Star and Ember Episode 1-Welcome to Synervia.

This story, and the characters in it, belong to me.

1.1. Creation of the Synervian Universe.
A glowing, humanoid being appears in a dark void. It looks around, and sees nothing but darkness. It stretches out its arms, and light comes out of its hands. A flash occurs and the Synervian universe is created, home to the
five lands of Liwinda (wind), Liquatis (water), Symbiota (all), Pyrano (fire), and Soilifica (earth). Time doesn't exist, and anything is possible, in Synervia. Then the being curls up into a ball, and disintegrates into multiple orbs of light. The orbs disperse, and populate Synervia.

A woman opens her eyes. Her name is Embercore. She is yellow, with red hair. Her right eye is yellow, while her left eye is red. She is in a forest, and is sitting on a branch on one of the trees. Her lower torso is in the form of a tail that is wrapped around the branch. She looks down. At the base of the tree lies a nest filled with orbs. Embercore leans up. Her eyes glow red, and a holographic book appears in front of her. A new page appears that is anterior to the rest of what is already written. Words begin to appear on the page describing what she just saw.

1.2. Embercore Meets Wrathenus.
Suddenly,
Embercore hears an explosion in the distance. She turns her head to the right, and sees a pillar of green smoke rising up into the sky. In an open plain, a crowd of people have surrounded a woman. The woman is purple, but her hair being blue on the right and green on the left. Her right eye is also blue, and her left eye is green. The pillar of smoke is in front of her right side. Half of the crowd is scared of her, but the other half is angry at her. The woman scoots back, and hits the trunk of a tree. She is terrified. Embercore maneuvers through the crowd, and gets in between them and the woman.

Embercore:
What happened?
Male Individual:
That woman just caused an explosion!

Embercore turns her head around, and looks at the woman. She has buried her head in her arms, and knees. Embercore faces the crowd again.

Embercore:
I'm sure it was an accident. You can leave now. I'll handle it.
Female Individual:
Taking the side of
the freaks again, Ember?

Embercore frowns.

Embercore:
We do not
call our fellow Synervians "freaks." Now, leave.

The crowd separates, and disperses. Embercore turns to the woman, and leans down towards her.

Embercore:
Are you alright?

The woman lifts her head up. She sees Embercore looking down at her. Embercore appears to be glowing, and the woman's eyes widen in admiration. She nods her head. Embercore smiles at her. and extends a hand towards her. The woman grabs her hand, and Embercore helps her to stand up. Embercore's eyes turn red, and so do the woman's. Embercore reads the woman's mind, and discovers her name. Then, both of their eyes return to normal.

Embercore:
Your name is Wrathenus, right?
Wrathenus:
Y-Yes.

Embercore:
Can you tell me what happened?

Wrathenus:
I... I placed my hand on the ground, and then it glowed green. Then, the ground exploded.

Embercore walks over to the pillar of smoke. Wrathenus follows her. She bends down, and touches the hole in the ground caused by the explosion. Her eyes glow red, and so does the hole. The hole disappears, and the green smoke evaporates. Embercore stands back up, and turns to Wrathenus.
Both of their eyes turn red, and Embercore reads Wrathenus' mind again. She sees a flashback of Wrathenus during the accident. Wrathenus put her right hand on the ground. Her eyes turned green, and a green light emitted from her hand. The light caused the explosion to occur. The memory ends, and both of Embercore's, and Wrathenus's, eyes return to normal.

Embercore:

You're right. It seems that you have the power to control magic.

Wrathenus' face sulks.

Wrathenus:
Let me guess: my powers caused the explosion? I'm a freak, aren't I?
Embercore:
Hold on. You are not a freak. You just need help to learn how to control your powers. I can do that for you, if you'd like.

Wrathenus turns to Embercore. Embercore smiles at her. Wrathenus feels safe with Embercore, and her expression becomes cheerful.

Wrathenus:
I would like that.
Embercore:
It's nice to see you smile.

The two women smile at each other. Embercore begins to teach Wrathenus how to use her powers.
There is a rock in front of them. Wrathenus' eyes turn green, and she stretches a hand out towards the rock. The rock glows green, and begins to levitate. Wrathenus smiles, and so does Embercore. Then, the rock begins to shake and explodes! Smoking pieces of rock fly towards nearby pedestrians! Wrathenus doesn't know what to do. Embercore's eyes turn red, and she extends her hand out. The pieces of rock stop in mid-air, and glow red. They all fly back towards Embercore and Wrathenus. The pieces land in front of them, and then return to normal. Embercore's eyes return to normal, and she lowers her arm. The pedestrians cheer for Embercore. She turns around, and sees Wrathenus with a sad expression on her face. She motions for the crowd to leave, and they dissipate. The, she turns back to Wrathenus and puts a hand on her shoulder.

Embercore:
Keep trying. you'll get the hang of it.

Embercore walks in front of her.

Embercore:

If you want to have control over your powers, you need to imagine that you have control over them. Control starts in your mind, and then flows into your body. Look at the rock again.

Wrathenus turns to the rock.

Embercore:
You want to have the power to levitate the rock?
Wrathenus:
Yes.

Embercore:

Then believe that you have the power, and move the rock.
Wrathenus:
But-
Embercore:
Look at the rock, and visualize it levitating

Wrathenus turns back to the rock, and glares at it. She visualizes the rock levitating under her power. She blinks. When she opens her eyes again, she sees a green glow around the rock as it hovers in the air. Wrathenus' eyes are also glowing green. She notices the glow around the rock, and has a realization: she is levitating the rock with her powers! She turns to Embercore, who is smiling at her. This confirms Wrathenus' belief. A look of joy appears on her face.

Wrathenus:
I did it!

Embercore:
Because you believed that you had control. Remember:

Embercore points to her own forehead.

Embercore:
Control starts in the mind.

Wrathenus smiles, and nods her head.

Embercore:
I think other Synervians need to learn this lesson as well. We can transform Synervia with our imaginations. Would you like to help me?

Wrathenus' eyes widen, and sparkle with excitement.

Wrathenus:
I would love to!

From this moment, Embercore and Wrathenus became best friends. Eventually, all of Synervia is transformed! There are organic buildings, and transporters. The most important building in all of Synervia is the Synervian Castle. It is a red-colored building shaped like a wide tree, and is made out of fire. Inside the castle,
Embercore is sitting at her desk in her bedroom. She is sitting on her hair, which is made out of tentacles. She is reading her red book. Then, her eyes glow red and she receives a vision. She sees Wrathenus in a circular-shaped room with a male figure in front of her. Then, she sees herself with another male figure in front of her. They are both in the same room. The vision ends, and Embercore's eyes return to normal.

1.3. Technovoid Awakens.
Outside the entrance to the Synervian Castle, a blue puddle comes out of the ground. The water morphs into Wrathenus. She runs inside the castle, and heads down to a room called the Orb Chamber. She opens the door to the room. Embercore is standing in the center of the room. Wrathenus runs
 up to her.

Wrathenus:
Another vision?

Embercore nods her head.

Embercore:

Yes. I think we're going to meet our Spirit-Mates!

Wrathenus' eyes widen out of shock.

Wrathenus:
"Spirit-Mate?" For me
Embercore:
There's someone out there for everyone in Synervia. I think it's our turns now.

The two of them look forward. There are two orbs in front of them.
The orb on the right is black with a white glow around it, while the left orb is white with an orange glow around it. Embercore turns back to Wrathenus.

Embercore:

Are you ready?

Wrathenus nods her head.

Wrathenus:
Y-Yes.

Embercore rubs Wrathenus' back to reassure her. The two of them walk to the two orbs.
The white orb moves towards Wrathenus, and it starts glowing.

Embercore:
Looks like you've found your match. Touch it to begin the Awakening Process.

Wrathenus puts her hands on the orb, and the orb awakens. The name “Technovoid” appears, and the orb transforms into a man. He is white, with orange hair. They reach down and help Technovoid to stand up. When Wrathenus touches him, a strong sensation comes over them! Wrathenus begins to fall down, but Embercore puts one of her arms on the back of Wrathenus to support her. Both Wrathenus and Technovoid are blushing.

Wrathenus:
Wow!
Embercore:
Hold on.

Embercore's eyes turn red, and she puts one hand on her head. Wrathenus's and Technovoid's bodies are covered in a red glow, and they are telekinetically lifted up from the floor. Embercore's eyes stop glowing red. Technovoid is the same size as Embercore.

Embercore:
You two just experienced the Spirit-Soul Connection!

Wrathenus looks up at Technovoid with a huge smile on her face.

Wrathenus:
Hello Technovoid. My name is Wrathenus. I'm your Soul-Mate.

Technovoid extends his right arm out to reach Wrathenus. His left hand touches the floor. Suddenly, his eyes glow orange. An orange fire comes out of Technovoid's left hand. His eyes return to normal, but the fire spreads across the entire room. The walls catch fire, and the building starts to shake! Outside, the right half of the castle is starting to collapse inwardly!

Wrathenus:

What happened!?
Embercore:
Get Technovoid out of here!

Wrathenus takes Technovoid out of the room, and the door closes behind them. Embercore's eyes turn red, and she puts her hands on her head. Her second and third fingers are above her eyes, and her fourth and fifth fingers are below her eyes. The falling debris are covered in a red glow. She is catching it with her mind. She lifts the debris back up, and extends her hands. A red fire melts the debris back into place. The room continues to fall apart! Embercore forms a red psychic shield around her. A huge piece of the ceiling falls down, and is about to fall on the last orb!

Embercore:

No!

She extends her hand, and the debris stops right above the orb. Embercore telekinetically moves the debris to the other side of the room. Embercore flies back down to the ground, right next to the orb. She checks to orb to see if it's alright. The orb rushes over to her, and starts to glow.

Embercore:

You're awakening…

1.4. Stareye Awakens.

Embercore places her hand on the orb, and the Awakening begins. The name “Stareye” appears. The black orb is engulfed in a white light, and turns into a male. He is black, with white hair. He looks up at Embercore. Above her, the entire ceiling starts to fall! Stareye lifts up his arms, and a white light forms in each of his hands. The light engulfs the entire room. The whole room is repaired, and the right exterior side of the castle is repaired with white ice! The crisis is over. Embercore is shocked, but alleviated.

Embercore:
You're a Liquadian.

She looks back down at Stareye. She smiles at him.

Embercore:

Thanks for the help, Stareye. I'm Embercore.

She extends her hand out to him to help him to stand up. As soon as Stareye grabs her hand, the Spirit-Soul Connection happens between them! Outside, the right half of the Synervian Castle gets remade in white ice. Back inside, both Embercore and Stareye are blushing after experiencing the Connection.

Stareye:

What was that!? I feel... weird!

Embercore:

…It happened... It finally happened!

Embercore puts a hand on her mouth out of shock.

Stareye:
Embercore?

Embercore looks at Stareye. She sees that he is confused. She closes her eyes, and takes a breath to regain her composure.

Embercore:
I... *Clears throat* I'm sorry. We just had the Spirit-Soul Connection...

Wrathenus and Technovoid walk back into the room. They're surprised that the room is back to normal.

Wrathenus:
What happened!?

Embercore:
It's okay. Everything's fine now.

Wrathenus notices Stareye, and sees that the last orb is missing.

Wrathenus:
Is that...
Embercore:
The last orb awakened. This is Stareye. He's my Spirit-Mate.

A large smile grows on Wrathenus' face. She and Embercore hug each other.

Wrathenus:
Congratulations!
Embercore:
Thank you!

Technovoid walks up to Stareye.

Embercore:
Stareye, this is Wrathenus and her mate Technovoid.

Wrathenus:
Nice to meet you, Stareye.

Wrathenus smiles at Stareye, and hugs him. Stareye turns to Technovoid. Technovoid towers over Stareye as well. Stareye extends his hand out to him. Technovoid shakes Stareye's hand, and a white and orange electricity forms around their hands. It shocks both of them! They let go of each other's hands. Embercore and Wrathenus are shocked.

Embercore:
Are you two alright?

Stareye and Technovoid shake their hands to alleviate the pain.

Technovoid:
I think so.
Stareye:
That was quite the handshake!
Technovoid:
I'll say!

1.5. Synervia's Backstory.

The four individuals make their way to the living room of the castle. They crowd around Embercore, who is standing in the middle of the group. Her eyes glow red, and her red holographic book appears in front of the group.

Embercore:

This is "The Book of Synervia." It contains the history of our universe that every Synervian is taught after they awaken. Everything in here are visions that have been revealed to me.
Wrathenus:
This is why we call Ember "the oracle." Also, you two are about to learn something that Ember told me way after I awakened.

Embercore:
It was a vision I had right before I met Wrath.

Embercore starts reading. She starts to have flashbacks to her vision.

Embercore (Narrator):
There was a being. It was half male, and half female. It had an idea, and used its imagination to create the Synervian universe. Synervia consists of five lands made of air called Liwinda, water called Liquatis, Symbiota the combination of all four elements, fire called Pyrano, and earth called Soilifica. Then, the being transformed into multiple orbs. The orbs inhabited Synervia, and became us. The first orb awakened... Well, I awakened first. I saw the other orbs around me, and I made a nest to contain them. Eventually, the Synervian Castle would be built to replace the nest. When other people awakened, we learned to harness our imaginations to transform Synervia into what it is now.

The book closes. Embercore turns to Stareye.

Embercore:
As for you and Technovoid, I wonder what your story in this book will be?

Stareye smiles, and starts thinking about the possibilities. Technovoid looks at his hand, and ponders to himself.

1.6. Learning to Fly.

Stareye, and Technovoid, go outside. They are on the left lawn of the castle. Stareye looks up, and sees a flying creature, called a Flyer, soaring above him. His face lights up, and a smile forms on his face. The Flyer soars to the right, over the castle, and then goes into the distance. He looks down, and sees the woods surrounding the sides of the castle. He walks up to the trees, and looks around on the ground. He sees a sturdy stick, and picks it up. He sees a patch of dirt on his left, and starts to draw a picture of the Flyer he just saw. On his right, Technovoid notices this. He begins to look for a stick of his own. Inside the living room of the castle, Wrathenus and Embercore are watching the guys from a window.

Wrathenus:
The guys have already started playing with sticks.
Embercore:
Good. Playtime allows creativity to flow.

Embercore looks at Stareye, and watches him draw his picture. Wrathenus looks at Technovoid. He picks up his own stick, and starts to swing it around as if it was a weapon. He turns to look at Stareye. Stareye is about to finish drawing his picture.

Tecchnovoid:
Hey, Star!

Stareye turns to his right. He sees Technovoid hold his own stick. Technovoid points the stick at Stareye, and smiles.

Technovoid:
I challenge you to a duel! Do you accept?

Stareye leans up, and aims his stick at Technovoid. He smiles as well.

Stareye:
I accept.

Technovoid lunges forward, and swings his stick at Stareye. Stareye swings his stick forward as well. The two sticks collide, and the two men start to joust with them.

Wrathenus:
Now, things are getting interesting.

Embercore turns to Wrathenus, and grows a bit concerned. Then, she turns back to the two boys.

Embercore:
Let's start the lessons.

Embercore opens the door on her left, and walks outside. Wrathenus follows her.

Embercore:
Boys!

Stareye blocks a swings from Technovoid, and then both of them stop. They turn to see Embercore, and Wrathenus, coming towards them. They turn towards them, and stand firm. Embercore, and Wrathenus, stand in front of them.

Embercore:

I love that you guys are having fun, but we have a few lessons to teach you.

Stareye, and Technovoid, put their sticks on the ground.

Embercore:

First, you're going to learn how to fly.

Stareye:

Fly?

Embercore:

It’s one of the three modes of transportation, aside from using a transporter or teleportation.

Wrathenus:
Teleportation can be messy if you do it wrong.

Wrathenus closes her eyes, and puts an arm around her head. A nervous smile forms on her face.

Wrathenus:
I know from experience...

Embercore pats Wrathenus on the back.

Embercore:
You got better through practice. Remember that.

Wrathenus feels a little better from that. Afterwards, Embercore faces Stareye and Technovoid.

Embercore:

Now, follow my lead: look up, and think about the sky as your destination.

Embercore looks up at the sky, and she starts to float off of the ground. Both Stareye’s, and Technovoid's, eyes widen! Wrathenus follows suite. She looks up at the sky, and joins Embercore in the air.

Wrathenus:

Now, it’s your turn, guys!

Both Stareye and Technovoid look up into the sky, and think about flying. Technovoid begins to levitate, and joins the two women in the air. Everyone turns back to Stareye. He is still on the ground.

Stareye:

Nothing’s happening.

Embercore:

Try focusing on me.

Stareye looks up at Embercore. Then... He shoots up into the air! He flies past the group, and starts flipping uncontrollably in the air!

Stareye:

I can’t stop!

Stareye does a sharp turn, and flies towards the castle. He closes his eyes, and prepares to crash into the wall of the building. Suddenlly, he stops. He opens his eyes. He sees the exterior of the castle, which is very close to his face. However, he didn't. hit it. His body is glowing red. Below, Embercore caught him with her. psychic powers. One of her arms. is outstretched towards Stareye. She lowers her arm, and Stareye is lowered onto the ground. Stareye lands on his hands, and knees. Embercore lands on the ground next to him. Stareye is petrified. Embercore pats him on the back.

Embercore:
Are you. okay?

Stareye:

Y-Y-Yes... T-Thanks.... S-Sorry…

Embercore:

You're fine, you're fine.

Wrathenus and Technovoid land on the ground.

Embercore:
We'll just try again.

Stareye:

No... Um, I mean, I will try again later. I think I’ll go lie down for a bit.

Embercore relents, and smiles at him.

Embercore:

Okay, but we will try again later.

Stareye walks defeatedly into the castle. Embercore turn to Wrathenus and Technovoid.

Embercore:
I think you two should finish Technovoid's training at home. I'll probably have to go slower with Star.

Wrathenus:
That's fine. Just try not to traumatize him.

Wrathenus laughs.

Embercore:
What is that suppose to mean?
Wrathenus:
Oh, nothing.

Wrathenus, and Embercore, give each other a peck on the cheek.

Wrathenus:
Take care.

Embercore's eyes turn red, and so do Wrathenus'.

Embercore (Telepathically):
Keep a close eyes on Technodroid's powers.
Wrathenus (Telepathically):
I will.

Both of their eyes return to normal.
Wrathenus, and Technovoid, fly away. Embercore ponders over what Wrathenus said, and how Stareye felt disappointed about failing to learn how to fly.

Embercore:
Hm. Maybe she has a point...

Embercore walks inside the castle, and sits down on the couch. Stareye heard the conversation by leaning against the wall near the entrance to the bedroom. He walks towards the center of the room, and looks up at the ceiling. He thinks about flying. He doesn't move. He stares intently at the ceiling.

Stareye (In his head):
Come on... Move!

Stareye shoots off of the ground! Embercore hears the thump, and heads up the stairs to the bedroom. When she enters the room, she looks up and sees Stareye stuck to the ceiling!

Embercore:
Star!?

Stareye removes his head from the ceiling. He looks down to see Embercore. However, it seems like she is extremely far away. Stareye closes his eyes.

Stareye:
I'm fine... I can do this!

Embercore relaxes a bit, letting Stareye try to take control of the situation. She waits for his next move.

Stareye (In his head):
Imagine... my destination...

Stareye opens his eyes again. He sees Embercore, and she looks closer to him. His vision has returned to normal. He gently pushes his body off of the ceiling. Using his imagination, he slowly lowers his body down to the ground and lands in front of Embercore.
A large smile forms across his face, and his eyes widen in amazement.

Stareye:
I did it... I did it!

Embercore:
I knew you could! Now, let’s have some fun.

The two of them head outside. Embercore flies into the air. She stops, and waits for Stareye. Stareye manages to fly up to her. They fly above people in both their human and animal forms, living their lives. Then, they land on the roof of a tall building. Stareye gets a massive view of the land.

Embercore:
This is Symbiota, the third land of Synervia.

They sit on the edge of the roof, and enjoy the view. Embercore rests her head on Stareye's shoulder. Stareye turns his head to Embercore, and has a look of surprise on his face. However, he turns his head around and smiles.

1.7. The Creation Crew.

Location: Liquatis.

At Wrathenus' and Technovoid's home, which is made out of water, Wrathenus helps Technovoid finish the rest of his training.

Wrathenus:

Alright... Fly!

Technovoid leaps into the air, and flies around.

Wrathenus:
Teleport.

Technovoid's body disappears in an orange flame. In the distance, orange flames appear. They transform into Technovoid.

Wrathenus:
Now, transform!

Technovoid transforms into his animal form. It's a Tyrant-Feline.

Wrathenus:
And
return!

Technovoid transforms back into his human form, and lands back onto the ground.

Wrathenus:
And finally... transporter mode!

Technovoid's eyes glow orange. Orange flames appear around his, and a white hover van transporter appears. Technovoid is in the driver's seat.

Wrathenus:
And... return!

Technovoid's eyes glow orange again, and the transporter disappears in an orange flame. Wrathenus runs up to Technovoid, and hugs him.

Wrathenus:
That was fantastic!

Technovoid:
I have a great teacher.

They kissed each other.

Wrathenus:
Funny you should say that. I had a hard time learning to do all of these.

Suddenly, Wrathenus gets a call. Her eyes glow green, and they project a green holographic screen in front of her. Another man is visible on it. He's green with brown hair.

Man:
Hey Wrathenus, we're ready to continue.
Wrathenus:
Alright. We're on our way.
Man:
"We?" Does that mean-

Wrathenus smiles.

Wrathenus:
That's a surprise. We'll be there soon.

The call ends, and the holographic screen disappears.

Technovoid:
What was that?
Wrathenus:
A call from a friend. We're about to finish a project. Say... This will be the perfect opportunity to introduce to you the Creation Crew!

Wrathenus' eyes glow blue. Blue water comes out of the ground, and transforms into her hover car transporterThe two of them get into the vehicle. Wrathenus sits in the driver's seat, while Technovoid sits on the passenger's side. In the front of the transporter is the steering wheel on the left, and then a holographic screen in the middle. Wrathenus presses a button on the screen, and a holographic map appears.

Wrathenus:
Transporter, take us to the Creation Crew Headquarters.

The map zooms in on Symbiota, and a blue dot appears. It's the location of the headquarters. Wrathenus turns to Technovoid.

Wrathenus:
Hold on tight. Teleportation can be a little bumpy.

Technovoid grabs his seatbelt. Wrathenus' transporter levitates in the air. Its headlights project a blue portal in front of them, and the vehicle goes through it. The transporter is in a purple tunnel of light, which mesmerizes Technovoid. An opening appears, and the vehicle exits the tunnel.

Location: Symbiota.

They are back in Symbiota. The vehicle drives up to
a building. There are letters on the roof that read "Creation Crew Headquarters.Wrathenus and Technovoid exit the transporter. Wrathenus' eyes turn blue, and the vehicle tranforms into water and sinks into the ground. Technovoid's legs wobble a bit, but Wrathenus helps to stabilize him.

Wrathenus:

Don't worry. You'll get use to that.

Technovoid stands up, and looks at the building.

Wrathenus:
Welcome to the Creation Crew. We helped to build everything that you see in Synervia. I'm one of its founding members, along with Ember and a few others.

They walk towards the entrance. Wrathenus grabs the door, and lets Technovoid enter first. There's a large group of people inside. They are using their powers to create multiple things. Wrathenus walks up to him.

Wrathenus:
This is our headquarters. We have other locations throughout Synervia.

On their right, there is a table with people sitting at it. Four people are sitting on the left side of it, and two sitting on the right side of it. One of them, sitting on the left side of the table, turns around and sees Wrathenus and Technovoid. It's the green-and-brown-colored man that called Wrathenus. He smiles at the couple, and gets up from the table to greet them. His chair disappears.

Wrathenus:
Hey Slick!

Slickshot:
Hey, Wrath!

Wrathenus:
Slickshot, this is Technovoid. Technovoid, this is Slickshot. He is also a founding member.

Slickshot looks up to Technovoid, and then he turns back to Wrathenus.

Slickshot:
Is he your mate?

Wrathenus smiles, and nods her head. Slickshot's eyes widen, and a smile forms on his face. He grabs Technovoid's hand, and shakes it enthusiastically.

Slickshot:
Finally! It's so cool to meet you, Technovoid! It's about time that Wrathenus finally found her true love.

Technovoid looks at Wrathenus. Wrathenus blushes, and playfully pushes Slickshot away. She has an embarrassed smile on her face.

Wrathenus:
T-That's enough, Slick! Let's introduce him to the rest of the leaders of the team.

Slickshot's smile fades.

Slickshot:
Oh... right. I guess we have to introduce him to the gruesome threesome.
Wrathenus:
Don't forget about Red, and Ice.

Slickshot remains silent.

Wrathenus:
It will be fine.

Slickshot sighs.

Slickshot:
Okay...

The three of them walk to the table. They sit on the right side of it. Wrathenus introduces Technovoid to the three other members sitting on the left side of the table. They're all men.

Wrathenus:
Guys, meet Technovoid. He's my mate. Technovoid, these are Sidesplitter, Twopiece, and Ripapart. They are the last three founding members.

Technovoid waves at the three men. They wave back. Slickshot sits back in his chair. Two more chairs materialize next to him. Technovoid, and Wrathenus, sit in them. Sidesplitter leans over to Twopiece, and whispers in his ear.

Sidesplitter:
This is our chance to replace Wrathenus.
Twopiece:

Finally!

Ripapart, who is sitting next to Twopiece, joins in.

Ripapart:
No more "accidents."

Slickshot whispers to them from across the table:

Slickshot:

Not now, you guys!

Technovoid looks at Slickshot, and then at the three men across the table. He heard everything that they said. Wrathenus quickly switches Technovoid's attention to the two strangers sitting on their side. The first is a male, and the second is a female.

Wrathenus:
Um... Tech, meet Redeye and Icecore. They are some of our new recruits.

The male, Redeye, waves at him with a sheepish smile. He is yellow, and red.

Redeye:
Hello.

The female, Icecore, responds in a melancholy tone of voice. She is black, and white.

Icecore:

Nice to meet your acquaintance.

Confused by her tone of voice, Technovoid turns to Wrathenus.

Technovoid:
Is she okay?
Wrathenus:
That's just her personality.

Redeye lowers down, and whispers to Icecore.

Redeye:
Cheer up, Ice.

Icecube turns to Redeye.

Icecube:
Cheer up about what?
Redeye:
What do you mean "what?" Wrathenus finally met her Spirit-Mate.
Icecube:
And he has to live in this horrible universe with the rest of us now.

Icecore closes her eyes. She takes a deep breath, and then opens her eyes again.

Icecore:
I'm sorry, Red. I'm... having trouble with my friends.

Redeye:
What's wrong?

Icecore opens her mouth to speak, but then she stops.

Icecore:
I-It's nothing. I'm just gonna move.
Redeye:

Where to?

Icecore:
Liwinda.

In the distance, a woman is listening to their conversation.

Icecore:

If I stay there for a while, they might give up and I can move back to Liquatis.

Redeye:
If you'd like, you can stay with me and Corebreaker.

A surprised expression appears on Icecore's face. She turns her head away from Redeye.

Icecore:
Thanks, but I can handle myself.

Redeye is still concerned, but he doesn't press the issue anymore.

Redeye:
Okay.

Icecore's comes up with another topic to discuss. She turns back around to face Redeye.

Icecore:
By the way, how is everything going with your Mate-to-Be?

Redeye freezes. His gaze turns away from Icecore.

Redeye:
Um... I-I think it's going alright.

Icecore notices that something is wrong.

Icecore:
Oh?

Redeye triess to smile, but it fades away.

Redeye:
Every time I try to contact her, or plan to meet up with her, she always says that she is unavailable. She wasn't like this before...
Icecore:
I'm sure it's nothing. At least, I hope it's nothing. I am rooting for you two.

A hopeful expression forms on Redeye's face.

Redeye:
Thank you.

Ripapart joins the conversation.

Ripapart:
You want to know what's wrong with Synervia? I'll tell you: it's the creatures of darkness living in it.

Redeye looks across the table at him. His eyes blow red.

Redeye:
Shut it.
Ripapart:
And the traitorous creatures of light who defend them.

Everyone at the table becomes quiet. Slickshot tries to find a way to break the tension. Then, he has an idea.

Slickshot:
Hey, Tech! Check this out!

His eyes glow brown. He takes a chunk out of his arm, and it turns into a brown ball of mud. The ball of mud turns into a small Prowler figurine. It begins to move, and turns to Technovoid. It puts its head on the ground, and wags its tail.

Slickshot:
It likes you.

Technovoid smiles.

Technovoid:
Can I touch it?
Slickshot:
Sure!

Technovoid touches the head of the Prowler figurine. His eyes glow orange. The figurine glows orange briefly. Technovoid's eyes stop glowing orange. Then, the Prowler figurine starts to contort and grow larger. Spikes come out of its body, and its mouth grows sharp teeth. Slickshot's eyes glow brown, and he grabs the figurine. The figurine glows brown, and it starts to shrink a bit. However, the figurine glows orange again and continues to grow larger. Slickshot's eyes stop glowing too. He lets go of the figurine, and stares at his hands in confusion.

Slickshot:
I can't stop it!?

The weight of the figurine breaks the table. All eight of the people get up, and move away from the table. Their chairs disappear, and the table crumbles. Wrathenus sticks her hands forward, and her eyes turn green.

Wrathenus:
I've got it!

Green light comes out of Wrathenus hands. The light flies towards the giant Prowler figure, and hits it. The Prowler figure glows green, and so do its eyes. Wrathenus' eyes widen.

Wrathenus:
Uh oh...

The Prowler figurine looks down on at the group. Its mouth opens, and a green fire out of its mouth that moves towards them!

Wrathenus:
RUN!

The group move out of the way before the flames hit them. The other inhabitants are terrified, and begin to run away. Wrathenus' eyes glow green, and she sends a telepathic message to someone.
All of the inhabitants run out of the building. The giant Prowler figurine bursts out of the building, and chases after them. It opens its mouth, and tries to shoot its fire breath again. However, its body is covered in a red glow and is frozen in place. Wrathenus turns her head around, and looks up in the air. Embercore and Stareye appear out of the sky. Stareye lands on the ground, while Embercore stays in the air.

Embercore:
Run towards me, everyone!

The crowd runs towards Embercore. However, Stareye doesn't. He remembers how he stopped the Synervian Castle from collapsing, and an idea forms in his mind. He runs towards the giant Prowler figurine. Embercore sees this below.

Embercore:
Star! Stay back!

Stareye grabs the Prowler figurine's right forelimb. His eyes glow white, and the figurine gets covered in a white light. The figurine begins to shrink. The spikes in its back begin to disappear, and its eyes stop glowing green. It shrinks back down to its original size, and looks normal again. Stareye picks it up, and it wags its tail. Some people cheer. Wrathenus is disappointed in herself. Technovoid sees the sad expression on her face. Embercore remembers the incident at the castle.

Embercore:
Just like before...

Slickshot runs up to Stareye. Stareye hands him the figurine.

Slickshot:
Thank you!

Slickshot looks at Stareye.

Slickshot:
I don't believe we've met before...

Embercore lands next to Stareye.

Embercore:
This is Stareye. He's my mate.

Slickshot smiles, and turns to Embercore.

Slickshot:
You and Wrathenus finally found your mates!?

Embercore closes her eyes, and smiles. She nods her head. Slickshot's eyes widen, and are filled with glee.

Slickshot:
Wait until Evi hears about this!
Ripapart:
Perfect! Just what we need: A creature of darkness in power!
Twopiece:
Even worse: A creature of light with the powers of a creature of darkness.

Embercore turns to them. She has a stern look on her face.

Embercore:
How many times have I told you all not to use those terms?

Sidesplitter steps in front of his teammates.

Sidesplitter:

They're not wrong though. Technovoid caused Slickshot's mud figurine to go out of control. Wrathenus tried to help, but she just made things worse.
Ripapart:
As per usual...

Embercore glares at Ripapart. He looks away from her. Then, she turns her attention to Wrathenus and Technovoid.

Embercore:
What happened?

Wrathenus sulks, and crosses her arms.

Wrathenus:
Technovoid's powers... seem to have caused the figurine to react violently. I tried to use my powers to control it, but they... caused the figurine to breath fire instead.
Slickshot:
Even I couldn't use my powers to make it turn back to normal. Stareye did though.

Some of the other Crew members start cheering.

Crew Member 1:
Yeah! Stareye!
Crew Member 2:
We told you creatures of light that not all of us creatures of darkness are dangerous!
Crew Member 3:
You better start treating us better!
Ripapart:
Just wait! Stareye is going to prove that he's no better than the rest of you! You can have Technovoid as well. He's a freak too!

Technovoid turns to Sidesplitter, Twopiece, and Ripapart. He walks up to them, and glares at them.

Technovoid:
Who are you calling a "freak?"

His eyes glow orange. The three Crew members are a little frightened.

Ripapart:
Um...
Technovoid:
Don't be shy.

Technovoid leans towards them, and a smile forms on his face. The three Members cower. Wrathenus notices this. A feeling of satisfaction stirs inside of her. Embercore's eyes glow red, and she yells out:

Embercore:
ENOUGH!

Everyone is caught off-guard from Embercore's exclamation. Once she sees that she has everyone's attention, her eyes return to normal.

Embercore:
Listen closely: We are not going to talk about creatures of light, or creatures of darkness. We are going to repair the station. Is that clear?

Everyone remains silent.

Embercore:
Good.

Everyone starts to head back inside the building. Icecore, and Redeye, walk up to Stareye.

Icecore:
Welcome to Synervia, Stareye. You get to suffer with the rest of us.

Stareye is puzzled. Icecore walks inside the building. Redeye sheepishly smiles, and shrugs, at Stareye. Then, he enters the building.

1.8. Strangers in Wonderland.
Location: Liquatis.

Later on, Embercore, Wrathenus, Stareye, and Technovoid go to Wrathenus' and Technodroid's home. Embercore, and Stareye, talk to Wrathenus in her living room.

Wrathenus:
I've never seen anything like this for a fire elemental before. He perfected all of his training. His powers are an anomaly though. They act like.... well... mine.

At the entrance to the living room is a staircase. Technodvoid listens to the conversation at the top of the staircase.

Embercore:
We're going to help him. Star needs to finish his training as well, so we'll continue where we left off from before.

Wrathenus nods her head in agreement, but she has a concerned look on her face. Embercore notices this.

Embercore:
What's wrong?
Wrathenus:
I messed up again...

Embercore puts her hands on Wrathenus' shoulders.

Embercore:
Hey. We fixed the station, and there were no casualties. If you want me to continue training you, then I will. It's going to be okay.

Wrathenus nods her head.

Wrathenus:
Okay.

Embercore:
Remember what I taught you:
Wrathenus:
"Control starts within the mind."
Embercore:
Exactly. Believe in yourself.

Embercore hugs her. Stareye leaves the room, and heads for the staircase. Technovoid turns away. Stareye runs up the staircase, and notices Technovoid sitting on the ground. Stareye realizes something...

Stareye:
Did you hear everything?

Technovoid nods his head. Stareye sits on the ground, and faces Technovoid.

Technovoid:
I don't think this is the first time my powers have gone out of control.
Stareye:
What do you mean?
Technovoid:
When you awakened, do you remember the castle being on fire?
Stareye:
Yes.
Technovoid:
...I think my powers caused the fire.

Stareye's eyes widen.

Stareye:
Oh...

Technovoid looks at his hand.

Technovoid:
What's wrong with me? What kind of power do I have?
Stareye:
Hey. I'm still learning to use my powers too. On the bright side, y
ou learned to fly before I did so I believe that y
ou'll learn to control your power too.

Technovoid smiles.

Technovoid:

Thanks.

Stareye smiles back. Embercore's voice rings from the bottom of the stairs.

Embercore (Voice):
Star, we're leaving.
Stareye:
Coming!

Stareye gets up from the ground. As he heads to the stairs, he turns back to Technovoid. He waves at him.

Stareye:
See you later!

Technovoid waves back.

Technovoid:
Bye!

Stareye and Embercore leave.
In Embercore's transporter, Stareye ponders over what happened.

Stareye:
Hey Ember, what did that guy mean by "creature of darkness?"

Embercore sighs.

Embercore:
Originally, the fire and earth elementals called the water and wind elementals "freaks." Now, people have been classifying each other as either a "creature of light" or a "creature of darkness." A creature of light is a fire or earth elemental, and a creature of darkness is a water or wind elemental. As to why these classifications exist, well... The water and wind elementals tend to have a harder time learning to control their powers. Sometimes, even their personalities can be difficult and they have a hard time learning to transform into their animal forms. This is why they are called "creatures of darkness."
Stareye:
...I see.
Embercore:
However, with enough training, they can control their powers, behavior, and their animal forms. You'll succeed, Star. Just don't lose focus, and don't give up.

Stareye nods his head.

Embercore:
Now the other elementals, the so-called "creatures of light," see themselves as above the others because they tend to master their powers faster. They fail to see that their behaviors could use some work. They want to segregate themselves from the water, and wind, elementals. I've fought really hard to prevent this from happening. People should not be judged solely by their powers. Unfortunately, this movement has been growing. Wrathenus was deeply affected by this. And if that wasn't bad enough, any fire or earth elemental that is against segregation are seen as "traitors."
I've been called a "traitor" before myself.

Stareye didn't like what he just heard. A serious look appears on his face.

Embercore:
I'm still trying to find a way to put this nonsense to an end. Synervia cannot thrive unless we all work together.

Embercore's transporter headlights glow red, and they create a portal. Embercore's vehicle enters the portal, and the portal closes. Back at Wrathenus' house, she walks up the stairs and notices Technovoid on the ground.

Wrathenus:
What are you doing down there?

She grabs his arms, and helps him to his feet. Technovoid looks at his hand.

Technovoid:
What's wrong with me?
Wrathenus:
Babe, it's going to be okay. Ember will help us. Star too, once he finishes his training.

Technovoid:
What did those guys mean by "creature of light," and "creature of darkness?"

Wrathenus:
Ignore that. That's just some... It's nothing.

Technovoid notices that Wrathenus looks visibly upset.

Technovoid:
Are you sure? Those Creation Crew guys said some bad things about us. Why don't they like us?

Wrathenus takes a deep breath.

Wrathenus:

There's a growing schism between Synervians. The creatures of light, fire and earth elementals, are persecuting the creatures of darkness, the water and wind elementals. I'm a Liquadian, or water elemental. Creatures of darkness have a hard time harnessing their powers. I've always had a hard time trying to maintain control over my powers. You saw that I made things worse earlier. It's been like this since I awakened. Embercore has worked tirelessly to help me, but it doesn't seem to be working. For that reason, I've always been a bit of a loner.

Suddenly, Wrathenus splits into three versions of herself. One version is purple. The second is blue. The final version is green.

Purple Wrathenus:
I'm use to hanging out by myself, but I do have a few friends. Ember is one. Slickshot is another.

The three Wrathenuses sync back into each other.

Wrathenus:
But now, I have you.

Wrathenus holds Technovoid's hand.

Wrathenus:

I know that you're scared of your powers, but you're not the only one. I know exactly what you're going through, babe.

Wrathenus turns her head away, and frowns.

Wrathenus (In her head):
If only Ember would do something about the increasing animosity between the creatures of light, and darkness.

Technovoid's eyes glow orange, and so do Wrathenus'. He reads Wrathenus' mind, and he hears everything.

Technovoid (Telepathically):
Maybe we should do something then?

Wrathenus turns her head back to Technovoid.

Wrathenus:

Did you hear-
Technovoid:
Think about it: if Embercore cannot control the people, and I don't trust Stareye to do the same either, then maybe Synervia needs new leadership?

Wrathenus' eyes grow larger.

Wrathenus:
What are you saying? Ember has been our leader since Synervia was created. It's the way things are.
Technovoid:
Are you happy with her management of Synervia?
Wrathenus:
I've never... I think that she should improve in some areas.
Technovoid:
Such as?
Wrathenus:
...Well, if I was in charge of the Creation Crew, I would've fired the members that bully me constantly. However, Ember wants everyone to get along...

Wrathenus' hand forms into a fist.

Wrathenus (In her head):
That's hasn't helped my predicament though...
Ember doesn't know what it's like not have control over her powers, or to be hated despite trying your best to get along with everyone!

Her eyes glow orange again.

Technovoid:
Do you hate Ember?

Wrathenus looks at Technovoid with a shocked expression on her face. She puts her hands on her mouth, even though she did't speak.

Wrathenus:
No no no no no! Not at all! I owe her so much! Everybody does...

Wrathenus turns away from him, ashamed of her thoughts. Technovoid walks up behind her, and wraps his arms around her.

Technovoid:
It's okay. You can tell me.

Wrathenus turns her head towards Technovoid, contemplating whether or not she should continue. However, she feels safe around him.

1.9. The Four Watchers:

Location: Symbiota.

On the front lawn of the Synervian Castle, Embercore is teaching Stareye how to transform. They're back on the front lawn.

Embercore:
Alright, Star. Now that you know how to fly, it's time I taught you how to transform into your animal form.
Stareye:
What is that?
Embercore:
Once a Synervian awakens, they have an animal form that matches their elemental powers. First, you have to imprint on me. It allows us to control each other's animal forms.

Stareye:
Is the animal form dangerous?
Embercore:
Inherently, no. However, there have been some incidents in the past with some water and wind elementals. It takes them a little while to transform. When they do, their animal forms can be a little harder to control since they haven't imprinted yet.
Stareye:
In that case, let's get this done right now.

Embercore puts her forehead on Stareye's forehead, and stares into Stareye's eyes. Her eyes glow red, but Stareye's eyes do not.

Embercore:
Hm. i'm encountering some interference. I'm going to use my telepathy to enter your mind. I'm going to try to encounter the creature directly, and imprint on him.
Stareye:
Okay.

Emberccore begins to read Stareye's mind. His eyes glow red this time, and Embercore
enters his mind. She sees Stareye's animal form. It's curled into a ball and sleeping on the ground. Embercore walks up to it. The creature is ten times her size. She places her hand on the creature’s snout.

Embercore:
Creature, it's time to wake up.

The animal doesn't wake up. Embercore tries again.

Embercore:
Creature, wake up!

The animal doesn't move.

Embercore:
Hm...

Embercore comes out of Stareye's mind, and her eyes stop glowing. Stareye's eyes return to normal as well.

Stareye:
What did you see?
Embercore:
I saw your animal form, but it was sleeping. I couldn't stir it, so it might take a while for you to transform.
Stareye:
Terrific...

Embercore puts a hand on Stareye's shoulder. At the entrance of the castle, Technovoid's transporter drives up. Technovoid and Wratthenus exit the vehicle, and the vehicle disappears in flames. The two of them walk up to Stareye, and Embercore.

Embercore:
Hey guys!
Wrathenus:
Hey. I thought about your offer, and I want to take you up on it.

Embercore smiles. She turns to Technovoid.

Embercore:
Tech, I'm going to start a new lesson with Wrath. You and Star can hang out for a bit.
Technovoid:
Sure.

Embercore and Wrathenus walk up to the front door of the castle. Technovoid walks up to Stareye. He sees that Stareye looks somewhat annoyed.

Technovoid:
You look frustrated.

Both of them start walking towards the left field of the castle.

Stareye:
Ember tried to help me transform into my animal form, but apparently it's "sleeping."
Technovoid:
"Sleeping?"
Stareye:
Yeah. You, and Wrathenus, are not the only ones having trouble with their powers.
Technovoid:
We're strangers in paradise, it seems.

Stareye goes up to a tree. He jumps up, and lands on a branch. He sits down on it, and leans up against the trunk of the tree. He looks down at Technovoid.

Stareye:
At the very least, my flying has improved.

Technovoid jumps up, and lands on another branch on the tree. He's on the right side of Stareye. He sits down on it, and leans against the trunk. Then, he turns his head to Stareye.

Technovoid:
I can tell.

Stareye:
But enough about me. How are you, and Wrath, holding up?
Technovoid:
Better now. Wrath is determined to have control over her powers...

Technovoid looks at his hand.

Technovoid:
...As am I.

Stareye:
That's great!

Technovoid looks at Stareye.

Stareye:
We'll get through this together.

The two of them smile at each other, and fist-bump each other. Then, a question forms in Stareye's mind.

Stareye:
Do you remember those three guys from the Creation Crew Headquarters?
Technovoid:
The ones who called me a "freak?" Yeah.
Stareye:
Ember told me that there seems to be, what I can only describe as, a civil war brewing in Synervia.

Technovoid's eyes widen.

Stareye:
People are separating themselves within two camps: the creatures of light and the creatures of darkness. Those guys calling you a "freak" would fit into the former category. I would fit in the latter one.
Technovoid:
They put me in the same category too.
Stareye:
It seems that anybody that doesn't fit their standards are called "creatures of darkness."
Technovoid:
Lovely...
Stareye:

Ember said that she is trying to find a way to rectify this division. I want to help her.

Stareye hears something in the distance. He stands up on his branch, and looks up. He sees three men surrounding another man.

Stareye:
Hey, Tech! Something's happening over there.

Technovoid stands up on his branch, and looks forward. In the distance, the mini mob continues to encircle the man they have captures.

Man:
Just let me go! I didn't do anything!
Mob Member 1:
You existing is a crime!
Mob Member 2:
You creatures of darkness have caused us nothing but trouble! We need to get rid of you all!

The mob members move in closer.

Stareye:
HEY!

The four men hear a voice. They look up, and turn their heads to the right. Sttareye and Technovoid land on the ground.

Stareye:
Let him go.

The mob members turn around. The third member grabs the man, and wraps one arm around his neck and grabs the man's right arm.

Mob Member 3:
Great. More freaks!
Mob Member 1:
Fine by me. I want them all gone!

The first two mob members charge towards Stareye, and Technovoid! The first member charges at Stareye. He swings a fist at Stareye. Stareye grabs the guy's arm, and punches him in the face! Technovoid grabs the second mob member by the throat, and throws him back towards the third mob member. The second mob member lands on the ground, and the third member gets nervous.

Mob Member 3:
Stay back, or I'll-

Suddenly, the mob member's eyes and body glow red. He is frozen in place. His arms are forced to release the hostage man. The man runs towards Stareye, and gets behind him. Embercore, and Wrathenus, land on the ground. The third mob member is being telekinetically held in place by Embercore. The other two mob members' bodies glow green, and they are telekinetically lifted off of the ground by Wrathenus. She moves the two mob members back to the third member.

Embercore:
This will be your first, and only, warning: do not do this ever again!

Embercore and Wrathenus push the three members back, and they fall to the ground. Their bodies stop glowing red and green, and they are allowed to move again. Their eyes glow, and their bodies transform into flame and disappear. Stareye turns to the man they rescued.

Stareye:
Are you alright?
Man:
Yes! Thank you!

Stareye smiles at the man. The man walks around Stareye, and walks away. Embercore turns to Wrathenus, and smiles at her.

Embercore:
Great job!

Wrathenus smiles at her. Afterwards, Embercore walks up to Stareye and Technovoid.

Embercore:

Are you two alright?
Stareye:
Yeah.
Technovoid:
Heh. They didn't get a chance to touch us.

Technovoid turns to Stareye, and pats him on the shoulder.

Technovoid:
Nice punch, by the way.

Stareye:
Thanks.

Embercore has a concerned look on his face.

Embercore:
It's getting worse. There hasn't been any physical altercations like this until now.

An idea forms in Stareye's head.

Srareye:

Then, maybe we should do something about it?

Embercore, and Stareye, turn to each other.

Stareye:
I've been thinking about the whole "creatures of light" vs. "darkness" situation, and I think this might be the solution. Let's form a team.

He turns to Technovoid, and Wrathenus.

Stareye:
The four of us can help protect people, and stop the conflict.

Stareye turns back to Embercore.

Embercore;
What do you say?

Embercore puts a finger on her chin, and wraps an arm under her chest. She ponders over Stareye's proposal.

Wrathenus:
I think that's a great idea.

Embercore, and Stareye, turns to Wrathenus.

Embercore:
Are you sure?
Wrathenus:

I'll keep practicing to maintain control over my powers. Plus, this will give me the chance to show people that I can use my powers for good.

Technovoid wraps his arms around Wrathenus' waist.

Technovoid:
Same here. Count me in.

Embercore turns to Stareye.

Embercore:
What will we call ourselves?
Stareye:
How about, "The Four Watchers?"

The other three members nod their heads in agreement.

Embercore:
Alright. Let's do it.

The two of them smile at each other, and then they hug. Technovoid, and Wrathenus, smile in response.

End of episode 1.
