Detective Stareye is a fictional character created by me.
1.1. Creation of the Synervian Universe.
In the void, nothing but darkness exists. A sphere of light emerges, penetrating through the night like a sword. The sphere of light turns into a humanoid-shaped being. It looks around but sees nothing. An idea comes into its mind, and the being curls up into a ball. It disintegrates into multiple orbs, with two giant orbs located in the middle of them. The orb on the left, a spirit orb, is orange while the orb on the right, a soul orb, is blue. The orange spirit orb turns into a man named Patrio, and the blue soul orb turns into a woman named Matria. They open their eyes at the same time. They look around and see the sea of orbs glowing around them. There seems to be billions of them, and they start to change into different colors. They look down at their hands, and light appears around them. They look at each other in amazement. Curious about the result, Matria and Patrio extend one of their hands out to each other, and they connect. Then the light coming out of their hands expands, and engulfs them and the other orbs...
Matria opens her eyes. She is standing up and looking out of a window in her office, located at the end of the room behind her desk. She watches people in their human and animal forms walking, and/or talking, with each other. She is in Synervia Castle. The sun has started to set, bathing the landscape in an orange glow. Suddenly, Patrio walks up behind her and wraps his arms around her.
Patrio:
Hello beautiful.
Matria smiles, sinking into the warm of Patrio's huge muscles. Patrio towers over her.
Matria:
Hey handsome.
Patrio:
King and Queen cyborg are here.
Matria:
Alright. Let's go.
1.2. Technodroid Awakens.
They walk down towards a new room, titled "Orb Chamber," and enter it. Inside, the room is circular in form. Near the entrance, on the left, an elevator that leads up to an observatory. In it, a man and a woman are inside it. They watch from above as Matria and Patrio walk towards a couple located in the center of the room. The couple are King and Queen Cyborg, rulers of the race of cyborgs. At the end of the room, two orbs are present. Patrio shakes hands with King Cyborg, and Matria hugs Queen Cyborg.
Matria:
Today is the day. Are you two ready?
Queen Cyborg:
Yes. We've been thinking about this all week.
Patrio rubs his hands together in excitement.
Patrio:
Alright then. Let's get started!
The four of them walk up to the two orbs at the end of the room.
Matria:
These are the last two spirit orbs left. Let's see which one will be your match.
The orbs on the right is black with a white glow around it, while the left orb is white with an orange glow around it. The white orb flies over to King and Queen Cyborg, and it starts glowing.
Patrio:
Looks like you've found your match!
Matrio:
Perform the Awakened Connection.
Both King and Queen Cyborg place one of their hands on the orb, and the orb awakens. The name “Technodroid” appears, and the orb turns into a male cyborg. He is white, with orange hair. He looks up and sees King and Queen Cyborg smiling at him. They're so happy! They reach down, and help the male cyborg stand up. He so tall that he towers over his parents!
Queen Cyborg:
Hello Technodroid.
King Cyborg:
We're your new parents, son. We'll do our best to take care of you.
Suddenly, a white and orange fire appears around the room and the building starts to shake! Cracks form on the roof of the room, and a fire breaks out! The two observers in the observatory start frantically pressing buttons in order to contain the situation, but nothing works. The woman in the observatory presses on the speaker.
Male Observer:
Nothing's working! We need to evacuate the building!
Female Observer:
Everybody! Get out of the Orb Chamber and exit the building!
Matria:
King and Queen Cyborg, take Technodroid and get out of here! Patrio and I will try and handle the situation.
Queen Cyborg:
Yes, ma'am!
The three of them run out of the room, and the door closes behind them. Matria puts her hands on her head. Her second and third fingers are above her eyes, and her fourth and fifth fingers are below her eyes. Her eyes glow, and she starts catching the falling debris with her mind. Patrio catches the debris, makes it melt, and uses it to cover up cracks and openings. However, the room continues to fall apart though! A huge piece of the ceiling falls down, and is about to fall on the last orb!
Matria:
No!
Matria and Patrio fly toward the orb. Matria lands on top of the orb, and uses here telekinesis to stop the ceiling debris from falling. Patrio lands next to her and catches the debris from underneath! The orb starts glowing, and Matria notices it. Patrio tosses the ceiling debris away, and sees the orb glowing.
Patrio:
Wait… It’s awakening…
Matria:
For us?
1.3. Stareye Awakens.
Matria places a hand on the orb. Patrio does the same thing, and the Awaken Connection begins. The name “Stareye” appears. The black orb is engulfed in a white light, and turns into a male. He is black, with white hair. He looks up at Matria and Patrio. They are surprised. The ceiling starts to fall on top of them. Matria and Patrio look up, and see the debris coming towards them. The newly awakened Synervian boy lifts up his arms to protect his head. A black and white light appears out of his hands, and the room starts to gets repaired. The building stops shaking, and the crisis is over. Matrio and Patrio are shocked, but alleviated. They look down at the Synervian male, and the slowly lowers his arms. He looks around, and noticed that everything is fine. He looks up at Matria and Synervia in confusion. They’re just as confused as he is.
Female Observer:
Great job, guys!
Matria:
Thanks, but we didn't do it alone.
Female Observer:
Huh? What do you mean?
Patrio:
The last orb awakened. He helped us.
Male Observer:
Seriously!? Perfect timing!
Patrio:
I’ll say.
Patrio kneels down to join Matria and the newly awakened Synervian man named Stareye.
Matria:
Thank you for your help, Stareye. It seems that we’re your parents.
She smiles at him, and extends her right hand out to him. Patrio does the same thing, and they help him to stand up.
Matria:
My name is Matria, but you can call me mom.
Stareye looks at Patrio.
Patrio:
And I’m Patrio, but call me dad.
They both smile at Stareye.
Matria:
Welcome to Synervia, Stareye.
The three cyborgs walk back into the room. Patrio, Matria, and Stareye, turn to look at them.
Patrio:
It's okay. Everything's fine now. Also, the last orb has awakened.
Matria:
This is Stareye, our new son.
Queen Cyborg:
A daughter and a son now? Congratulations!
Technodroid walks up to Stareye. He towers over Stareye. Stareye smiles, and waves, at him. Technodroid does the same. King and Queen Cyborg give Stareye and Technodroid a device.
Queen Cyborg:
These are your wrist computers, or "wrist comps." They are devices that can turn into any kind of machine that you need.
Stareye and Technodroid put their wrist computers on their wrists. A holographic screen pops up from them, showing them a menu. A voice appears out of each of their wrist computers.
Stareye's Wrist Comp.:
*Male voice* Hello. What should I call you?
Stareye: Stareye.
Stareye Wrist Comp.:
...Nice to meet you, Stareye. I am your wrist computer, or wrist comp. for short. I will be your new artificial intelligence companion.
Stareye smiles, and his eyes lighten up. Technodroid goes through the same thing on his wrist computer. He is intrigued by what he sees on the computer.
King Cyborg:
We created these a long time ago for Matria and Patrio, but they insisted that everybody should have them. They helped to build us a company to produce them.
Patrio:
As a result, King and Queen Cyborg made not just wrist computers, but every technological device on the planet.
Technodroid hears what Patrio says, and wonders what the company looks like.
Matria:
Alright everyone, it's nighttime. I think we've all had quite an adventure this afternoon, so lets get some sleep.
Matria raises her hands, and a blue light shines from them. Outside, the sky turns dark. The cyborg family, and the Observers, leave the building.
Matria:
Alright, Star, let's go see your new room.
Stareye, Matria, and Patrio, go up two floors to the bedrooms.
Matria:
Your bedroom is on the left. Ours is the farthest on the right.
Stareye notices on be bedroom in between his and theirs.
Stareye:
Who sleeps in that room?
Patrio:
Our daughter Embercore sleeps there. You’ll meet her when she comes home.
Stareye turns to his bedroom, and enters it.
Matria:
Goodnight!
Stareye:
Goodnight.
Not turning to his parents, Stareye continues to looks around, and then sits on the bed. He sees a window on the right wall, and walks up to it. He looks out and sees the stars in the night sky. A smile of wonder forms across his face. Matria and Patrio smile to themselves, and then turn and enter their room.
1.4. Dangerous Intentions.
Technodroid and his parents arrive at their home via a vehicle. The three of them leave the vehicle, and he vehicle transforms back into King Cyborg's wrist comp.
Queen Cyborg:
Welcome to your new home, Technodroid.
King Cyborg puts his hand on Technodroid's shoulder.
King Cyborg:
"Prince" Technodroid, now.
In front of them is a giant mansion.
Queen Cyborg:
This is Cyborg Mansion.
King Cyborg:
We’ll give you the tour tomorrow. We have a busy day awaiting us, so let's get some sleep.
Technodroid examines the castle. A devious smile forms on his face. The three of them enter it. At the Synervian Castle, Patrio raises his hand and an orange light shines from it. The sky brightens up. Morning arrives. He, Matria, and Stareye, are out on the front lawn of the castle. Stareye is in front of the entrance of the house, while his parents are in front of him.
Matria:
Today, we’re going to teach you how to fly.
Stareye:
Fly?
Matria:
It’s the best mode of transportation.
Patrio:
Walking, and the vehicle, are other modes of travel, but flying is faster. It’ll come in handy if you’re ever in a hurry. Trust me, it helps.
Matria:
Now, repeat after me: Think about the sky as your destination.
Matria closes her eyes. She starts to float off of the ground. Stareye’s eyes widen.
Matria:
Soon your body will feel light, and you will begin to levitate. You could also look up at the sky. That always gives you a little boost.
Matria rises about 15 feet from the ground.
Matria:
Now it’s your turn. Give it a try, son.
Stareye closes his eyes like Matria did. However, his body doesn’t begin to levitate. He opens his eyes, and sees that he is still on the ground.
Stareye:
Nothing’s happening.
Matria:
Try it again. Remember to look up in the sky for help.
Stareye looks up at Matria. Then... He shoots up into the air! He flies past Matria, and starts flipping uncontrollably in the air.
Stareye:
Mom! I can’t stop!
Patrio tracks Stareye, and runs towards the house. He stretches out his arms into the air. Matria’s eyes light up, and a blue light surrounds Stareye. He stops moving, but he’s still in the air. Matria lowers Stareye into Patrio’s arms, and Patrio puts Stareye into the ground. Stareye kneels onto the ground, and starts gasping for air. Patrio runs Stareye’s back.
Patrio:
Breathe, son. Breathe.
Stareye:
*Gasps*... Thanks.... *Gasps*... Sorry…
Matria:
Don’t worry about it. After you catch your breath, we’ll try again.
Stareye:
No! ...Um, I mean, I will try later. I think I’ll go lie down for a bit.
Matria relents, and smiles at him.
Matria:
Okay, kiddo. Go lie down.
Stareye walks defeatedly into the castle.
Meanwhile, Technodroid masters his flight and transformation training. The cyborg family are in a field.
King Cyborg:
Alright, son. Fly!
Technodroid leaps into the air, and flies around.
King Cyborg:
...And return!
Technodroid lands back onto the ground, in front of his parents.
Queen Cyborg:
Now transform!
Technodroid transforms into his animal form.
King Cyborg:
And... Return!
Technodroid transforms back into his human form. King and Queen Cyborg are amazed! They clap for him.
Queen Cyborg:
That was fantastic, son! You've progressed quickly.
Technodroid:
I guess I’m a quick learner. Although, it does help that I have two amazing parents to teach me.
Technodroid forms a smile.
Queen Cyborg kisses Technodroid on the cheek.
King Cyborg:
I think that's enough for today. I’m ready for breakfast.
Technodroid:
Oh! Before that, can you show me the company that you mentioned yesterday?
King Cyborg:
Sure. It won’t take that long, actually.
The three of them fly back to Cyborg Mansion. Once inside, they head towards the back of the living room. An elevator is present. They enter it, and the elevator takes them down to a factory. Technodroid's eyes light up.
Queen Cyborg:
Welcome to Cyborg Industries.
The three of them walk down and head over towards a station. Wrist computers are being made. Technodroid runs towards another station where schematics for vehicles are being made. A smile forms across his face.
Queen Cyborg looks at Technodroid, and smiles. Being a telepath, she tries to read his mind to hear his thoughts. However, she can’t read his mind at all. She turns to King Cyborg, and tries to read his mind. She sees his thoughts without any problem. He is happy that Technodroid is enjoying the tour of the facility. Queen Cyborg tries to read Technodroid’s mind one more time. Once again, she doesn’t see anything. She becomes troubled.
Queen Cyborg:
Hey guys. I think we should get ready for breakfast.
King Cyborg:
Agreed. Let’s eat!
The three of them head back to the elevator, and go back up to the living room. Technodroid heads over to the dining table in the kitchen. Queen Cyborg stops walking, and telepathically communicates to King Cyborg.
Queen Cyborg (Telepathically):
Honey, I have to talk to you for a second.
King Cyborg stops walking, and turns to look at Queen Cyborg.
1.5. Trouble in Paradise.
Back at Synervia Castle, Matria sits on a couch in the living room. Patria joins her.
Matria:
Welp, I didn’t expect to traumatize our son this morning.
Patrio:
And you've only had him for about a day!
Matria playfully slaps Patrio on the shoulder. Patrio laughs.
Patrio:
-Remember when we had to teach Ember how to fly?
Matria:
Yeah, and we had to clean up the house for two days afterwards.
Patrio:
That's a lie... It was three days.
Both of them laugh. Upstairs in his room, Stareye lies on his bed looking up at the ceiling.
Stareye (In his head):
Mom said to look up in the sky, and think of it as your destination. I did that, didn't I? ...Maybe, I should try to aim for a certain spot in the air. If I hit that spot, then I could stop myself faster and not crash!
Stareye gets off of his bed, and stands in the middle on his room. He continues to look up at the ceiling.
Stareye (In his head):
Maybe if I aim for the ceiling?
Stareye focuses intently on the ceiling. Soon, he begins to levitate. He looks down, and sees himself hovering off of the floor. Then he falls down on his belly.
Stareye (In his head):
Well, I did look at the floor...
Matria:
Stareye, are you okay up there?
Stareye:
I'm fine.
Stareye (In his head):
Now, focus on the sky, Star!
Stareye gets up from the floor, and looks back up at the ceiling. He glares at the ceiling, and he starts levitating again. He gets closer to the ceiling, and stops himself from moving by touching it with his hands. Stareye starts to laugh out of excitement for his achievement. He looks down at the floor, and he starts falling down! He puts his arms out in front of him, and he stops. He pushes himself backwards until he eventually lands on his feet. A large smile forms across his face.
Stareye runs downstairs.
Stareye:
Mom! Dad!
Matria and Patrio turn around, and see Stareye on the staircase.
Stareye:
I want to try again.
Matrio:
Great!
Patrio turns to Matria.
Patrio:
Try not to kill him this time, honey.
Matria slaps Patrio in the shoulder again. Patrio smiles.
Matria smiles.
Let’s go, kiddo.
The three of them go outside, and are in the same positions as last time.
Matria:
Remember: Think about the sky as your destination. If need be, look up to the sky for help.
Matria rises to 15 feet in the air again. Stareye concentrates on her. He begins to float off of the ground, and flies up to her!
Stareye:
I did it!
Matria:
I knew you could! Now, let’s have some fun.
Patrio flies up towards them. Matria flies off towards the city. Stareye follows suite, with Patrio following behind. They fly above the buildings, looking down to see people, both in human and animal forms, going about their daily lives. They land on the roof of a tall building, sit down, and enjoy the view.
Patrio:
Next, we have to teach you how to transform into your animal form.
Stareye:
Right now?
Matria:
Well, we can stay here for a little while longer.
Matria and Patrio receive a call on their wrist comps. It’s the Observers.
Female Observer:
Matria! Patrio! We got a call from Cyborg Mansion! Something is wrong!
The three of them fly over, and enter the mansion. The Observers are waiting for them. They’re standing outside the entrance into the kitchen. They’re both shocked.
Matria:
What happened?
The Male Observer points towards the kitchen. Matria and Patrio look inside, and they see Technodroid’s body lying on the ground. His body has been ripped apart! Matria turns to Stareye.
Matria:
Stareye, go back to the front door.
Stareye:
But-
Matria:
Go!
Stareye walks away. Matria and Patrio look around for King and Queen Cyborg.
Matria:
Where are they? Where are their orbs?
Patrio:
I don’t know…
Matria:
If we can’t find them, then we can’t bring them back to life!
Matria looks at Patrio. He’s in shock.
Matria:
Patrio?
Patrio:
…Spread out and look for them. They have to be somewhere.
The four of them look around. Stareye sneaks up to the kitchen, and sees Technodroid’s body. He’s scared, but he walks up to him. He cautiously touches the body, and his eyes turn white. He can see inside Technodroid’s body… and how he can repair him! Stareye’s hand glows white, and a black and white fire surrounds Technodroid’s body. The body begins to repair itself. Stareye grabs Technodroid’s limbs, and they reattach to his body. Technodroid’s body stops repairing itself. Stareye stands still, waiting for something to happen… Suddenly, Technodroid’s eyes light up! Stareye smiles.
Stareye:
Mom! Guys! He’s alive!
Everybody runs back into the room. They see Technodroid alive again.
Matria:
Star, did you-
Stareye:
I… I healed him!
Technodroid:
Where… Where’s mom and dad?
Patrio:
Just rest for now. We’re taking you to your room.
Patrio picks him up, and they all head to Technodroid’s room.
Matria:
Do you remember anything that happened?
Technodroid:
…I don’t remember anything…
Matria:
Let me try and help.
Matria tries to read Technodroid’s mind.
Matria:
I don’t see anything…
Patrio:
Son, we think you and your parents were attacked by someone. Your parents are… deceased. We can’t find their orbs, so we can’t bring them back to life. I’m so sorry.
Technodroid shakes his head.
Technodroid:
…No…. NO! Who did this!?
Stareye:
We’ll find whoever did this, Tech. I promise.
Matria looks at Stareye concerned.
Patrio:
Observers, can you watch over Technodroid for the night?
Male Observer:
Yes sir.
Matria, Patrio, and Stareye leave Castle Cyborg.
Matria:
I know you want to help, Star, but this is too dangerous for you.
Stareye:
But-
Matria:
There’s a killer roaming around. Patrio and I will find them. There’s no way we’re letting you get caught up in this.
She places her hand on Stareye’s shoulder.
Matria:
You helped to put Technodroid back together. Now, you have to leave the rest up to us. Okay?
Stareye:
…Okay.
Matria:
Good. Now, let’s go home.
The three of them head back to Synervian Castle. In his room, Stareye thinks to himself while sitting on his bed.
Stareye (In his head):
Whoever did this to Technodroid and his family are not going to get away!
Stareye remembers what Matria told him as well, and takes a heavy sigh.
Stareye (In his head):
Mom told me not to get involved though.
Stareye ponders for a minute. Then and idea pops into his head!
Stareye (In his head):
Can I help them without getting caught?
He presses a button on his wrist comp., and a holographic screen appears. A pencil comes out of it. Stareye grabs the pencil, and begins to design a suit.
Stareye:
I need to make something that can protect my identity, but also protect my body. I'll also need a mask! No! Make it a helmet.
Stareye finishes designing his suit.
Stareye:
This looks pretty cool!
Wrist Comp.:
If you want to see how the suit looks on you Stareye, just tap on the drawing.
Stareye touches it, and his clothes transform into the suit that he drew. The screen turns into a mirror. Stareye gets a good look at his outfit. The suit is black.
Stareye:
This is fantastic! Now, I can go out-
Matria:
No, you won't.
Stareye jumps and turns to the entrance to his room. He sees Matria and Patrio staring at him.
Stareye:
This isn’t what it looks like!
Matria:
It’s a suit designed to help you do what I told you NOT to do.
Stareye:
…How do you-
Matria:
I read your mind. I’ve been reading it ever since we left Castle Cyborg. Something told me to keep an eye on you, and it looks like I was right.
Stareye:
...I'm sorry, but I want to help-
Matria makes a sigh.
Matria:
I know.
Patrio:
Which is why your mother and I have come up with a plan. Your suit will also come in handy. We’ll need you to make more of them.
Stareye smiles.
Stareye:
No problem!
1.6. Stareye’s Dream:
Night arrives. Stareye lies asleep in his bed. He is dreaming. In his dream, He is on a bridge. He looks into the water below. The silhouette of a figure appears in the water. It looks like a woman. The two of them stare at each other. The woman starts to reach the surface, and then…
Stareye wakes up! He sits up in his bed, trying to understand his dream.
Stareye:
…What’s was that?
Stareye sighs and puts his hand on his forehead. He lies back down on his bed, hoping to go back to sleep. Then, an alarm goes off. It’s on his wrist comp. A screen is projecting from it, showing a timer. He taps on the screen, hitting the “stop” button.
Stareye:
This is going to be a looong day…
1.7. Embercore:
Morning arrives. At Cyborg Mansion, Technodroid announced to the entire planet what had happened to King and Queen Cyborg.
Technodroid:
Good morning. I have to announce some terrible news: My parents, King and Queen Cyborg, have died… Currently, Matria, Patrio, and Stareye, are working hard to find out what happened to them. If it wasn’t for them, especially Stareye, I wouldn’t be here right now in front of all of you. I will use this second chance at life to serve all of you as best as I can, just like my parents did…
Technodroid pauses, and takes a deep breath.
Technodroid:
Thank you.
After the broadcast goes off, we head to a woman sitting on a plane. Her name is Embercore. She’s red-skinned, with yellow hair. She watched Technodroid’s message on her wrist comp. She turns her screen off.
Embercore:
Mom and dad were right. People are dying. I didn't think that was possible.
Another woman sitting next to her was watching Technodroid’s speech too on her own wrist comp. Her name is Wrathenus, Embercore’s best friend. She’s purple, with green hair.
Wrathenus:
I'm sorry. Maybe if you weren't at my place-
Embercore:
Hey! It's not your fault.
Wrathenus:
Still, I'm glad you brought me along.
Embercore:
After what happened last night, I figured you would be happy to leave the house for a bit.
Embercore rubs her forehead. Wrathenus notices.
Wrathenus:
Are you alright?
Embercore:
…I had a weird dream last night, and I didn’t get much sleep. I think… Never mind.
Wrathenus:
You think it’s a sign of-
Embercore:
Maybe…
The plane lands. Patrio, and another man named Slickshot, are waiting for Embercore and Wrathenus to arrive. Slickshot is green, with red hair. He is eager to see Embercore again. As soon as she sees him, Embercore runs up to Patrio and hugs him. All of them get into Patrio’s car, and they head to Synervian Castle.
Patrio:
I’m so glad you you and Wrathenus can join us. We need all the help that we can to get. Matria and Stareye are waiting for us in the Combat Room.
Embercore:
Oh yeah! I finally get to meet Matria’s son. I wonder what he’s like.
Patrio:
I think you’ll like him.
Embercore turns to Slickshot.
Embercore:
Thank you for joining us, Slick.
Slickshot:
No problem. Besides, I could take a break from being at home.
Embercore:
Is everything alright?
Slickshot shrugged his shoulders.
Slickshot:
Everything was fine until yesterday... You know what? It's nothing.
Embercore:
Are you sure?
Slickshot:
Yeah, yeah.
Embercore looks concerned, but she doesn't press on the issue any longer. Wrathenus heard the conversation as well, but she remains silent. The group arrives at Synervian Castle. Once inside, they head down to the Combat Room, which used to be the Orb Chamber. Inside, Stareye and Matria are waiting inside. Matria sees Stareye looking a bit tired.
Matria:
Didn’t get enough sleep?
Stareye:
…I had a weird dream last night…
Matria:
Oh?
Patria, Embercore, Slickshot, and Wrathenus, enter the room.
Patrio:
Morning, you two!
Matria and Stareye turn to see the group. Immediately, Stareye and Embercore lock eyes with each other. Embercore stands above Stareye. Stareye’s eyes pop out of his head.
Stareye (In his head):
Woah! She’s tall... And she looks familiar...
Embercore (In her head):
He looks... Just like-
Embercore smiles. Wrathenus locks eyes onto Stareye too. She is also a little taller than Stareye, but not as much as Embercore.
Wrathenus (In her head):
*In a sultry voice* Hello theeere…
A devious smile forms on her face.
Patrio:
Stareye, meet Embercore. Our daughter.
Matria:
And your sister.
Stareye extends his hand out to Embercore.
Stareye:
Nice to meet you.
Embercore smiles.
Embercore:
Likewise.
They shake hands. Suddenly, a feeling of intensity fills their bodies. Their both engulfed in a black and red light, and then their bodies jolt back, releasing their handshake! Both of them are stunned.
Stareye:
What was that!? I feel weird!
Embercore:
…No… way… It happened! It finally happened!
Embercore turns to Patrio. Patrio has a smile on his face. Matria is shocked. Interestingly, Slickshot and Wrathenus have looks of disappointment on their faces.
Patrio:
Correction! Stareye, meet Embercore. Your soulmate. Ember, meet Stareye. Your spiritmate.
Stareye turns to Matria.
Stareye:
"Mates?"
Matria:
We'll talk about that later. Our other two guests are Wrathenus, and Slickshot.
Stareye regains his composure, and waves at the two of them.
Stareye:
Hello!
Wrathenus and Slickshot wave back at him, forcing a smile upon their faces.
1.8. The Synervian Seven:
Matria and Patrio walk up to the front of the group to face them.
Matria:
Now that we’ve all become acquainted, let’s talk about why you’re here. First off, I need to thank all of you for coming today. As you all know, Technodroid’s parent’s were murdered two days ago. The problems in this universe have reached a new level that Patrio and I didn’t think was possible. We’ve decided that we need a special team designed to tackle these extreme problems. We are calling this Operation Synervian Six. We will use all of your talents to help make Synervia safe.
Technodroid:
I want to help too!
Everyone turns to the entrance of the room. Technodroid has arrived, with two cyborg guards alongside him. The guards have their faces covered, and one is larger than the other.
Patrio:
King Technodroid? Aren’t you suppose to be home right now?
Technodroid:
Please! Let me join! I can find the one responsible for killing my parents. Your and Matria’s teachings can help me to become a better king for my people. Plus, I'll make sure that Cyborg Industries creates any piece of technology that can help you.
Feeling compassionate for Technodroid, Stareye turns to Matria and Patrio.
Stareye:
I think he should join us.
Patria and Matria look at each other, and they smile.
Patrio:
Alright son, welcome to the group.
Technodroid smiles at Stareye, and runs up to join him and the others. Technodroid leans down to Stareye to whisper to him.
Technodroid:
Thanks!
Stareye:
No problem!
Matria:
Now, we are the Synervian Seven. Your training begins now.
Embercore turns to Stareye.
Embercore:
Let’s do our best, partner.
She winks at him. Stareye’s face turns red.
Stareye:
Yeah... Same.
Embercore smiles at him.
1.9. Stareye and Embercore Spar.
Matria:
We’re going to train you for physical, and super powered, combat. I’ll handle the super power combat, while Patrio will handle the physical training.
Patrio straightens up, claps his hands, and walks up to Matria.
Patria:
Along with protecting the general public, you will learn how to protect yourself. Star, Ember, will you step forward please?
Stareye and Embercore walk up to the front of the group.
Patrio:
I’m going to use you two as a demonstration. But first, you’ll need your combat suits. I’ll let Star explain them to you.
Stareye taps on his wrist comp., and a projection of his suit pops up.
Stareye:
Two days ago, I created a suit that would help protect us in combat. You can modify it to meet your needs, such as size adjustments, armor, whatever you want.
The holographic suit materializes into seven suits. They’re all black. Everyone grabs one, and puts them on.
Patrio:
Now Star and Ember, during the demonstration, I’m going to tell each of you want to do in a situation. Alright?
Stareye and Embercore:
Yes sir.
Stareye and Embercore raise their fists, and get into a defensive stance.
Stareye:
Don’t hurt me, alright?
Embercore:
I wouldn’t dream of such a thing.
Patrio:
Ember, swing your fist at Star.
Embercore swings her fist at Stareye.
Patrio:
Star, catch Ember’s-
Embercore’s fist hits Stareye in the face! Embercore covers her mouth out of shock. Everyone gasps.
Embercore:
I’m so sorry!
Stareye rubs his head.
Stareye:
You lied.
Embercore:
Are you okay?
Stareye:
I’m fine. My brains are a bit scrambled, but I’m alright.
Stareye laughs a bit. Embercore is relieved.
Patrio:
Let’s try that again. Ember, swing your fist at Star. Star, catch Ember’s fist.
Embercore throws another fist at Stareye, but Stareye catches it.
Patrio:
Good! Now Star, try to kick Ember in her stomach. Ember, try to block Star’s kick with your arms.
Stareye kicks Embercore in her stomach. Embercore blocks Stareye’s kick with her arms, but the force of Stareye’s kick sends her to the opposite side of the room! She hits the wall. Stareye’s eyes bulges out of his skull. Everyone else is just as shocked. Embercore detaches herself from the wall, and walks up to Stareye.
Embercore:
Was that-
Embercore stumbles a bit, but regains her posture.
Embercore:
…Payback for punching you?
Stareye:
I’m sorry! I didn’t think I kicked you that hard!
Patrio rubs his forehead.
Patrio:
This is going well… Okay… Try that again, but with less force.
Embercore throws a fist at Stareye. Stareye catches it, and tries to kick Embercore. Embercore blocks the kick with her arms.
Patrio:
Ember, grab Stareye’s foot and swing him into the ground.
Embercore grabs Stareye’s foot, and throws him onto the ground. Stareye gets up.
Patrio:
Nice! The goal is to block the attack of your opponent, leaving them open to your attack. Now Star, throw a fist at Ember. Ember, catch Star’s fist and then grab a hold of his arm.
Stareye swings a fist at Embercore. Embercore catches his fist, and wraps her arm over his.
Patrio:
Ember, swing your second fist at Star. Star, catch her fist and secure her arm like she did to yours.
Ember swings her fist at Star. Star catches it, and locks her arm under his. Embercore looks into Stareye’s eyes, and his pupils become slender.
Embercore (Telepathically):
You didn’t imprint yet?
Stareye (Telepathically):
Imprint? Wait, how are you-
Embercore (Telepathically):
I can see it in your eyes. Also, mates can read each others' minds.
Stareye (Telepathically):
Like mom? Cool!
Stareye notices that Embercore has a devious smile on her face.
Stareye (Telepathically):
You're enjoying this.
Embercore (Telepathically):
And so are you.
Stareye forms a smile on his face. Suddenly, they start throwing fists at each other! Everyone stares in amazement.
Patrio:
Star? Ember? Hello?
Matria reads Stareye’s and Embercore’s minds. She sees what Embercore is trying to do.
Matria (Telepathically):
Stop!
Stareye and Embercore snap out of their match. They look at the group in bewilderment, as if they forgot everybody else existed. Matria turns to Patrio.
Matria:
Maybe, we should have two new volunteers.
Patrio nods his head.
Patrio:
Slickshot and Wrathenus, you two are up.
Slickshot and Wrathenus walk up to the front of the room. Stareye and Embercore walk back to the group.
Stareye:
Sorry about that.
Embercore:
Don’t be. I had fun.
Embercore smiles at Stareye. Stareye’s face turns red, but he smiles knowing that Embercore was happy. Technodroid watches, and smiles. An hour later, the session ends.
Patrio:
Alright guys. That’s enough for today. Tomorrow, we’ll start with the superpower lesson.
Everyone starts to leave the room.
Matria:
Hey Stareye, can you wait for me outside the room for a second. I want to talk to Embercore for a second.
Stareye:
Alright.
Stareye walks out of the room. Embercore walks up to Matria, and Patrio.
Matria:
I know what you were trying to do.
Embercore:
...I'm sorry. I... I couldn't really stop myself.
Embercore blushes, and grabs her arm.
Embercore:
…Stareye and I had the Spirit-Soul Connection... I finally found my mate.
Matria closes her eyes, and sighs.
Matria:
...Congratulations, honey. Just... Take it easy on Star. He just awakened two days ago, and Patrio and I have to imprint on him first.
Patrio smiles. Outside the Combat Room, Stareye, Slickshot, Wrathenus, and Technodroid with his guards, are waiting. Stareye stares at the door, wondering what's going on inside the room. Slickshot and Wrathenus are farther behind him. Wrathenus whispers to Slickshot.
Wrathenus:
Earlier today, you said that things weren't going well at home.
Slickshot:
...It's nothing.
Wrathenus:
...I'm not happy at home either.
Slickshot:
...Oh?
Wrathenus:
Yesterday, my mom and I got into a huge argument. Dad and Embercore had to separate us... It's the reason why I'm here.
Slickshot:
...It's so weird. Yesterday, Technodroid lost his parents. Now, people are trying to rip each other's throats out.
Slickshot looks at Stareye.
Slickshot:
And today, I lost my chance with Embercore thanks to him.
Wrathenus looks at Stareye.
Wrathenus:
I'm sorry, Slick. If it makes you feel any better, I was hoping that Stareye would be my...
Slickshot looks back at Wrathenus with a shocked look on his face. Then he looks back at Stareye.
Slickshot:
You know what? Maybe we should start over with him.
Wrathenus:
...Yeah, you're right.
Technodroid, standing in the background with his guards, overheard their conversation. Slickshot and Wrathenus approach Stareye. They put on a smile.
Slickshot:
You and Ember put on quite the show today.
Stareye’s face turns red.
Stareye:
I-I don’t know what happened. I’ve never acted like that before…
Wrathenus:
It’s the Spirit-Soul Connection. It means that you two are destined to be together as mates, or a couple.
Stareye:
"Mates?" "Couple?"
Stareye rubs his head.
Stareye:
...This has been a crazy couple of days. I just learned how to fly without crashing and burning, I found my mate, and Technodroid... Um...
Technodroid senses that Slickshot and Wrathenus are not happy. He walks up to Stareye, and wraps his arm around him.
Technodroid:
Don't worry about it, man. We'll find the culprit. Just don't get distracted by Embercore.
Technodroid pokes his elbow into Stareye's arm. Stareye blushes.
Stareye:
Woah! Hey! I-I’m not-
Technodroid laughs.
Technodroid:
I’m just messing with you. The suit you created was a nice idea. I'll see what I can whip up back at Cyborg Industries. See you tomorrow, Star!
Technodroid walks back to his two guards, and all three of then begin to leave.
Stareye:
Thanks! be careful.
Technodroid and his guards leave. Slickshot and Wrathenus leave as well.
Slickshot:
See you tomorrow, Star.
Stareye:
Bye.
Slickshot and Wrathenus leave dejected, but try to make sure that Stareye doesn't see. Matria, Patrio, and Embercore, exit the Combat Room. Embercore notices that Wrathenus, and Slickshot, are gone.
Embercore:
Wrathenus and Slickshot left?
Stareye:
Yeah. They left right before you guys came out.
Embercore ponders over that for a bit. Then she walks up to Stareye with a smile on her face.
Embercore:
I know that what has happened over the last two days has been a lot for you, but I just want to tell you that I'm so glad that I met you.
Stareye smiles.
Stareye:
Thank you. I must admit that I had fun today.
Embercore forms a sultry smile on her face.
Embercore:
Was it because we got to spar with each other?
Stareye freezes.
Stareye:
Uh... I mean-
Embercore giggles.
Embercore:
Don't worry. We'll spar again soon... among other things.
Stareye:
Like what?
Embercore:
Oh, you'll find out eventually.
Matria and Patrio are watching in the background. Matria turns to Patrio, and notices that Patrio has something on his mind. She leans on him.
Matria:
Are you alright?
Patrio hugs her.
Patrio:
I’m just… thinking about King and Queen Cyborg.
Matria:
We’ll find their orbs, and bring them back. We just have to keep looking.
Patrio:
Right.
The two of them walk up to Embercore, and Stareye.
Matria:
Alright, Star. As soon as we get home, we need to work on your imprinting.
Stareye:
What is that?
Matria:
Imprinting is when a new Synervian learns to transform into their animal form. Without imprinting, the animal form can overtake you mentally and it’s very hard to suppress it. Patrio and I had a very hard time trying to work that out back in the day. It’s part of the reason why you and Ember had such an intense interaction today.
Stareye:
In that case, let's get that done as fast as possible.
Matria laughs out loud a bit.
Back on Cyborg Mansion, Technodroid is in his room pondering to himself.
Technodroid (In his head):
My plan worked. My mind shield prevented matria from reading my mind, and prevented everybody from recognizing my two guards. However, Matria’s and Patrio’s group could expose what I've done.
Technodroid remembers Slickshot and Wrathenus.
Technodroid (In his head):
Hmm. Slickshot wants Embercore, but Ember wants Stareye. Wrathenus also wants Star. I can feel the animosity within Slickshot, and Wrathenus. Maybe I can use that to my advantage, and dismantle the Synervian Seven?
Technodroid remembers the suit that Stareye made.
Technodroid (In his head):
I should also do this under a disguise.
He taps on his wrist comp., and begins to design a suit.
