of Embercore, stomping onto her abdomen with her feet! Embercore lets out a gasp. The Siren blows wind at Embercore, and her body gets covered in ice. Only her head remains exposed. Then, the Siren's lets out another shriek aimed directly at Embercore's face! Embercore turns her face to the right, and a large gash forms on her cheek. She turns her face to the left, and another gash forms on her face. Fire starts coming out of her injuries! The Siren leans in closer.
Suddenly, The Siren is forced off of Embercore. She's tied up in Embercore's tail, which has broken free from the ice. The Siren's arms grow wings, and the feathers on the wings turn into ice blades. They cuts off Embercore's tail, and The Siren frees herself. Embercore winces in pain. The Siren grabs one of the blades on her wings, and it turns into an ice spear. She throws the spear directly at Embercore's head! Embercore's eyes turn red, and fire beams shoot out of them. They incinerate the spear, and then head toward The Siren. The Siren's body transforms into wind, and the fire beams go right through her. Her body rematerializes. She grabs another blade from her wings, and it turns into a knife. She grabs the knife with both hands, and flies down towards Embercore. She aims the knife at Embercore's head! Embercore's body dissolves into flames, and the ice encasing her dissolves. The Siren lands in the flames, and her body is engulfed in fire! Some of the flames materialize into Embercore. Her body completely made up of flames. She flies up to The Siren, and clotheslines her! The Siren falls to the ground. Embercore's body returns to normal. Her feet turn into a tail, and her hair turns into tentacles. Her tail grabs The Siren, and ties her up. She is lifted up, and sees Embercore glaring at her. The Siren's eyes turn pink, and she tries to emit another shriek. One of Embercore's tentacles wraps around The Siren's mouth.
Embercore:
That's enough out of you, Siren.
2.8. Stareye vs. The Tracker.
Concurrently, The Tracker appears outside the Synervian Castle. He slams Stareye to the ground, but he maintains his hold around Stareye's neck. His muddy arm starts to encase Stareye in a mud cocoon. Stareye's eyes glow white, and he touches The Tracker's arm. The Tracker's arm freezes, and Stareye breaks free from The Tracker's grasp by shattering his frozen arm. Then, he kicks The Tracker in the abdomen and rolls away. The Tracker is pushed backwards, but he doesn't fall over. Stareye turns around, gets to his feet, and faces The Tracker. The Tracker's arm rematerializes.
Stareye:
Who are you?
The Tracker:
My name is "The Tracker." My partner is called "The Siren."
Stareye gets a good look at The Tracker's super-villain suit.
Stareye:
Your suits look familiar to mine, and Ember's.
The Tracker:
Oh? You've noticed?
Stareye:
I created it, so I should know. Where did you get it from?
The Tracker:
That's not important. Our mission is to put you, and Ember, to slumber.
Stareye:
"A mission?" Who hired you?
The Tracker:
Sorry Star, but I've said enough already. Just do me a favor, and let me take your spirit orb as a trophy.
The Tracker's eyes glow brown, and he raises both of his arms. Mud on his arms morph into his wrist guns. They shoot two mudrocks at Stareye. Stareye ducks the rocks by getting on all fours. The Tracker runs up to Stareye, and throws a fist at him. Stareye catches the fist, and swings his own at The Tracker's head. The Tracker's eye's glow brown, and his head turns into green lava. Stareye's fist gets caught in the lava. It burns Stareye's arm, causing him to yells from the pain. The Tracker laughs.
The Tracker:
Burn, baby! Burn!
Stareye's eyes turn white, and so does his fist. The Tracker's head freezes, and Stareye forces his hand free! A hole is created in The Tracker's melted face. Stareye kicks The Tracker in the chest, and he falls onto his back.
Stareye:
Sorry, but some of us like it cold.
The Tracker's body turns into mud, and melts into the ground. Stareye levitates off of the ground, anticipating another mud or lava attack. Behind him, a lava lasso materializes out of the ground and it wraps around Stareye's neck! The Tracker's lava body comes out of the ground, and pulls the lasso back. Stareye flies towards him. The Tracker knees Stareye in the abdomen, making him bend forward. Then, he elbows Stareye on the back of the neck. Stareye falls to the ground. The Tracker's body returns to normal. He tries to kick Stareye in the head, but Stareye catches his leg and flips him onto his chest. Stareye puts The Tracker's leg in an ankle lock! The Tracker yells out in pain. Then, his leg melts into mud. The mud wraps around Stareye, capturing him. The Tracker does a forward somersault, and swings Stareye forward. The mud releases Stareye, and he lands on his feet. However, he is dragged back towards The Tracker by the lasso. The Tracker's eyes glow brown, and he extends his hand out. A lava sword forms in his hand. He aims for Stareye's chest. Stareye's eyesturn white. He extends his hand out, and a white ice sword materializes in his hand. He puts it in front of him, and cuts the lasso! The lasso disappears. Stareye freezes the remaining piece of the lasso hanging around his neck, and snaps it into pieces. The Tracker lunges forward, and swings his blade down towards Stareye. Stareye swings his sword towards The Tracker, and the two blades clash! Stareye and The Tracker swing their swords towards each other, but their blades clash every time.
Realizing that he isn't making any progress, The Tracker lowers one of his arms, and quickly fires his wrist gun. A mudrock hits Stareye in the abdomen! The Tracker kicks Stareye in the same wound, and Stareye is forced back. He leans over, and grabs his abdomen. He looks up, and The Tracker does a roundhouse kick to his head! He falls onto his chest. The Tracker's eyes turn brown. Vines come up from the ground, and wrap around Stareye's body. Stareye tries to snap the vines, but The Tracker raises his hand up. The ground underneath Stareye raises him up, and turns into a mud hand. The Tracker closes his raised hand into a fist, and the mud hand closes down on Stareye. The Tracker lowers his fist, and the mud hand goes back down to the ground. The mud turns into a cocoon. Some of the mud erodes away, exposing Stareye's head. The Tracker gets on top of Stareye, and grabs the top of his hat. He pulls Stareye's head back, and exposes his throat. The Tracker lifts his sword up to Stareye's neck. Stareye's eyes turn white, and his body transforms into water vapor. The mud mount falls down, and the vines fall over. The mudrock that was inside Stareye's abdomen is revealed.
The Tracker gets up, and looks around. He sniffs the air, and catches Stareye's scent. He turns around. He feels a force hit him in the abdomen, and he leans over. A gasp leaves his lips. Stareye's body is now made up of ice. He punched The Tracker with all of his strength. He bends down, and lifts The Tracker onto his shoulders. He stands up, and power-bombs The Tracker onto his back! Stareye rolls The Tracker onto his chest. He wraps his arm around The Tracker's neck, and puts one knee on back. Ice comes out of Stareye's body, and encases The Tracker's entire body in ice except for his head.
Who are you working for? Who taught you these moves? Where did you get the suit from? Where is Wrathenus!?
The Tracker refuses to answer Stareye.
Stareye:
Answer me!
2.9. Stareye Meets The Destroyer and The Enchantress.
Suddenly, Stareye's eyes glow green. His ice body returns to normal, and his grip on The Tracker is released against his will. His arms and legs are stretched out, and he cannot move. He rises into the air. He is turned around, and The Enchantress and The Destroyer are floating in front of him. The Enchantress' eyes are also glowing green.
The Destroyer:
It seems that you and Ember have gotten the better of our teammates, Star.
Stareye tries to move, but it's futile.
Stareye:
Who are you?
The Destroyer:
You can call me "The Destroyer."
The Enchantress:
And you can call me "The Enchantress." Whatever you desire, I can give it to you.
Stareye:
In that case, how about you surrender?
The Destroyer, and Enchantress, laugh.
Stareye:
Then, you can't give me what I desire. Why are you doing this?
The Enchantress:
We are the Synervian Liberation Force. We will punish Ember for her lack of leadership, and everyone else that gets in our way.
The Destroyer:
However, you can join us, Star. Synervia is about to have a civil war, and there are many creatures of light that want to put you to slumber just for existing. Join us, and we will give you a home where you can live in peace.
Stareye:
I'll never join you!
The Destroyer:
Ha! Such rebellious behavior.
The Enchantress:
Allow me to beat that out of him.
The Enchantress sends a psychic attack onto Stareye, and he starts to scream in pain! In the distance, Embercore hears Stareye's screams. She turns her head, and sees The Destroyer and Enchantress torturing Stareye.
Embercore:
Star!
She drops The Siren, and flies back towards the Synervian Castle. Embercore's eyes turn red, and she sends a psychic blast towards The Destroyer and Enchantress. They're hit by the blast, and The Enchantress drops Stareye. The Enchantress' eyes widen as she sees Embercore floating above her. Then, she frowns and whispers a curse:
The Enchantress:
Ekam reh yap.
Her eyes glow green, and she sends a psychic attack towards Embercore. Embercore is hit, and her body and eyes glow green. Her body starts to freeze in blue ice. The Destroyer flies up to her, and punches her in the face! She starts falling to the ground. Stareye looks up and sees Embercore falling in the distance. He flies into the air, and heads towards The Enchantress. The Enchantress turns around, and sees Stareye coming. She disappears into water vapor, and manages to dodge Stareye just in time. Stareye flies towards The Destroyer, but he disappears into flames. Stareye flies up to Embercore, and catches her in his arms! He lands back onto the ground.
Stareye:
I've got you.
Embercore looks up, and see Stareye. She smiles at him. Embercore is shivering, but alright.
Embercore:
T-T-Thank you.
Her eyes glow red.
Embercore:
Eveiler em fo siht esruc.
The blue ice on her body melts away, and her body returns to normal. Stareye puts her down.
Embercore:
Nice catch.
Stareye salutes her, and smiles.
Stareye:
I always have your back, partner.
They turn around. The Destroyer, and Enchantress, reappear. The Enchantress' eyes are green, and her arms are outstretched. In the distance, The Siren's eyes turn pink. She stretches her arms out, and pink wind emits from her hands. The flames around her body evaporate. After that, she is engulfed in a green smoke and disappears. Back near the castle, The Tracker's eyes turn brown. His hands glow brown, and they melt the ice encasing his body. He gets back to his feet, and turns to The Enchantress and The Destroyer.
The Tracker:
I'm not done yet!
The Destroyer:
Yes, you are! We've lost this battle. We'll regroup, and try again.
Stareye:
Oh no, you don't!
Stareye and Embercore fly towards them. The Destroyer extends his hand, and a fire wave shoots out of it. Embercore gets in front of Stareye, and blocks the wave with both of her hands. The Tracker is frustrated, but gives up. He is engulfed in green smoke, and disappears. The Enchantress, and The Destroyer, turn to Embercore and Stareye.
The Destroyer:
Until next time, you two.
The Enchantress:
And Ember...
Embercore focuses on The Enchantress.
The Enchantress:
Don't bother looking for Wrathenus anymore. Her soul orb belongs to us now.
The Destroyer disappears in orange flames, and The Enchantress evaporates into water vapor. The orange flames attacking Stareye and Embercore disappear. Stareye turns to Embercore. She has a look of shock on her face.
Embercore:
Did they... No...
Stareye:
They told me that, too. Now, they're coming after us.
Embercore leans over, and puts her hand on her knees. Tears start to fall from her eyes.
Stareye:
Ember?
Embercore closes her eyes, and takes a deep breath.
Embercore:
W-We'll worry about that later...
She straightens up, and wipes her tears away. Then, she turns to Stareye.
Embercore:
Let's fix our home first, and we'll continue from there...
Stareye nods his head.
Stareye:
Okay...
