This story, and the characters in it, belong to me.
Previously on Star and Ember… Everything is fine.
4.1. Expansion.
A red car pulls up to The Den. A man gets out of the car. He is red, and yellow. The car disappears. The man heads inside the building. Slickshot and Eviscera are talking to another woman, who is black and blue. She has her back to the entrance. Slickshot is sitting at a table, and Eviscera is sitting in his lap. The three of them turn to the entrance, and notice the man in the doorway. Slickshot and Eviscera smile at him.
Slickshot:
Ah. Multiplyer. Come on in.
Multiplyer walks up to the woman, and faces Slickshot and Eviscera. Slickshot, and Eviscera, stand up. Eviscera points to the woman next to Multiplyer.
Eviscera:
Multiplyer, this is Telaporta. She's a friend of mine.
Multiplyer and Telaporta shake hands.
Slickshot:
Thank you both for agreeing to join us. We know that both of you have had it rough as of late at the hands of the creatures of light, but now you'll be able to live your lives without fear. Your training starts now.
Later on, a plane is flying over an ocean. The passengers inside are doing their own activities. The plane shakes, alerting everybody inside it. The passengers look through the windows to see what happened. A giant purple tentacle is wrapped around the tail of the plane! A pirate ship comes out of the water. The vessel is purple, with orange flame sails and an excelerator that shoots out orange flames. The ship flies up to the plane. The passengers begin to panic. In the cockpit, the pilot tries to regain control of the plane. A blue portal appears behind him. Three versions of Multiplyer, wearing a new red and yellow super-villain suit, come through the portal. Two of them, clones, aim their hands at the pilot. Their hands have yellow fireballs in them.
Mulltiplyer (Clone):
Stay in your seat, or I'll put a hole in your head.
The pilot freezes, and doesn't move. The Original Multiplyer leaves the cockpit, and faces the passengers. A blue portal appears next to him. Telaporta, now in her own black and blue super-villain suit, comes through the portal. Her eyes, and her hands, glow blue. She raises her hands at the passengers. Multiplyer's eyes glow yellow, and he aims his hands at the passengers as well.
Multiplyer (Original):
Freeze, or you will be put to slumber!
The passengers stop moving, and raise their hands in the air. Multiplyer smiles.
Multiplyer (Original):
You all are a smart group of people. I like that.
Multiplyer's eyes glow yellow, and a yellow screen appears in front of him.
Multiplyer (Original):
Plane is secured.
Telaporta creates another portal. The Tracker, and The Siren, appear through it. The Tracker faces the passengers.
The Tracker:
Ladies and gentlemen, as you all know, the creatures of light and darkness are at each other's throats. A civil war is inevitable. We are the Synervian Liberation Force. We are made up of creatures of light, and darkness. All we want is to live our lives, but we know that we have to use force in order to do so. We offer everyone here a chance to join us. The creatures of darkness will no longer have to cower in fear. The creatures of light will not have to worry about conformity. You will be truly free. Who's coming with us?
The passengers look at each other. One woman gets up, and walks up to The Tracker. The Tracker turns to Telaporta.
The Tracker:
Telaporta.
Telaporta's eyes glow blue, and she extends her hands out. A blue portal appears in front of the woman. The woman walks through the portal. A male passenger gets up, and walks through the portal. Then, multiple people get out of their seats and walk through the portal. The remaining passengers stay in their seats.
The Tracker:
As for those who have refused our generous offer...
Telaporta, and the Original Multiplyer, walk in front of him. They raise their hands, and their eyes glow. They use their powers to put the remaining passengers to slumber. The two Multiplyer clones put the pilot to slumber as well. Afterwards, Telaporta creates a portal that lets the SLF members escape the plane. The purple ship flies away. The tentacle holding the plane drags the plane into water!
4.2. Everything is Fine.
Stareye, and Embercore, are standing on a bridge. Stareye turns around, and looks at his reflection in the water. It looks normal. He turns to his right, and sees Embercore's reflection. It's the back of her head, but something's off. She is wearing a green hood that covers her head. Stareye is confused.
Embercore:
They're here.
Stareye turns around. Embercore looking at the sky. Wrathenus and Technodroid land in front of them.
Technodroid:
So, where are we going today?
Wrathenus:
Oh, you and Star are going to love this.
Stareye turns around to face the water again. He's still perplexed by what he saw. Embercore notices this. She grabs Stareye's arm. Stareye turns his head around, and his eyes glow green.
Embercore:
But it's a secret, so you two will have to be kept in suspense for a bit.
Stareye's eyes go back to normal.
Stareye:
Well, I'm excited. Let's go!
The four of them fly into the sky. The group eventually lands on the top of a mountain. It's a park with a picnic table on the right, and a jungle gym playground on the left.
Technodroid:
This looks like a cozy spot.
Wrathenus:
Turn around for the best part.
The group turns around, and sees a beautiful view of the city. His jaw drops, and he and Technodroid smile at the sight.
Wrathenus:
Amazing, isn't it? Embercore introduced me to this place, and we always hang out here.
The group turns around to look at the jungle gym.
Wrathenus:
We made this shortly after.
Stareye looks at the slide on the jungle gym. Embercore notices Stareye's curiosity. She bends down, and whispers in his ear.
Embercore:
Give it a try.
Stareye smiles, and runs up the jungle gym. He gets to the slide.
Stareye:
How do I use it?
Embercore:
You lie down on your back, and you slide down.
Stareye lies on his back, and goes down the slide.
Stareye:
Not bad.
Technodroid goes up the jungle gym.
Wrathenus:
You can increase the speed of the slide if you want.
Technodroid:
Really?
Wrathenus walks up to the side of the slide where a computer pad is located. Stareye and Embercore follow her. She points to a button with an upward-facing arrow on it.
Wrathenus:
Just press on this button, and the speed will go up.
Then she points to another button with a downward-facing arrow on it.
Wrathenus:
This button turns the speed of the slide down.
Technodroid goes down the slide, but his large size prevents him from going down as a fast speed.
Teachnodroid:
I think I need to turn it up.
Technodroid walks up to the pad, and presses the up button multiple times.
Wrathenus:
Um... Babe, I think that might be a little too high.
Technodroid:
I'm a big guy, so I'll need some more speed.
Technodroid flies up to the slide, and gets on his back.
Technodroid:
Alright. Let's try this agai-
Technodroid goes down the slide at an amazing speed, and flies off of the slide! He ascends into the air, and lands on his face! The other three run up to him.
Stareye:
Tech, are you alright?
Technodroid leans up.
Technodroid:
...I'm fine, but maybe that was a little too much speed...
Everyone smiles, and chuckles at Technodroid's comment. The group continues to hang out at the park. Embercore and Wrathenus are on the swings while Stareye and Technodroid sit at the picnic table.
Technodroid:
Aside from crashing on your first flying lesson, have you been enjoying Synervia so far?
Stareye:
Yes, I have... And for your information, Tech, I've improved a lot since my first flight lesson.
Technodroid laughs.
Technodroid:
I know I know.
Both of them smile. Stareye's eyes turn red briefly, and then return to normal.
Stareye:
I could've sworn that Wrathenus was missing before.
Technodroid:
I don't know where you keep getting that idea from.
Stareye;
Me neither.
Stareye suddenly has flashbacks to the incidents at The Den, and Synervian Castle, where Slickshot got into fights.
Stareye:
...I also remember Synervia being a bit more violent than this.
Technodroid:
There's never been any violence here. Everybody gets along with each other.
Unknown Voice:
Remember...
Stareye's face becomes puzzled.
Stareye:
Remember what?
Technodroid looks puzzled.
Technodroid:
What do you mean?
Stareye:
You didn't say "remember?"
Technodroid:
No...
Unknown Voice:
Look up...
The words "Look up" echo around Stareye. He looks up. The sky turns red. Stareye gets up from the table. He looks at Technodroid.
Stareye:
Do you see this!?
Technodroid looks up. The sky is normal in his eyes.
Technodroid:
I don't see anything.
Stareye looks up again, and the sky is still red. Then his eyes turn red, and he hears the voice again.
Unknown Voice:
Lie...
Stareye starts seeing images of an injured Technodroid lying on the ground, and fighting The Tracker, The Siren, The Lady, and The Destroyer. He gets a headache. He closes his eyes, puts his hands on his head, and drops his head down. Technodroid runs to Stareye, and puts his hands on Stareye's shoulders. He turns to face Embercore and Wrathenus.
Technodroid:
Guys!
Embercore and Wrathenus notice the commotion. They get off the swings, and run towards Technodroid and Stareye. Embercore touches the back of Stareye's head. Stareye's eyes glow green, and his headache disappears. His eyes return to normal. He looks up at the sky. It's back to being blue. Stareye doesn't believe it.
Embercore:
Star, are you okay?
Stareye:
No, I'm not!
Stareye starts walking forward while looking up. The other three try to stop him, but she shakes them off.
Stareye:
The sky was RED! I heard a voice! It sounded like...
Stareye stops in his tracks. He has a horrifying realization. He turns around slowly to Embercore.
Stareye:
It sounded like Ember...
Suddenly, the whole environment starts to turn red. The same mysterious voice can be heard again.
Unknown Voice:
Keep... fighting...
Embercore looks up into the sky, but Technodroid and Wrathenus don't. Stareye notices this.
Stareye:
You heard that too, didn't you!?
Embercore:
How is she reaching him?
Stareye hones in on Embercore's statement.
Stareye:
...Who is?
Embercore looks down at Stareye. A look of annoyance appears on her face.
Stareye:
This isn't real...
Stareye backs away slowly from Embercore.
Stareye:
And I don't think you're Ember...
Stareye transforms into his superhero suit.
"Embercore":
How could you be so rude to your mate?
"Embercore" explodes into green water! Wrathenus and Technodroid disappear! The green water rematerializes into The Enchantress! She's completely green.
4.3. The Dream is Over.
The sky and the ground turns purple, and the entire world disappears.
Stareye:
Enchantress! Where am I? What did you do to me!?
The Enchantress starts walking around Stareye. Stareye retains his defensive stance.
The Enchantress (Green):
I simply put you in the world that you wanted. Wrathenus, Technodroid, and Embercore were back together again and everyone was happy. Unfortunately, Embercore was still able to hijack my mind control over you. She stronger than I thought...
Stareye:
Where is she?
The Enchantress stops walking, smiles, and turns to Stareye.
The Enchantress (Green):
Don't worry. You won't remember anything that happened...
The Enchantress' eyes glow green.
The Enchantress (Green):
Timbus dna tegrof!
Stareye's eyes also turn green, and he gets a massive headache! He grabs his head, falls to his knees, and then bends forward. A smile forms across The Enchantress' face.
Unknown Voice:
Eerf... sih... dnim!
An unknown force knocks The Enchantress backwards, and she falls onto her back. Stareye lifts his head back up, and he opens his eyes. They're red!
Unknown Voice:
Star...
Stareye:
Ember!?
Embercore's Voice:
Listen: you have to use your mind to fight The Enchantress.
Stareye:
"Use my mind?"
Embercore's Voice:
She's using magic against you. Say what you want backwards in order to-
Stareye's eyes return to being green, and his headache returns. Embercore's voice disappears.
The Enchantress (Green):
That's enough out of you, Ember!
Stareye turns to see The Enchantress. Her eyes are green too and her hands are stretched outward towards him. She is walking up to him.
The Enchantress (Green):
Your mate is mine!
Stareye tries to remember what Embercore said to him.
Stareye (In his head):
Use my mind... Talk backwards...
Stareye's eyes widen.
Stareye (In his head):
Is this... all... in my...
Stareye's headache intensifies!
The Enchantress (Green):
Post gniknith! Tsuj timbus!
Stareye's body falls to the ground. He doesn't move.
The Enchantress (Green):
That's more like it, babe.
She kneels down, and lifts his head up.
The Enchantress (Green):
Now, tell me: who do you belong to?
Stareye opens his eyes. They're white! Two ice beams come out of his eyes, and they blast The Enchantress right in the face! She flies backwards, and lands onto the ground. Stareye gets up from the ground.
Stareye:
Not you, "babe."
The Enchantress leans up, and glares at Stareye.
Stareye:
You created this illusion inside my head, which means that I need to expel you from my mind.
The Enchantress forms a frustrated smile across her face.
The Enchantress (Green):
I won't be evicted so easily.
She shoves her hand into the ground. The ground turns into water. The Enchantress' hand comes up from the water, larger than before, and grabs Stareye! The Enchantress stands up, and she starts to grow taller. She becomes gigantic, and Stareye shrinks inside her hand.
The Enchantress (Green):
You mind belongs to me, puppet. Now, be a good little boy and... timbus!
The Enchantress clenches her hand, and begins to crush Stareye! A smile forms across her face. Stareye remembers that Embercore told him to talk backwards.
Stareye:
Re... no... E... Ese... Esa... Esae...
The Enchantress sees what Stareye is trying to do, and she squeezes her fist. Stareye yells out in pain.
The Enchantress (Green):
Oh no, you don't. Timbus!
Stareye's headache returns. He closes his eyes, and tries to fight through the pain.
Stareye:
Esa... Esael... ESAELER!
The Enchantress' hand is shocked by white lightning, she releases Stareye, and Stareye flies up to her head. The Enchantress swats him away with her other hand. Stareye lands in the water, and sinks beneath the surface. The Enchantress reaches down to retrieve Stareye. Stareye's giant hand comes out of the water, and grabs The Enchantress by the neck! The rest of Stareye's body appears out of the water. He grows to be the same size as The Enchantress! He stares directly into her eyes.
Stareye:
Get out of my head!
He lifts The Enchantress up, and then choke-slams her to into the water! The water turns black. The Enchantress wraps her legs around Stareye's head, and tries to squeeze him. Stareye stands up, with The Enchantress still on top of him, and puts his hands on The Enchantress' abdomen. He attempts to power-bomb her, but The Enchantress' legs turn into tentacles and around his head and arms. Stareye falls backwards, and goes into the water. The water turns back to purple. Stareye starts to rip The Enchantress' tentacles off! She yells in pain, but tries to keep her grip on Stareye. Stareye grows a tail, and it grabs The Enchantress by the neck. It pulls her backwards. Her tentacles transform back into legs, and she is thrown away from Stareye by his tail. The Enchantress lands back in the water. Stareye gets back on his feet, and the water turns black again. Stareye looks down, and sees that the water has turned color. He gets an idea.
Stareye:
Ri-no...
The Enchantress stands back up.
Stareye:
Esir!
The water underneath The Enchantress shoots her up into the air! Stareye raises his hand up, and closes his fist. The water lifting The Enchantress up turns into a hand, and closes around The Enchantress in a fist. Stareye throws his fist down, and the watery fist drags The Enchantress back down to the water! She hits the water with a loud thud! The Enchantress opens her eyes. She sees Stareye in the air above her. Stareye points his feet down, and he lands on The Enchantress' face! The purple sky starts to crack. Stareye notices this. He looks back down at The Lady. A crack is visible on her mask.
Stareye:
It's working!
The Enchantress (Green):
No, it's not!
The Enchantress' legs turn back into tentacles, and they reach out to grab Stareye. Stareye jumps back.
Stareye:
Two can play this game.
His eyes glow white. Two black tentacles come out of the water, and they grab The Enchantress by her arms. They pin her down in the water. Stareye flies back up into the air.
Stareye:
Maerd... revo!
Stareye flies back down to The Enchantress. He extends his arm back, makes a fist, and then pushes it forward! He punches The Enchantress right in the face! Her face shatters into pieces first, and then the rest of her body! The purple sky breaks as well, revealing a white sky underneath. Stareye closes his eyes, and the dream ends.
4.4. Stareye Enters the Pit.
Stareye can hear a female voice in the distance.
Unknown Female Voice:
He's waking up! Put him in...
It sounds like The Enchantress. Her voice disappears. Then, Stareye hears a male voice:
Unknown Male Voice:
Star... Star!
Stareye opens his eyes. He is in a cage made of lava. He turns his head to the right, and sees Technodroid looking at him. He is also in a cage, but it is made out of ice.
Technodroid:
Star! Are you okay?
Stareye tries to leans up, but he can't. His arms are tied behind his back by orange handcuffs. His feet are in orange ankle cuffs.
Stareye:
Yeah... But, this isn't my bedroom...
Technodroid:
We're not in the Synervian Castle anymore.
Stareye starts to struggle.
Stareye:
Hang on, Tech. As soon as I find a way to free myself, I'm going to get us out of this.
The Tracker:
No, you will not.
Stareye, and Technodroid, turn their heads to face the end of the room. The Tracker, and two of Multiplyer's clones, appear out of the darkness. Two of the cell bars in Stareye's cell open up, allowing The Tracker and the clones to enter.
The Tracker:
You are being summoned, Star.
Stareye:
I'm not going anywhere with you.
The Tracker extends his arm. His arm turns into mud, and picks Stareye up. He carries Stareye on his shoulders.
The Tracker:
Now now, you shouldn't keep your masters waiting.
All four men leave the cell, and the cell bars return to their original form.
Technodroid runs up to the front of his cell.
Technodroid:
Hey! Where are you taking him?
The Tracker turns to Technodroid.
The Tracker:
Shut it!
Technodroid moves away, and crawls to the back of the cell.
The Tracker:
You will be dealt with later.
Technodroid watches helplessly from his cell as The Tracker carries Stareye away. The four men enter the Control Room. The Tracker tosses Stareye forward. He lands on the ground. The Tracker's arm returns to normal.
The Enchantress:
Ah. There you are, Star.
Stareye looks up. He sees The Enchantress, The Siren, Telaporta, and the original Multiplyer looking down at him. The Enchantress is sitting on the throne.
Stareye:
Enchantress. Where's Ember?
She gets up from the throne, and walks up to Stareye.
The Enchantress:
She has been replaced by yours truly.
Stareye bares his teeth at her.
Stareye:
I prefer the original, not a cheep imitation.
The Enchantress:
Oh, really? You've seen what's been happening with Synervia under your, and Embercore's, rule. People have become more divided than ever. Some of us just wanted to live our lives in peace, while others wanted to exterminate us.
Stareye:
Hypocrite! I don't want to hear that from the person who helped to put Wrathenus to slumber, or as you claimed to have done.
Unknown Male Voice:
As unfortunate as it was, Star...
Orange flames appear in front of Stareye. They manifest into The Destroyer. The Enchantress rests on The Destroyer's chest.
The Destroyer:
Both Wrathenus, and Technodroid, declined our requests to join the SLF. So, we had to make an example out of them. Technodroid managed to survive, but now we are going to rectify that mistake.
The Enchantress:
None of this would've happened if Embercore was a better leader. She always wanted to find a peaceful way to end the conflict, but that never worked.
The Siren:
And the creatures of darkness have suffered as a result.
The Tracker:
And if you're a creature of light that tries to stand up for the creatures of darkness, your own kind turns on you.
Telaporta:
Your Spirit-Mate leaves you just to be with a creature of light.
Multiplyer (Original):
Or, your friends try to put you to slumber.
The Enchantress:
But now, we're fighting back.
The Destroyer:
Once you put your enemies to slumber, you no longer have to deal with them.
The Enchantress goes on all fours, and claws on top of Stareye. Stareye turns his head away from her.
The Enchantress:
This is your chance, Stareye. If you join us, you'll be able to live your life without fear. Plus, if you give your spirit to me, I'll make sure to treat you better than Ember ever could.
The Destroyer:
I can attest to that.
Everyone laughs, except for Stareye. The Enchantress grabs Stareye's chin, and turns his head to face her.
The Enchantress:
The Destroyer and I helped Tracker, Siren, Multiplyer, and Telaporta to reach their full potential. Allow us to help you do the same.
She leans into Stareye's ear, and whispers to him.
The Enchantress:
I know you're scared of your animal form. I can help you. Why keep it suppressed? Let it out.
Stareye's eyes make contract with hers. His eyes begin to glow green. Stareye closes his eyes. He forces his head out of The Enchantress' hands, and turns his head away.
Stareye:
NO!
The Enchantress gets off of Stareye, and slams his head to the ground with her boot!
The Enchantress:
NO ONE SAYS NO TO ME!
The Enchantress' eyes burn with rage through her mask. The Destroyer's eyes glow orange briefly. He's enjoying this. Then, he gets an idea. He leans down to The Enchantress.
The Destroyer:
Perhaps, we should beat that resilience out of him? Then, he will have to either join us or be put to slumber.
The Enchantress closes her eyes and regains her composure. She gets her boot off of Stareye's head, but chuckles a bit.
The Enchantress:
You're going to wish that you were still dreaming, Star. I will make you mine...
She turns to The Tracker.
The Enchantress:
...Through force.
Then, she looks back down at Stareye.
The Enchantress:
Or, you will be put to slumber. Embercore will be all alone, just like I was for so long.
The Enchantress looks back at The Tracker.
The Enchantress:
Take him to the pit.
The Tracker's arm turns into mud again. He extends him arm forwards, and picks Stareye off the ground. He places Stareye back on his shoulders. They, and the two Multiplyer clones, leave the room. The four men go through a hallway, and arrive at a large door. The door is lifted up, and an arena appears. The seats are filled with people. In the middle of the seats in the arena, a large throne and an empty seat can be seen. Below it are two empty seats. Green smoke appears, and it transforms into The Enchantress, Destroyer, Siren, Original Multiplyer, and Telaporta. Multiplyer, and Telaporta, appear in the two empty seats beneath the throne. Above them, The Siren sits in the seat next to the throne. The Destroyer and Enchantress appear in front of the throne, and address the crowd.
The Destroyer:
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a special event for you.
The crowd cheers.
The Destroyer:
In front of you lies the man who wants to take down the SLF.
The crowd boos. Technodroid points towards Stareye.
The Destroyer:
That man's name is Stareye.
The crowd boos again. Stareye gets annoyed.
The Enchantress:
But don't worry, folks! There is one man brave enough to save us all from this wretch. Give it up for The Tracker!
The audience cheers. The Tracker extends his arms, and basks in the positive reaction. He even blows a kiss at The Siren, and she swoons.
Stareye:
What a biased crowd we have here.
The Destroyer:
The beating will only stop when we say it does, Star. This is your second chance. Will you join us?
Stareye gets to his feet.
Stareye:
Are you kidding me? Do you not hear yourselves!? This isn't normal, and it's not right! Solving violence with violence won't solve anything!
The Tracker smiles.
The Tracker:
Speak for yourself, Star. The people that I hate have been put to slumber, so I don't have to deal with them anymore.
The people cheer. Stareye is disappointed.
Stareye:
...This is what you really want? You won't be any better than the people who've hurt you.
The Enchantress:
What I want is to DESTROY those who've hurt me because they DESERVE it! Tracker, don't hold back!
The Tracker puts his fist in his hand.
The Tracker:
With pleasure! It's time for a rematch, Star!
4.5. Stareye vs. The Tracker: The Rematch.
Stareye tries to break his handcuffs, but they don't budge. The Tracker leaps forward, and clotheslines Stareye! Stareye falls onto his back. The crowd cheers. The Destroyer sits in the throne. The Enchantress sits in his lap, and wraps her arms around his head. The Destroyer wraps an arm around her waist.
The Destroyer:
I'm going to enjoy this.
The Enchantress:
So am I.
The Enchantress giggles in excitement. Stareye gets to his knees. He sees The Tracker facing him. Stareye's eyes turn white, and tries to shoot his frost beams. However, his eyes return to normal. Stareye is confused.
Stareye:
What's going on?
The Tracker extends his arm, and lowers it. His wrist gun appears. He fires a lava rock at Stareye. Stareye rolls out of the way, and the lava rock misses his head. He rolls onto his abdomen, and looks up into the sky. He thrusts his upper body upwards in order to fly, but he stays on the ground. The crowd laughs at him. Now, Stareye is scared.
Stareye:
My powers are gone!?
The Tracker:
But mine aren't.
The ground underneath Stareye shakes. A dirt hand comes out of the hand, and grabs Stareye from around his legs! The dirt hand throws Stareye across the arena, and he hits the wall! Stareye falls back down. The Tracker lands on the ground in front of him. He grabs Stareye by the hair, and lifts him up. He knees Stareye in the abdomen. Stareye gasps, and leans forward. The Tracker raises a fist. His arm turns into mud, and he punches Stareye in the head with his mud fist. Stareye flies across the ground, and then falls down. His body drags across the ground a bit. His eyes open, and his pupils contract. He closes his eyes.
Stareye:
Don't... trans-... -form!
Stareye opens his eyes again. His pupils have dilated. He tries to get up, but he feels a sharp pain in his back. The Tracker fired a lava rock into his back. Stareye's body falls back down to the ground. The Tracker's body turns into mud. He slithers over to Stareye, and picks him up from the ground. He lifts Stareye above his head. He turns around, and faces the crowd. They, especially The Siren, cheer for him. The Tracker's body grows larger, and extends into the air. He turns around, sits Stareye on top of his head, and puts his arms around Stareye's waist. The Tracker power-bombs Stareye to the ground on his back! Stareye lands in the middle of the arena. Steams pours out of his wounds, but his body doesn't heal. He struggles to move. Mud comes from underneath him, and encases him in a cocoon. Only his head sticks out. He looks up, and sees The Tracker standing above him.
The Destroyer:
Stop!
The Tracker turns his head to The Destroyer, and Enchantress. The Destroyer has his hand up. He lowers it.
The Enchantress:
This is your last chance, Star. Will you join us?
Stareye:
...N-Never.
The Enchantress:
Such a shame. Yet, I'm glad that Ember will lose her mate.
The Destroyer:
And we will add another spirit orb to our collection.
The Destroyer raises his arm back up, and gives a thumbs down. The Tracker turns back to Stareye, and smiles.
The Tracker:
This time, I win.
He aims his arm at Stareye, and reveals his wrist gun. Stareye closes his eyes. Then, he hears a voice.
Unknown Voice:
Tranform.
Stareye opens his eyes. His limbs are no longer cuffed. He leans up, and sees his Canine-Tyrant animal form looking at him. The two of them are surrounded in darkness. Stareye gets to his feet.
Stareye:
I never wanted to see you again.
Canine-Tyrant:
I protected you when The Tracker and Siren were trying to put you and Ember to slumber.
Stareye:
And you were going to put The Tracker, and Siren, to slumber as a result! I cannot allow you to be free again.
Canine-Tyrant:
Remember that we went through the imprinting process with Ember? We are not wild anymore.
Stareye turns away from the creature.
Stareye:
What if this is a trick? What if The Enchantress wants me to transform, and then I'll go on another rampage?
Canine-Tyrant:
I am not deceiving you. I am you.
Stareye closes his eyes.
Canine-Tyrant:
If you do not transform, The Tracker will put us to slumber. Embercore will be next. Then, who will be left to protect Synervia from the SLF?
The Tyrant's snout touches Stareye's back. Stareye turns his head around.
Canine-Tyrant:
We need to work together.
Stareye turns around. He stares into the Tyrant's eyes.
Stareye:
...I trust you.
He wraps his arms around the Tyrant's snout.
Stareye:
Help me break these chains.
Stareye opens his eyes again. He is back in the arena. His pupils have contracted again. In the cocoon, his body starts to glow white. The cocoon freezes. The Tracker is caught off-guard. Stareye's body starts to grow larger, and the cuffs break! Stareye stretches out his limbs, and the cocoon is shattered into pieces! The audience lets out a collective gasp.
The Destroyer:
NO!
The Tracker shakes his head, and fires his wrist gun. Stareye's body turns into water vapor, and the lava rock goes right through him. The water vapor morphs back into Stareye, and he has his superhero suit on. He flies up to The Tracker's head. His body turns into ice, and he swings a fist at The Tracker. He punches a hole through The Tracker's head, and The Tracker's head freezes. Stareye lands back onto the ground, but on all fours. He turns around, and faces The Tracker. The Tracker's face heals up. The Tracker hears growling noises behind him. He turns around, and sees Stareye in his Canine-Tyrant form. The Tracker's body is large enough to look at the Tyrant in the eyes. The Tracker's eyes widen, and the Tyrant's eyes turn white.
The Tracker:
Not again...
The Tyrant opens his mouth, and he shoots his ice breath at The Tracker. The Tracker is frozen in place, like a giant statue! The audience is silenced. Afterwards, the Tyrant turns to the audience. He opens his mouth, and fires his ice breath at them! However, a green force field appears in front of the audience and prevents the ice breath from reaching them. The Tyrant is surprised. He transforms back into Stareye, and flies up into the air. He soars above the crowd, but then he hits another green force field. The force of the impacts sends him back a bit. He flies back up, and extends his hands out. His hands touch the force field. Stareyee looks down. His eyes bulge as he realizes where he is: he's on a ship! Its the pirate ship. The ship is sailing in the sky.
Stareye:
I'm in the sky... against my will!
A lava beam hits Stareye in the back! He falls a bit, but regains his composure. His body begins to heal. He turns around. The Tracker's head is now lava, and has melted through the ice. The lava beam came out of his mouth. The Tracker breaks one of his arms free from the ice. It is now made out of lava. His hand turns into a scythe. His arm stretches forward, and tries to swing at Stareye. Stareye flies out of the way, and the lava scythe hits the force field. Stareye notices that the force field is still intact.
Stareye (In his head):
I can't break that thing! Perhaps, I can use magic to-
The Tracker opens his mouth, and another lava beam comes out of it. It flies towards Stareye. Stareye flies out of the way. The lava beam hits the force field, but the force field is intact. Stareye turns around, and sees the entrance to the arena. He flies towards The Tracker. The Tracker swings his lava scythe at Stareye again, but Stareye flies around it. He heads towards the entrance. The two Multiplyer clones at the door raise their hands up, and their eyes glow red. Stareye's eyes glow white. Then, something grabs Stareye's legs. It's The Tracker's lava hand. It throws Stareye to the ground! The Tracker melts the ice off of his body, revealing that it is now completely made up of lava.
The Tracker:
You're not going anywhere!
The Siren:
Get 'em, babe!
Stareye gets back to his feet. The Tracker extends his hand forward. It morphs into a bow, and arrow. A lava arrow is fired. Stareye's eyes turn white, and he blows his frost breath at the arrow. The arrow freezes, and Stareye catches it. He turns around, and throws it at the two Multiplyer clones. One of the Multiplyer clones aims his hand forward, and shoots a fire beam at the arrow. The fire beam hits the frozen arrow, and makes it explode. Underneath Stareye, lava comes out of the ground and starts to encase him. The Tracker's hand turns back into a scythe, and he swings it at Stareye's head. The scythe hits Stareye in the neck! The audience gasps! The Siren leans forward in her seat. However, Stareye's eyes and body turns white. His body turns into ice, and causes the lava scythe to freeze over. The ice moves up The Tracker's arm. The Tracker pulls his arm apart before the ice engulfs it completely. The lava trapping Stareye freezes, and Stareye breaks free.
The Tracker:
THAT'S IT!
Stareye looks up. The Tracker's body pounces onto Stareye in a mound of lava! It completely swallows Stareye. Stareye screams from the pain. The Tracker laughs.
The Tracker:
BURN! BURN!
Stareye tries to fly out of The Tracker's body. An outline of Stareye's head, and hands, poke through the lava.
The Tracker:
Oh no, you don't!
Lava covers Stareye's head and hands, and he disappears into the lava again.
The Tracker:
You're going to slumber RIGHT NOW!
The Tracker watches his abdomen. He doesn't feel any movement inside of him. Silence grasps the arena. Then, applause breaks out from the audience. The Siren cheers emphatically for her mate. The Enchantress turns to The Destroyer.
The Enchantress:
He did it!
The Destroyer:
I don't know... That was too easy.
Suddenly, a white light flashes inside The Tracker's abdomen. It flashes twice. The Tracker notices this. His eyes widen. Then, ice forms in the middle of his abdomen. The Tracker clenches his fist, and closes his eyes. Lava covers the ice, and melts it away. Another white flash appears inside The Tracker's abdomen. Then, The Tracker's entire body turns into ice! The audience is in total disbelief.
The Siren:
NO!
Stareye bursts through The Tracker's frozen body in his Canine-Tyrant form! The Tracker's body collapses to the ground, and shatters to pieces. The Tyrant charges towards the entrance of the arena. The two Multiplyer clones aim their hands at the Tyrant. The Tyrant's eyes glow white, and he shoots his ice breath out of his mouth. The ice breath hits the two Multiplyer clones, and freezes them in place. However, a force field protects the door from the ice breath. The Tyrant transforms back into Stareye.
Stareye:
Nepo!
An opening forms in the force field.
The Enchantress:
NO!
Her eyes glow green, and she stretches out her hands. The opening begins to close up. Stareye leaps forward, and manages to go through the opening in the force field before it closes up. Stareye bursts through the door, and runs back inside the ship. Back in the arena, the frozen remains of The Tracker melt into lava pieces. The pieces combine together, and morph back into The Tracker. He is furious. He turns to The Destroyer, and Enchantress.
The Tracker:
The Siren, Multiplyer, Telaporta, and I will track him down.
The Destroyer:
The Enchantress, and I, will help you.
The Enchantress:
We cannot allow him to find Ember!
4.6. Searching for Embercore.
Stareye runs into the middle of a room. He stops, and looks around. There are four corridors around him.
Stareye (In his head):
Okay... If I were to hold someone prisoner, where would I put them?
An idea forms in his head, and he looks down.
Stareye (In his head):
Let's start at the bottom.
He bends down, and shoves his hands through the floor. He creates a hole large enough for him to fit through, and he slides through it. He lands on the floor, and examines his surroundings. He is in another corridor. There is a pair of orange handcuffs hanging from the ceiling. He cautiously walks around the handcuffs, while watching them with trepidation. Afterwards, he walks up to the middle of the corridor, and turns his head to the left. He sees a door. He turns his head to the right, and sees another door at the end of the corridor. Then, he hears something above his head. He looks up. Blue water comes out of the ceiling, and starts to morph into a female figure hanging upside down. Stareye's eyes turns white. His body turns into water vapor, and disappears. The water figure lands on the floor on her feet, and morphs into the Enchantress. On the left, white wind seeps in from underneath the door. It goes over to The Enchantress, and morphs into The Siren. In front of them, a blue portal opens up on the floor. Telaporta jumps out of it.
The Enchantress:
Spread out, and find him.
Telaporta goes into the room on the left. Eviscera walks behind The Enchantress, and goes down the corridor to another door. The Enchantress walks forward, and reaches a door at the end of the corridor. Her eyes glow green, and a green force field appears. It disappears, and the door opens. The Enchantress walks through the door, and enters the room. She looks around, and then turns into a puddle of water again. The puddle disappears into the ground. Suddenly, mist appears and turns into Stareye. He looks forward, and sees Embercore chained up to the wall. He runs up to her. He examines the restraints. They're glowing green. Stareye realizes that they are magic cuffs.
Stareye:
Esaeler.
The cuffs open, and Embercore's limbs are freed. Stareye grabs Embercore. He wraps her right arm around the back of his head, and grabs her waist. They start walking towards the entrance.
Stareye:
Don't worry. I've got you.
Embercore:
Oh. On the contrary, my dear...
Stareye stops. A look of realization, and horror, forms on his face. He turns his head to Embercore. Embercore's legs turn into tentacles, and they grab Stareye. Then, Embercore's body changes into The Enchantress! She is completely green again.
The Enchantress (Green):
I've got you.
The Enchantress' tentacles swing Stareye into the right side of the wall. The Enchantress starts to laugh. Then, Stareye is swung into the left wall by her tentacles. Then, The Enchantress' eyes glow green. A portal appears on the ceiling. She jumps through it, dragging Stareye along with her. They appear in the Control Room again. The Enchantress' tentacles throws Stareye forward, and he lands on the floor. The portal closes. Stareye looks up, and he sees Telaporta on his left, and The Siren on his right. Then, he turns his head around to face The Enchantress. However, he sees something that makes his eyes bulge. The green Enchantress is standing directly behind him. Then, a purple Enchantress is sitting in the throne in the middle of the room. Standing on the right side of the purple Enchantress is a blue Enchantress.
Stareye:
How-
The Enchantress (Green):
I made you see what you wanted to see.
The Enchantress (Blue):
But also, what I wanted you to see.
Everything is black. A yellow Embercore is curled up in a ball, and encased in a purple light. Her eyes are closed. Then, a voice can be heard:
Unknown Male Voice:
Ember... Ember...
Embercore opens her eyes. She sees a black figure with two white eyes looking at her. It extends a hand out to her. She reaches out, but the purple light prevents her hand from reaching the figure. The black figure's hand goes through the purple light, and grabs Embercore's hand. It pulls her out of the purple light, and helps her to stand up. She looks around the black void, and doesn't see anything. She turns back to the black figure.
Embercore (Yellow):
Where's my other half?
A white road appears underneath her feet. The black figure pulls her hand, and the two figures start running down the road. Eventually, a purple light emits in the distance. In the middle of the light, a mountain made up of blue snow appears. The two figures stop, and notice the mountain. The black figure points towards the mountain, and looks back at Embercore.
Embercore (Yellow):
She's up there?
The black figure nods his head. The two of them continue to move, and eventually reach the base of the mountain. Then, the back figure begins to disappear. He backs away from the base of the mountain, and returns to normal.
Embercore (Yellow):
You can't come with me?
The black figure shakes his head. Embercore turns to look up the mountain. It's very tall. She turns back to the black figure, walks up to him, and kisses him on the forehead. Then, she smiles at him.
Embercore (Yellow):
Thank you.
She turns around, and walks back up to the base of the mountain. She puts her hands in the snow, and begins to start climbing the mountain. The black figure disappears, and so does the white road that he and Embercore travelled on. Embercore manages to get to the middle of the mountain. She constantly shoves her hands, and shoes, into the snow. However, her hands have started to turn blue. It hurts her, but she grits her teeth and continues to climb. As she begins to reach the summit, she hears growling. She stops moving. Behind her, a purple tentacle comes out of the mountain and grabs Embercore around her waist! It carries her up to the top of the mountain. In the middle of the mountain, a blue mouth made up of tentacles comes out of the ground. The mouth opens up. The tentacle shoves Embercore into the mouth. The mouth goes back into the ground, and so does the tentacle. Then, the ground glows yellow. Embercore bursts out of the ground, and into the air a bit! She falls back down to the ground afterwards. Her body is covered in blue ice, and she is shivering. She crawls away from the hole in the ground. She closes her eyes, and whispers a cure:
Embercore (Yellow):
Eruc... em.
Embercore's body glows yellow, and the ice on her body melts away. Then, a voice can be heard that seems to be coming from the sky. It's The Enchantress' voice!
The Enchantress (Voice):
Foolish girl! Your mind belongs to me!
The ground underneath her begins to shake. Suddenly, something bursts out of the hole in the ground. It's a huge, three-headed Octo-Serpent. She Serpent leans down, and stares down at her. The head on the right is blue. The middle one is purple. The one on the left is green. The rest of the Serpent's body is purple. Behind the Octo-Serpent is another Embercore, but she's red. She is curled up in a purple light and her eyes are closed, just like the yellow Embercore was. The yellow Embercore is afraid, but she stands her ground. She faces the Octo-Serpent.
Embercore (Yellow):
I won't be held prisoner by you any longer. I'm retrieving my other half, and expelling you from my mind.
Embercore's eyes glow yellow. A yellow fire sword appears in her right arm, and a shield appears in her left arm. The right head of the Octo-Serpent hisses at Embercore, and opens her mouth. Ice breath comes out of her mouth, and heads towards Embercore. Embercore's raises her shield, and it blocks the ice breath from hitting her. Embercore flies towards her red half. Two of the Serpent's tail tentacles try to cut her off, and go after her. Embercore cuts them both off. However, a third tentacle grabs Embercore around her legs. The tentacle slams Embercore to the ground on the left side of the Serpent, and then on the right side. Two more tentacles grab Embercore's limbs, and stretch them outwards. The right head of the Serpent leans down towards Embercore. Embercore's eyes turn yellow, and her body turns into flames. The tentacles loos their grip on Embercore. The flames re-materialize into Embercore, and she is holding her sword with both hands now. She flies up to the right head of the Serpent. Then, the left head of the Serpent appears and grabs Embercore. Its eyes are glowing green. It throws Embercore to the ground. Embercore's eyes, and her body, are glowing green. She's been poisoned, and cannot move! Then, the right head of the Serpent grabs her and swallows her whole!
Then, Embercore's voice can be heard.
Embercore (Yellow) (Voice):
Eruc dna esrever!
The Serpent's right head glows yellow, and gets dissected! Embercore's body has healed, but has turned into flames. She is holding her sword, and her eyes are glowing yellow. The left head of the Serpent moves towards Embercore. It's eyes turn green, and opens its mouth. Embercore jumps off of the severed neck of the right head, and flies towards the left head. Embercore swings her sword upwards.
Embercore (Yellow):
Tuc hguorht!
Embercore's sword cuts through the left head of the Serpent, and splits it into two parts! Embercore runs on the back of the neck of the left head, and then jumps off. She lands on the ground, and runs towards her red half trapped in a purple light.
Embercore (Yellow):
Eerf reh.
She stretches her hand out, and it goes through the purple light. The Enchantress' voice can be heard in the sky again.
The Enchantress (Voice):
NO!
The Serpent's purple head lunges towards the yellow Embercoe, and opens her mouth to swallow her. The red Embercore's eyes open. She sees the hand of the yellow Embercore sticking into the purple light. She reaches out, and touches the yellow Embercore's hand. A red fire surrounds the two Embercores. The Serpent's mouth touches the fire, and the fire burns her. The Serpent shakes her head, and backs away. The two heads on the Serpent heal up, and reappear. The Serpent looks down, and sees the fire materialize into the original Embercore.
Embercore:
Now, get out of my head!
Embercore's eyes turn red, and her fire sword and shield reappear in her hands. She flies up to the Serpent. The Serpent sends two tail tentacles at her. Embercore swings her shield in front of her, and the first tentacle bounces off of the shield. Embercore cuts the tentacle off with her sword. The severed tentacle retracts from her. The second tentacle lunges forward. Embercore shoves her sword upwards, and stabs the tentacle! The tentacle goes up, but Embercore remains attached to it. The right head of the Serpent opens its mouth. Embercore knows what she's trying to do. She lets go of her sword, and the sword disappears into flames. Embercore flies to the top of the Serpent's head. Her shield turns into flames, and transforms into a sword. She tries to shove the sword into the head of the Serpent, but she gets caught by a tentacle. The tentacle lowers Embercore down to the Serpent's right head. Embercore's eyes glow red. Her body transforms, and grows larger. She turns into a yellow Octo-Serpent.
Her tail tentacles wrap around the body of the purple Octo-Serpent. Her eyes glow red, and she opens her mouth. Fire comes out of her mouth, and burns the right head of the purple Serpent off. Then, she lunges towards the middle head of the purple Serpent. Her eyes are glowing red. The left head of the purple Serpent grabs her, and tries to infect her with her venom. However, the yellow Serpent isn't infected. She forms a second head, and it's red this time. Her eyes are glowing red. The red head reaches out, and bites the middle head of the purple Serpent! She infects the purple Serpent wit her own venom. Red, veiny lines begin to appear on the purple Serpent's two heads, and go down her body. The red head of the yellow Serpent rips off the middle head of the purple Serpent! The left head of the purple Serpent lets go of the yellow Serpent's yellow head, and melts away. The body of the purple Serpent falls to the ground, and the mountain crumbles! The sky turns red, and the ground turns yellow. Then, the ground begins to glow and everything gets consumed in a yellow light.
In a cell on the ship, the yellow Embercore is being held in green restraints and has a green helmet on her head. The restraint turn red, and burn away. The green helmet on her head does the same thing. The yellow Embercore falls to the ground. She gets to her feet, and sees that she is in blue cell with water bars. Her eyes turn yellow.
Embercore (Yellow):
Etaropave.
The cell turns into mist, and disappears. Embercore closes her eyes, and sends out a telepathic message to her red half.
Embercore (Yellow) (Telepathically):
I'm here. Can you read me?
She opens her eyes again. There is a door in front of her. She walks up to it, and the the door opens. There are two Multiplyer clones in front of her. They turn around, and raise their fists up.
Multiplyer Clones:
Hold it right there!
Behind them, red flames appear. They manifest into the red Embercore. She grabs them by their shoulders, and knocks their heads into each other! She lets go of them, and the two Multiplyer clones fall to the ground. Then, the red Embercore turns to her yellow half.
Embercore (Red):
Are you alright?
Embercore (Yellow):
I'm fine, but I want to get to Star as soon as possible.
The yellow Embercore's eyes glow yellow.
4.7. Identities Revealed.
In the Control Room, Stareye's eyes glow yellow briefly, and then go back to normal. Then, he hears the voice of the purple Enchantress.
The Enchantress (Purple):
Now, are you going to behave like a good boy and surrender?
Unknown Male Voice:
How about you let him go instead?
A male voice echoes from the front of the room. Everyone turns their attention to the entrance. They see Technodroid holding The Tracker, and the original Multiplyer, in his hands. He tosses the two of them aside, and runs up to Telaporta and The Siren. The two women back away, and fly up to the green Enchantress. Stareye gets back to his feet. Technodroid runs up to his left side. Both of them raise their fists up.
Stareye:
How did you get out?
Technodroid:
Those two jerks tried to use me as bait to try and lure you out. I managed to overpower them, and free myself from that stupid cage.
Stareye:
It's good to have you back, but I can't let you-
Technodroid:
We are in a dire situation, Star. You need my help.
Stareye smiles.
Stareye:
Alright, then. Let's take these guys down!
Suddenly, Stareye feels a sharp pain in his back. He gasps as an orange sword is sticking out of his chest! Technodroid just stabbed him with his orange wrist sword! A smile is on Technodroid's face.
Technodroid:
Sorry, Star, but the game is over.
He takes his wrist sword out of Stareye's chest. Stareye gets on his hands and knees. Steam comes out of his wound. His eyes widen in shock. He cannot believe what just happened, but everything makes sense to him now.
Stareye:
...N-N-No...
The Tracker, and Multiplyer, get up from the ground. The Tracker walks over to The Siren, and Multiplyer walks over to Telaporta. Technodroid walks around Stareye, and faces him. He bends down, and grabs Stareye by the chin. He lifts his head up to face him.
Technodroid:
Oh, I've waited so long to hold you in my arms. Now, you get to see my true form.
Stareye:
...D-D-Destroyer...
Technodroid smiles.
Technodroid the Destroyer:
Hello, Stareye.
Two Unknown Female Voices:
Tcetorp mih!
Two female voices fill the room. A red, and yellow, circular force field comes out of the entrance to the room. It engulfs Stareye, and starts to push the others back. The purple Enchantress stands up. She, and the blue and green Enchantresses, make their eyes glow. They extend their hands up.
The Enchantress (All three of them):
Tcelfed rieht kcatta!
A purple, green, and blue ring of light emits from their hands. The ring of light cuts through the force field. A red tentacle on the right, and a yellow tentacle on the left, grab Stareye and pull him back towards the entrance. Two women catch Stareye, and wrap their arms around him. He turns his head around, and sees the two Embercore's. The three Enchantresses combine back into one, and The Enchantress gets in front of the group. The two Embercores combine, and turn back into the original. She is in her superheroine suit. She helps Stareye to get to his feet. Stareye's body heals up, but he's still in shock.
Stareye:
It was... all a lie... all of it...
The Enchantress glares at Embercore. Embercore stares right back at her.
Embercore:
No more games. Show yourself... Wrathenus...
The Enchantress' mask disappears, and reveals her identity to be Wrathenus.
Enchantress:
Did Technodroid put you up to this?
An evil smile forms across Wrathenus', and Technodroid's, faces.
Wrathenus the Enchantress:
Technodroid didn't force me to do anything. I joined him willingly.
Embercore:
...Why?
Wrathenus' smile disappears. She leans forward, and says:
Wrathenus the Enchantress:
I. Hate. You.
Embercore remains serious, but tears start to flow from her eyes.
Wrathenus the Enchantress:
We ALL hate you.
The Tracker's, and Siren's, masks disappear. The Tracker is Slickshot, and The Siren is Eviscera. Both Stareye's, and Embercore's, eyes widen in shock.
Embercore:
All of you!?
Eviscera the Siren:
Remember what I told you before? You couldn't protect us, so we took matters into our own hands!
Embercore:
...By hurting people?
Slickshot the Tracker:
They attacked us first, Ember. Call it retribution.
Wrathenus the Enchantress:
When I concocted my disappearance, I hid in the shadows to help Technodroid build our army. However, I noticed that most of the creatures of light were happy that I was gone. That hatred fueled my own anger, and propelled me to keep going.
Wrathenus raises her hands.
Wrathenus the Enchantress:
All of this, Embercore...
Technodroid walks behind her, and wraps his arms around her waist. Wrathenus wraps her right arm around Technodroid's cheek, and rest her left arm on his arms.
Wrathenus the Enchantress:
...Was conducted with one goal in mind: to put you and Stareye to slumber!
Technodroid the Destroyer:
And we will rule in your place. In fact...
Technodroid lets go of Wrathenus, and walks to her left.
Technodroid the Destroyer:
Allow me to dress properly for the occasion.
Technodroid's eyes glow orange. He raises his head up, and opens his mouth. Orange fire comes out of his mouth, and consumes his entire body. The flames morph into The Destroyer's super-villain suit, except the helmet doesn't appear. Technodroid's fists are raised up to his chest. He lowers his head, and forms a smile that bears his teeth. Fire still burns out of his eyes.
Technodroid the Destroyer:
Witness the power that destruction has given me!
Wrathenus looks at Technodroid with admiration. and glee, in her eyes. A massive smile forms across her face. Stareye, and Embercore, look at Technodroid's visage with horror.
End of episode 4.
