This story, and the characters in it, belong to me.
1.1. Creation of the Synervian Universe.
A glowing, humanoid being appears in a dark void. It stretches out its arms, and the Synervian universe is created. Time doesn't exist, and anything is possible. Then the being curls up into a ball, and disintegrates into multiple orbs of light. The orbs disperse, and populate Synervia.
A woman opens her eyes. Her name is Embercore. She is yellow, with red hair. Her right eye is yellow, while her left eye is red. She is in the Synervia Castle. Her eyes glow red, and a holographic book appears in front of her. A new page appears that is anterior to the rest of what is already written. Words begin to appear on the page describing what she just saw: the creation of the Synervian universe. Afterwards, Embercore's eyes glow green. She's receiving a telepathic message from her friend, Wrathenus.
Wrathenus (Telepathically):
I'm here.
Embercore (Telepathically):
Alright. I'm coming.
1.2. Technodroid Awakens.
Embercore walk down towards a new room, the Orb Chamber, and enters it. Inside, the room is circular in form. Wrathenus is standing in the center of the room. She's purple, and her hair is blue on the right and green on the left. Her right eye is blue, and her left eye is green. Embercore walks up to Wrathenus, and hugs her.
Embercore:
Are you two ready?
Wrathenus:
Yes. I've been waiting for this for a while.
The two of them walk to the end of the room where two orbs are present. The orb on the right is black with a white glow around it, while the left orb is white with an orange glow around it. The white orb moves towards Wrathenus, and it starts glowing.
Embercore:
Looks like you've found your match!
Wrathenus:
Finally!
Wrathenus perform the Awakening process. She puts her hands on the orb, and the orb awakens. The name “Technodroid” appears, and the orb turns into a male cyborg. He is white, with orange hair. They reach down and help Technodroid to stand up. When Wrathenus touches him, a strong sensation comes over them! Wrathenus begins to fall down, but Embercore puts one of her arms on the back of Wrathenus to support her. Both Wrathenus and Technodroid are blushing.
Wrathenus:
Wow!
Embercore:
Hold on.
Embercore's eyes turn red, and she puts one hand on her head. Wrathenus's and Technodroid's bodies are covered in a red glow, and they are telekinetically lifted up from the floor. Embercore's eyes stop glowing red. Technodroid is the same size as Embercore.
Embercore:
You two just experienced the Spirit-Soul Connection. He's the one.
Wrathenus looks up at Technodroid with a huge smile on her face.
Wrathenus:
Hello Technodroid. I'm Wrathenus. I'm your Soul-Mate.
Technodroid extends his right arm out to reach Wrathenus. His left hand touches the floor. Suddenly, his eyes glow orange. An orange fire comes out of Technodroid's left hand. His eyes return to normal, but the fire spreads across the entire room. The walls catch fire, and the building starts to shake!
Wrathenus:
What happened!?
Embercore:
Get Technodroid out of here!
Wrathenus takes Technodroid out of the room, and the door closes behind them. Embercore's eyes turn red, and she puts her hands on her head. Her second and third fingers are above her eyes, and her fourth and fifth fingers are below her eyes. The falling debris are covered in a red glow. She is catching it with her mind. She lifts the debris back up, and extends her hands. A red fire melts the debris back into place. The room continues to fall apart! Embercore forms a red psychic shield around her. A huge piece of the ceiling falls down, and is about to fall on the last orb!
Embercore:
No!
She extends her hand, and the debris stops right above the orb. Embercore telekinetically moves the debris to the other side of the room. Embercore flies back down to the ground, right next to the orb. She checks to orb to see if it's alright. The orb rushes over to her, and starts to glow.
Embercore:
You're awakening…
1.3. Stareye Awakens.
Embercore places her hand on the orb, and the Awakening begins. The name “Stareye” appears. The black orb is engulfed in a white light, and turns into a male. He is black, with white hair. He looks up at Embercore. Above her, the entire ceiling starts to fall! Stareye lifts up his arms, and a white light forms in each of his hands. The light engulfs the entire room, and the whole room is repaired! The crisis is over. Embercore is shocked, but alleviated. She looks back down at Stareye. She smiles at him.
Embercore:
Thanks for the help, Stareye. I'm Embercore.
She extends her hand out to him to help him to stand up. As soon as Stareye grabs her hand, the Spirit-Soul Connection happens between them! Both Embercore and Stareye are blushing.
Stareye:
What was that!? I feel... weird!
Embercore:
…No… way… It happened... It finally happened!
Stareye:
Embercore?
Embercore looks at Stareye. She regains her composure.
Embercore:
We... *Clears throat* We just had the Spirit-Soul Connection...
Wrathenus and Technodroid walk back into the room. They're surprised that the room is back to normal.
Wrathenus:
What happened!?
Embercore:
It's okay. Everything's fine now.
Wrathenus notices Stareye, and sees that the last orb is missing.
Wrathenus:
Is that...
Embercore:
The last orb awakened. This is Stareye. He's my Spirit-Mate.
A large smile grows on Wrathenus' face. She and Embercore hug each other.
Wrathenus:
Congratulations!
Embercore:
Thank you!
Technodroid walks up to Stareye.
Embercore:
Stareye, this is Wrathenus and her mate Technodroid.
Wrathenus:
Nice to meet you, Stareye.
Wrathenus smiles at Stareye, and hugs him. Stareye turns to Technodroid. Technodroid towers over Stareye as well. Stareye extends his hand out to him. Technodroid shakes Stareye's hand, and a white and orange electricity forms around their hands. It shocks both of them! Embercore and Wrathenus are shocked.
Embercore:
Are you two alright?
Stareye and Technodroid shake their hands to alleviate the pain.
Technodroid:
I think so.
Stareye:
That was quite the handshake!
Technodroid:
I'll say!
1.4. Synervia's Backstory.
The four individuals make their way to the living room of the castle. They crowd around Embercore, who is standing in the middle of the group. Her eyes glow red, and a large holographic book appears in front of the group.
Embercore:
Every Synervian is taught about the history of our universe after they awakened. However, you three are the first to learn about some new information that has been revealed to me.
Wrathenus:
Oh? What is it?
Embercore:
I had a dream right before Technodroid, and Stareye, awakened. Thankfully, I wrote it down. This is the book called The History of Synervia. I've been trying to document everything that has ever happened on Synervia in this book. The first page details my dream.
Embercore remembers her dream.
Embercore:
I saw a being. It was half male, and half female. It created the Synervian universe. Then, it transformed into multiple orbs. The orbs inhabited Synervia.
Embercore's dream ends. Stareye leans in. His eyes are light up.
Wrathenus:
Was that the creation of the universe!?
Embercore:
I think so! We also know who our creator is!
Stareye:
If our orbs are part of the Creator, then does that mean we are all a part of the Creator?
Embercore nods her head, and smiles at Stareye.
Embercore:
Yes! In fact, this leads right into the next part of the story.
Technodroid looks at his hand, and ponders to himself. The first page of the book turns.
Embercore:
The first orb awakened... Well, I awakened. I awakened in this very spot, where the Synervian Castle would later be built. This is why everyone awakens here. In fact, Wrathenus awakened before you two did. When other people did awaken, we all helped to make Synervia our home. We learned about our powers, and how to create vehicles and buildings.
The book closes. Embercore turns to Stareye.
Embercore:
There's a LOT in here, but those are stories for later.
Stareye smiles, thinking about the other stories in the book.
1.5. Learning to Fly.
The group then heads outside. Stareye and Technodroid are in front of the entrance of the castle, while Embercore and Wrathenus are in front of them.
Embercore:
Alright, guys. Now, you're going to learn how to fly.
Stareye:
Fly?
Embercore:
It’s one of the three modes of transportation, aside from using a transporter or teleportation.
Wrathenus:
Teleportation can be messy if you do it wrong.
Wrathenus closes her eyes, and puts an arm around her head. A nervous smile forms on her face.
Wrathenus:
I know from experience...
Embercore has the same expression on her face. She pats Wrathenus on the back.
Embercore:
You got better at it though.
Embercore faces Stareye, and Technodroid.
Embercore:
Now, repeat after me: Look up, and think about the sky as your destination.
Embercore looks up at the sky, and she starts to float off of the ground. Both Stareye’s and Technodroid's eyes widen! Embercore rises about 30 feet from the ground. Queen Cyborg flies into the air and joins Embercore.
Wrathenus:
Now it’s your turn, guys!
Both Stareye and Technodroid look up into the sky, and think about flying. Technodroid begins to levitate, and joins the group up in the air. Everyone turns back to Stareye. He is still on the ground.
Stareye:
Nothing’s happening.
Embercore:
Try focusing on me.
Stareye looks up at Embercore. Then... He shoots up into the air! He flies past the group, and starts flipping uncontrollably in the air!
Stareye:
I can’t stop!
Embercore tracks Stareye, and flies towards the castle. She stretches out his arms into the air, and catches Stareye! She lands on the ground, and lowers Stareye. Stareye falls to his knees, petrified. Embercore pats Stareye on the back.
Stareye:
T-T-Thanks.... Sorry…
Embercore:
You're fine, you're fine.
Wrathenus and Technodroid land on the ground.
Embercore:
We'll try again.
Stareye:
No... Um, I mean, I will try again later. I think I’ll go lie down for a bit.
Embercore relents, and smiles at him.
Embercore:
Okay, but we will try again later.
Stareye walks defeatedly into the castle. Embercore turn to Wrathenus and Technodroid.
Embercore:
I think you two should finish Technodroid's training at home. I'll probably have to go slower with Star.
Wrathenus:
That's fine. Just try not to traumatize him.
Wrathenus laughs.
Embercore:
What is that suppose to mean?
Wrathenus:
Oh, nothing.
Wrathenus and Embercore give each other a peck on the cheek.
Wrathenus:
Take care.
Embercore's eyes turn red, and so do Wrathenus'.
Embercore (Telepathically):
Keep a close eyes on Technodroid's powers.
Wrathenus (Telepathically):
I will.
Both of their eyes return to normal. Wrathenus, and Technodroid, fly away. Embercore ponders over what Wrathenus said, and how Stareye felt disappointed about failing to learn how to fly.
Embercore:
Hm. Maybe she has a point...
Stareye heard the conversation. He looks up at the ceiling, and thinks about flying. He doesn't move. He stares intently at the ceiling.
Stareye (In his head):
Come on... Move!
Stareye shoots off of the ground, and hits the ceiling! Embercore hears the thump, and heads inside. She looks up and sees Stareye stuck to the ceiling.
Embercore:
Star, are you okay?
Stareye removes his head from the ceiling.
Stareye:
I'm fine... I can do this!
Embercore relaxes a bit, letting Stareye try to take control of the situation. She waits for his next move. Stareye shoves his body off of the ceiling. He continues to look at the ceiling, which prevents him from falling to the floor. He carefully looks down, and begins to descend. He pushes his body down a bit, and he descends faster until he lands on his feet. A large smile forms across his face.
Stareye:
I did it... I did it!
Embercore:
I knew you could! Now, let’s have some fun.
The two of them head outside. Embercore flies into the air. She stops, and waits for Stareye. Stareye follows suite. They fly towards the buildings. They soar above the buildings, looking down to see people, both in human and animal forms, going about their daily lives. They land on the roof of a tall building, sit down, and enjoy the view.
1.6. The Creation Crew.
At their home, Wrathenus helps Technodroid finish the rest of his training.
Wrathenus:
Alright... Fly!
Technodroid leaps into the air, and flies around.
Wrathenus:
Teleport.
Technodroid's body disappears in an orange flame. In the distance, orange flames appear. They transform into Technodroid.
Wrathenus:
Now, transform!
Technodroid transforms into his animal form. It's a Tyrant-Feline.
Wrathenus:
And return!
Technodroid transforms back into his human form, and lands back onto the ground.
Wrathenus:
And finally... vehicle mode!
Technodroid's eyes glow orange. Orange flames appear around his, and a white van appears. Technodroid is in the driver's seat.
Wrathenus:
And... return!
Technodroid's eyes glow orange again, and the van disappears in an orange flame. Wrathenus runs up to Technodroid, and hugs him.
Wrathenus:
That was fantastic!
Technodroid:
I have a great teacher.
They kissed each other.
Wrathenus:
Funny you should say that. I had a hard time learning to do all of these.
Suddenly, Wrathenus gets a call. A green holographic screen appears in front of her. Another man is visible on it. He's green with red hair.
Man:
Hey Wrathenus, we're ready to continue.
Wrathenus:
Alright. We're on our way.
Man:
"We?" Does that mean-
Wrathenus smiles.
Wrathenus:
That's a surprise. We'll be there soon.
The call ends, and the holographic screen disappears.
Technodroid:
What was that?
Wrathenus:
A call from a friend. We're about to finish constructing a new building. Say... This will be the perfect opportunity to introduce to you the Creation Crew! This will be your first driving lesson. Transform into your vehicle again.
Technodroid's eyes glow orange, and his van manifests out of orange fire. The two of them get into the vehicle. A steering wheel is in front of him. Next to it is a computer. Wrathenus presses on it, and presses on the map button. A holographic map appears.
Wrathenus:
Computer, plot a course for Creation Crew Station 1.
A red line appears on the map, directing them towards the mansion.
Wrathenus:
Alright Tech, grab the steering wheel.
Technodroid grabs the steering wheel.
Wrathenus:
Follow the directions of the map.
Technodroid presses on the gas pedal, and the van drives away. The van arrives at a building. The letters "Creation Crew Station 1" are on the roof. Technodroid's car evaporates in flames. Technodroid looks up at the letters on the roof.
Technodroid:
"Creation... Crew... Station?"
Wrathenus:
One of many. These are location all throughout Synervia.
The walk towards the entrance. Wrathenus grabs the door, and lets Technodroid enter first. There's a large group of people inside. They are using their powers to create multiple things. Wrathenus walks up to him.
Wrathenus:
Welcome to the Creation Crew. We helped to build everything that you see in Synervia.
On their right, there is a table with people sitting at it. Four people are sitting on the left side of it, and two sitting on the right side of it. One of them, sitting on the left side of the table, turns around and sees Wrathenus and Technodroid. It's the green-and-red-colored man that called Wrathenus. He smiles at the couple, and gets up from the table to greet them. His chair disappears.
Wrathenus:
Hey Slick!
Slickshot:
Hey, Wrath!
Wrathenus:
Slickshot, this is Technodroid.
Slickshot looks up to Technodroid, and then he turns back to Wrathenus.
Slickshot:
Is he your mate?
Wrathenus smiles, and nods her head. Slickshot's eyes widen, and a smile forms on his face. He grabs Technodroid's hand, and shakes it enthusiastically.
Slickshot:
Finally! It's so cool to meet you, Technodroid! It's about time that Wrathenus finally found her true love.
Technodroid looks at Wrathenus. Wrathenus blushes, and playfully pushes Slickshot away. She has an embarrassed smile on her face.
Wrathenus:
T-That's enough, Slick! Let's introduce him to the rest of the leaders of the team.
Slickshot's smile fades.
Slickshot:
Oh... right.
Wrathenus:
It will be fine.
Slickshot sighs.
Slickshot:
Okay...
The three of them walk to the table. They sit on the right side of it. Wrathenus introduces Technodroid to the three other members sitting on the left side of the table. They're all men.
Wrathenus:
Guys, meet Technodroid. He's my mate.
Technodroid waves at the three men. They wave back. Slickshot sits back in his chair. Two more chairs materialize next to him. Technodroid, and Wrathenus, sit in them. The Second Crew Member leans over to the Third Member, and whispers in his ear.
Second Crew Member:
Finally!
Third Crew Member:
This is our chance to replace Wrathenus.
A Fourth Crew Member, sitting next to the Third Member, joins in.
Fourth Crew Member:
No more "accidents!"
Slickshot whispers to them from across the table:
Slickshot:
Not now, you guys!
Technodroid looks at Slickshot, and then at the three men across the table. He heard everything that they said. Wrathenus quickly switches Technodroid's attention to the two strangers sitting on their side. The first is a male, and the second is a female.
Wrathenus:
Um... Tech, meet Redeye and Icecore.
The male, Redeye, waves at him with a sheepish smile. He is yellow, and red.
Redeye:
Hello.
The female, Icecore, responds in a melancholy tone of voice. She is black, and white.
Icecore:
Nice to meet your acquaintance.
Confused by her tone of voice, Technodroid turns to Wrathenus.
Technodroid:
Is she okay?
Wrathenus:
That's just her personality.
Redeye lowers down, and whispers to Icecore.
Redeye:
Cheer up, Ice.
Icecube turns to Redeye.
Icecube:
Cheer up about what?
Redeye:
What do you mean "what?" Wrathenus finally met her Spirit-Mate.
Icecube:
And he has to live in this horrible universe with the rest of us now.
Icecore closes her eyes. She takes a deep breath, and then opens her eyes again.
Icecore:
I'm sorry, Red. I just moved recently, but they found me again.
Redeye's eyes widen.
Redeye:
If you need help, or another place to stay-
Icecore:
Thanks, but I'm better off alone. I might just move again.
Icecore's eyes widen as she comes up with another topic to discuss. A smile forms across her face.
Icecore:
Oh! How is everything going with your mate-to-be?
Redeye freezes. His gaze turns away from Icecore.
Redeye:
Um... I-I think it's going alright.
Icecore's smiles disappears.
Icecore:
...Oh?
Redeye shrugs.
Redeye:
Every time I try to contact her, or plan to meet up with her, she always says that she is unavailable. She wasn't like this before...
Icecore:
Hopefully, it's nothing. I am rooting for you two.
Redeye smiles at Icecore.
Redeye:
Thanks, Ice.
The Fourth Crew Member joins the conversation.
Fourth Crew Member:
You want to know what's wrong with Synervia? I'll tell you: it's the creatures of darkness living in it.
Redeye looks across the table at the Fourth Crew Member. His eyes blow red.
Redeye:
Shut it.
Fourth Crew Member:
And the traitorous creatures of light who defend them.
Everyone at the table becomes quiet. Slickshot tries to find a way to break the tension. Then, he has an idea.
Slickshot:
Hey, Tech! Check this out!
His eyes glow red. He takes a chunk out of his arm, and it turns into a ball of green mud. The ball of mud turns into a small Prowler figure. The figure begins to move, and turns to Technodroid. It puts its head on the ground, and wags its tail.
Slickshot:
It likes you.
Technodroid smiles.
Technodroid:
Can I touch it?
Slickshot:
Sure!
Technodroid touches the head of the Prowler figure. His eyes glow orange. The figure glows orange briefly. Technodroid's eyes stop glowing orange. Then, the Prowler figure starts to contort and grow larger. Spikes come out of its body, and its mouth grows sharp teeth. Slickshot's eyes glow red, and he grabs the figure. The figure glow red, and it starts to shrink a bit. However, the figure glows orange again and continues to grow larger again. Slickshot's eyes stop glowing.
Slickshot:
I can't stop it!?
The weight of the Prowler figure breaks the table. All eight of the people get up, and move away from the table. Their chairs disappear, and the table breaks. Wrathenus sticks her hands forward, and her eyes turn green.
Wrathenus:
I've got it!
Green light comes out of Wrathenus hands. The light flies towards the giant Prolwer figure, and hits it. The Prolwer figure glows green, and so do its eyes. Wrathenus' eyes widen.
Wrathenus:
Uh oh...
The Prowler looks down on at the group. Its mouth opens, and a green fire out of its mouth that moves towards them!
Wrathenus:
RUN!
The group move out of the way before the flames hit them. The other inhabitants are terrified, and begin to run away. Wrathenus' eyes glow green, and she sends a telepathic message to someone. All of the inhabitants run out of the building. The giant Prowler figure bursts out of the building, and chases after them. It opens its mouth, and tries to shoot its fire breath again. However, its body is covered in a red glow and is frozen in place. Wrathenus turns her head around, and looks up in the air. Embercore and Stareye appear out of the sky. Stareye lands on the ground, while Embercore stays in the air.
Embercore:
Run towards me, everyone!
The crowd runs towards Embercore. However, Stareye doesn't. He remembers how he stopped the Synervian Castle from collapsing, and an idea forms in his mind. He runs towards the giant Prowler figure. Embercore sees this below.
Embercore:
Star! Stay back!
Stareye grabs the Prowler figure's right forelimb. His eyes glow white, and the Prowler figure gets covered in a white light. the figure begins to shrink. The spikes in its back begin to disappear, and its eyes stop glowing green. It shrinks back down to its original size, and looks normal again. Stareye picks it up, and it licks his hand with its mud tongue. It wags its tail as well. Embercore remembers the incident at the castle.
Embercore:
Just like before...
Slickshot runs up to Stareye. Stareye hands him the Prowler figure.
Slickshot:
Thank you!
Slickshot looks at Stareye.
Slickshot:
I don't believe we've met before...
Embercore lands next to Stareye.
Embercore:
This is Stareye. He's my mate.
Slickshot smiles, and turns to Embercore.
Slickshot:
You and Wrathenus finally found your mates!?
Embercore closes her eyes, and smiles. She nods her head. Slickshot's eyes widen, and are filled with glee.
Slickshot:
Wait until Evi hears about this!
Fourth Crew Member:
Perfect! Just what we need: a creature of darkness in power!
Third Crew Member:
Even worse: a creature of light with the powers of a creature of darkness.
Embercore turns to them. She has a stern look on her face.
Embercore:
How many times have I told you all not to use those terms?
The Second Crew Member steps in front of his teammates.
Second Crew Member:
They're not wrong though. Technodroid caused Slickshot's mud figure to go out of control. Wrathenus tried to help, but she just made things worse.
Fourth Crew Member:
As per usual...
Embercore glares at the Fourth Crew Member. He looks away from her. Then, she turns her attention to Wrathenus and Technodroid.
Embercore:
What happened?
Wrathenus sulks.
Wrathenus:
Technodroid's powers... seem to have caused the figurine to react violently. I tried to use my powers to control it, but it... caused the figurine to breath fire instead...
Slickshot:
Even I couldn't use my powers to make it turn back to normal. Stareye did though.
Some of the other Crew members start cheering.
Crew Member 4:
Yeah! Stareye!
Crew Member 5:
We told you creatures of light that not all of us creatures of darkness are dangerous!
Crew Member 6:
You better start treating us better!
Fourth Crew Member:
Just wait! Stareye is going to prove that he's no better than the rest of you! You can have Technodroid as well. He's a freak too!
Technodroid turns to the three Crew Members. He walks up to them, and glares at them.
Technodroid:
Who are you calling a "freak?"
His eyes glow orange. The three Members cower. Wrathenus notices this. A feeling of satisfaction stirs inside of her. Embercore's eyes glow red, and she yells out:
Embercore:
ENOUGH!
Everyone cowers from Embercore's exclamation. Her eyes return to normal.
Embercore:
Listen closely: we are not going to talk about creatures of light, or creatures of darkness. We are going to repair the station. Is that clear?
Everyone remains silent.
Embercore:
Good.
Everyone starts to head back inside the station. Icecore, and Redeye, walk up to Stareye.
Icecore:
Welcome to Synervia, Stareye. You get to suffer with the rest of us.
Stareye is puzzled. Icecore walks inside the station. Redeye sheepishly smiles, and shrugs, at Stareye. Then, he enters the station.
1.7. Strangers in Wonderland.
Later on, Embercore, Wrathenus, Stareye, and Technodroid go to Wrathenus' and Technodroid's home. Embercore and Stareye talk to Wrathenus in her living room.
Wrathenus:
I've never seen anything like this for a fire elemental before. He perfected all of his training. His powers are an anomaly though. They act like.... well... mine.
At the entrance to the living room is a staircase. Technodroid listens to the conversation at the top of the staircase.
Embercore:
Well, we're going to help him. Star needs to finish his training as well, so we'll continue where we left off from before.
Wrathenus:
Works for me...
Wrathenus has a concerned look on her face. Embercore notices this.
Embercore:
What's wrong?
Wrathenus:
,,,I messed up again... What if I'll never-
Embercore puts her hands on Wrathenus' shoulders.
Embercore:
Hey. We fixed the station, and there were no casualties. If you want me to train you again, then I will. It's going to be okay. I'll make sure of it.
Wrathenus nods her head.
Wrathenus:
Okay.
Embercore hugs her. Stareye leaves the room, and heads for the staircase. Technodroid turns away. Stareye runs up the staircase, and notices Technodroid sitting on the ground. Stareye realizes something...
Stareye:
Did you hear everything?
Technodroid nods his head. Stareye sits on the ground, and faces Technodroid.
Technodroid:
I don't think this is the first time my powers have gone out of control.
Stareye:
What do you mean?
Technodroid:
When you awakened, do you remember the castle being on fire?
Stareye:
Yes.
Technodroid:
...I think my powers caused the fire.
Stareye's eyes widen.
Stareye:
Oh...
Technodroid looks at his hand.
Technodroid:
What's wrong with me? What kind of power do I have?
Stareye:

Stareye smiles back. Embercore's voice rings from the bottom of the stairs.
Embercore (Voice):
Star, we're leaving.
Stareye:
Coming!
Stareye gets up from the ground. As he heads to the stairs, he turns back to Technodroid. He waves at him.
Stareye:
See you later!
Technodroid waves back.
Technodroid:
Bye!
Stareye and Embercore leave. Wrathenus walks up the stairs. She notices Technodroid on the ground.
Wrathenus:
What are you doing down there?
She grabs his arms, and helps him to his feet. Technodroid looks at his hand.
Technodroid:
What's wrong with me?
Wrathenus:
Babe, it's going to be okay. Ember will help us. Star too, once he finishes his training.
Technodroid:
What did those guys mean by "creature of light," and "creature of darkness?"
Wrathenus:
Ignore that. That's just some... It's nothing.
Technodroid notices that Wrathenus looks visibly upset.
Technodroid:
Are you sure? Those Creation Crew guys said some bad things about us. Why don't they like us?
Wrathenus takes a deep breath.
Wrathenus:
I've always had a hard time trying to maintain control over my powers. You saw that I made things worse earlier. It's been like this since I awakened. Embercore has worked tirelessly to help me, but it doesn't seem to be working. For that reason, I've always been a bit of a loner.
Suddenly, Wrathenus splits into three versions of herself. One version is purple. The second is blue. The final version is green.
Purple Wrathenus:
I'm use to hanging out by myself, but I do have a few friends. Ember is one. Slickshot is another.
The three Wrathenuses sync back into each other.
Wrathenus:
But now, I have you.
Wrathenus holds Technodroid's hand.
Wrathenus:
I know that you're scared of your powers, but you're not the only one. I know exactly what you're going through, babe.
Wrathenus turns her head away, and frowns.
Wrathenus (In her head):
If only Ember would do something about the increasing animosity between the creatures of light, and darkness.
Technodroid's eyes glow orange, and so do Wrathenus'. He reads Wrathenus' mind, and he hears everything.
Technodroid (Telepathically):
Maybe we should do something then?
Wrathenus turns her head back to Technodroid.
Wrathenus:
Did you hear-
Technodroid:
Think about it: if Embercore cannot control the people, then maybe Synervia needs new leadership?
Wrathenus' eyes grow larger.
Wrathenus:
What are you saying? Ember has been our leader since Synervia was created. It's the way things are.
Technodroid:
Are you happy with her management of Synervia?
Wrathenus:
I've never... I think that she should improve in some areas.
Technodroid:
Such as?
Wrathenus:
...Well, if I was in charge of the Creation Crew, I would've fired the members that bully me constantly. However, Ember wants everyone to get along...
Wrathenus' hand forms into a fist.
Wrathenus (In her head):
That's hasn't helped my predicament though... Maybe she's probably too busy basking in everyone's admiration since she's a creature of light? She doesn't know what it's like to be hated every day, despite trying your best to get along with everyone!
Her eyes glow orange again.
Technodroid:
Do you hate Ember?
Wrathenus looks at Technodroid with a shocked expression on her face. She puts her hands on her mouth, even though she did't speak.
Wrathenus:
No no no no no! Not at all! I owe her so much! Everybody does...
Wrathenus turns away from him, ashamed of her thoughts. Technodroid walks up behind her, and wraps his arms around her.
Technodroid:
It's okay. You can tell me.
Wrathenus turns her head towards Technodroid, contemplating whether or not she should continue. However, she feels safe around him.
1.8. Trouble in Paradise.
Back at the Synervian Castle, Embercore is teaching Stareye how to transform. They're back on the front lawn.
Embercore:
Alright, Star. Now that you know how to fly, it's time I taught you how to transform into your animal form. First, you have to imprint on me. It allows us to control each other's animal forms.
Stareye:
Is the animal form dangerous?
Embercore:
Inherently, no. However, there have been some incidents in the past with some water and wind elementals. It takes them a little while to transform. When they do, their animal forms can be a little harder to control since they haven't imprinted yet.
Stareye:
In that case, let's get this done right now.
Embercore puts her forehead on Stareye's forehead, and stares into Stareye's eyes. Her eyes glow red, and so do Stareye's. She enters into Stareye's mind, and sees Stareye's animal form. It's curled into a ball and sleeping on the ground. Embercore walks up to it. The creature is ten times her size. She places her hand on the creature’s snout.
Embercore:
Creature, it's time to wake up.
The animal doesn't wake up. Embercore tries again.
Embercore:
Creature, wake up!
The animal doesn't move.
Embercore:
Hm...
Embercore comes out of Stareye's mind, and her eyes stop glowing. Stareye's eyes return to normal as well.
Stareye:
What did you see?
Embercore:
I saw your animal form, but it was sleeping. I couldn't stir it, so it might take a while for you to transform.
Stareye:
Terrific...
Embercore puts a hand on Stareye's shoulder. Suddenly, Stareye's eyes turn white and a holographic screen appears in front of him. It's a call, but the screen shows Wrathenus' living room.
Stareye:
Hello?
Technodroid:
S-Star... eye... H-Help...
Both Stareye and Embercore look concerned.
Embercore:
Is that...
Stareye:
Technodroid. It sounds like he's in trouble!
Embercore:
I'm going to find out.
Stareye:
I'm going with you.
Embercore:
No. I'm-
Stareye:
I'm going with you.
Embercore is surprised by Stareye's insistence, but she nods her head in approval. The holographic screen disappears, and the two of them leave the castle. They fly over to Wrathenus' and Technodroid's home. They land at the front door. However, they notice that the front door was kicked inward.
Stareye:
It looks like a break-in.
Embercore:
Stick together, and be careful.
They both carefully enter the house. So far, they find nothing. They turn to the left, where the living room is. When they enter the room, they find Technodroid's body lying on the ground! His limbs have been ripped apart from his body. Orange flames come out his severed limbs. Stareye and Embercore run towards him. They kneel down, and check on him. Stareye touches Technodroid's shoulder, and shakes him.
Stareye:
Technodroid!
Technodroid doesn't respond. Embercore looks around.
Embercore:
Stay with him. I'm going to look for Wrathenus.
Embercore leaves the room, and goes up the staircase. Stareye examines Technodroid's body. Then, he turns to Technodroid's severed limbs. His eyes widen as an idea forms in his head. He collects Technodroid's severed limbs, and places them next to his body. Then, Stareye places his hand back on Technodroid's chest. His eyes glow white, and Technodroid's body begins to glow. Technodroid's severed limbs reattach to his body, and he is fully repaired! Technodroid opens his eyes, and Stareye removes his hand from his chest. He smiles, and call out to Embercore.
Stareye:
Ember!
Embercore runs down the stairs, and back into the living room. She sees that Technodroid is awake. She turns to Stareye.
Embercore:
Star, did you-
Stareye:
I healed him!
Technodroid:
...What...?
Stareye:
Hey buddy. Take it easy. Ember and I are here.
Technodroid:
Where… Where’s Wrathenus?
Embercore:
...Just stay calm. We’re taking you to the castle.
Stareye:
I'll carry him.
Stareye picks up Technodroid, and carries him outside. Embercore is surprised, but then follows Stareye out of the building. Technodroid opens his eyes, and he wakes up in the living room of the Synervian Castle. He's lying on a couch, and is covered in a blanket. Stareye and Embercore are there.
Stareye:
You're finally awake.
Technodroid:
What happened?
Stareye:
Do you remember anything that happened?
Technodroid tries to remember what happened. His eyes glow green, and then return to normal.
Technodroid:
…I... I can't…
Embercore:
Let me try to help.
Embercore touches Technodroid's head, and tries to reads his mind. Suddenly, both of their eyes turn green. Embercore gets a massive headache. She lets go of Technodroid's head, and grasps her own. Stareye touches Embercore's shoulder.
Stareye:
Ember!?
Embercore takes some deep breathes. She opens her eyes. They returned to normal.
Embercore:
I can't read his mind. I think someone put a spell on him.
Technodroid:
Where's Wrathenus?
Stareye and Embercore look at each other in hesitation. Noticing the tension, Technodroid leans up.
Technodroid:
Guys?
Stareye:
After we put you here, Ember and I went back to your home. We searched everywhere, including the factory. We couldn't find Wrathenus.
Embercore:
Not even her orb. If Wrathenus was put to slumber, we could've brought her back with her orb. As for now... she has completely disappeared.
Stareye:
If you were attacked by someone, the perpetrator probably has her her orb.
Embercore touches Technodroid's hand.
Embercore:
I'm so sorry.
Technodroid shakes his head. Tears start to stream down his face. He closes his eyes, but the tears keep flowing. Stareye is hit hard by this. He leans in to Technodroid.
Stareye:
We’ll find whoever did this, Tech. I promise.
Enbercore:
You'll stay with us until we make sure that your home is safe. Get some rest.
Technodroid lies back down on. Eventually, he falls back asleep. Upstairs in their bedroom, Stareye and Embercore ponder over what happened. Stareye notices that Embercore is extremely sad.
Stareye:
Are you okay?
Embercore:
...I did my best to maintain stability in Synervia. Wrathenus, however, was always... isolated. She did make a few friends, like me and Slickshot, but she was often by herself. Now that she's gone, I feel like... I feel like I failed her...
Stareye walks up to her, and hugs her from behind.
Stareye:
Hey. We did everything that we could for now. Maybe we should rest for a bit, and come up with a plan later on.
Embercore:
...Yeah. That's fine.
Embercore transforms into her night gown, and crawls into the bed. Stareye puts the cover onto her. She falls asleep. After that, Stareye sneaks out of the room, and goes into the hallway. He leans against the wall, and ponders to himself for a bit.
Stareye (In his mind):
I have to do something. Both Ember and Tech need my help. There has to be something that we missed at their home. Maybe if I go back there and do another search, I'll find a clue? I should do something to protect myself in case I run into trouble. Maybe... I should make a protective suit!
Stareye's eyes glow white, and a holographic screen appears in front of him. He taps on the screen, and begins to create a superhero suit. After he's finished with the design, his body glows white. His body transforms into the suit. It's a black and white, with a black cape. A black hat covers his ears and his forehead. Stareye looks pleased with the results. He turns to go down the stairs. Suddenly, his eyes glow red and he stops. A yellow and red tail grabs Stareye, and pulls him into the bedroom! It's Embercore! She's out of bed, and is being supported by her tail. Her eyes are glowing red.
Embercore:
You are NOT going back there!
Stareye:
Did you read my-
Embercore:
Yes, I did. Also, since you're my mate we can read each others' minds. I'm not going to have you get hurt!
Stareye:
I... didn't want to disturb you... I just want to help-
Embercore's tail disappears, and Stareye is freed. Embercore's tail transforms back into legs, and her eyes stop glowing red. She takes a deep sigh.
Embercore:
I know you want to help, but I don't want you doing this by yourself. I lost Wrathenus, and we're lucky that Technodroid is safe. If something were to happen to you, I would lose my mind.
Stareye:
...I'm sorry.
Embercore hugs him. Stareye reciprocates. Embercore notices Stareye's suit. She rubs her hand on Stareye's chest.
Embercore:
I like the suit.
Stareye's ears perk up in excitement, and a smile forms on his face.
Stareye:
Thanks.
Embercore smiles back at him.
Embercore:
I'll need to make one myself.
Embercore holds Stareye's hand.
Embercore:
I want us to work together. We're partners, and partners work together. I'll always have your back, and you'll have mine. Okay?
Stareye gets serious.
Stareye:
I won't let anything happen to you.
Embercore blushes. Stareye is surprised. He thinks she looks beautiful. He leans in closer, but he stops out of hesitation. Embercore nods her head in approval. Stareye leans in again, and the two of them kiss on the lips. The two of them hug each other. Their lips part. They're both a little embarrassed, but they're both very happy. Embercore takes Stareye's hat, and puts it on her head. Then she wraps her arms around Stareye's neck, and smiles at him.
Embercore:
Now, partner, let's get to work.
Below in the living room, Technodroid listened to their conversation while pretending to be asleep on the couch.
1.9. Training to be a Hero.
Later on, Technodroid, Stareye, and Embercore return to Wrathenus' and Technodroid's home.
Embercore:
Star and I checked as best as we could. It's clear.
Technodroid looks around hesitantly. Stareye notices this.
Stareye:
Are you okay?
Technodroid nods his head.
Technodroid:
...Just a little apprehensive.
Stareye pats Technodroid on the back.
Stareye:
We've got your back.
Technodroid smiles.
Technodroid:
Thank you.
Embercore's eyes turn red, and a holographic screen appears in front of them. The trio are broadcasting an announcement to all of Synervia.
Embercore:
My fellow Synervians, may I have your attention for a moment? I'm afraid that we have some bad news to share with you all, but we also need your help.
Embercore turns to Technodroid. He takes a deep breath.
Technodroid:
Hello Synervia. My name is Technodroid. I am Wrathenus' mate. I have to announce some terrible news: Wrathenus is missing. Currently, Embercore and Stareye are working hard to find out what happened to her. If it wasn’t for them, especially Stareye, I probably wouldn’t be here right now. I will use this second chance to serve all of you as best as I can, just like Wrathenus did...
Technodroid pauses, and closes his eyes. Stareye rubs his shoulders. Technodroid takes a deep breath, and then opens his eyes again.
Technodroid:
Thank you.
The broadcasts ends. Slickshot, and the three Creation Crew members, were outside when they saw the announcement.
Slickshot:
Wrathenus is gone!?
Fourth Crew Member:
...Oh well.
Slickshot turns around with a furious expression on his face.
Slickshot:
"Oh well!?" She was our friend!
Third Crew Member:
She was your friend, Slick.
Second Crew Member:
If it wasn't for Ember, we wouldn't have gotten any work done because Wrathenus' powers kept destroying everything.
A male bystander hears the conversation, and joins in.
Male Stranger:
Yeah! Those creatures of darkness cannot control their powers, yet we have to live with them?
A female stranger chimes in on the conversation.
Female Stranger:
And why does Embercore always take their side?
Male Stranger:
She's a traitor. That's why.
Female stranger:
Perhaps we creatures of light should officially segregate ourselves from the creatures of darkness?
Another female stranger walks past the crowd. Her face is covered by a hood. Her body is covered by a cape that is connected to her hood.
Male Stranger:
Why stop there? Someone already got rid of Wrathenus. Maybe we should do the same with the other creatures of darkness.
Everyone laughs, except for the hooded woman and Slickshot.
Slickshot:
What's wrong with you people!? Wrathenus is my friend! As a creature of light myself, I stand with Ember!
He turns to the male stranger.
Slickshot:
Synervia was made for all of us, not just you.
He focuses on his Creation Crew teammates.
Slickshot:
Wrathenus worked hard to try and control her powers. You know that. Despite her efforts, all you guys did was belittle her.
The hooded female figure turns to Slickshot. He walks away hastily from the group.
Slickshot
I'm going home. You people make me sick!
Slickshot flies up into the air, and disappears. The hooded woman watches Slickshot fly away. She turns back to the three Creation Crew Members.
Fourth Crew Member:
Maybe someone should put that traitor to slumber next?
Second Crew Member:
Slick is going to have to make a choice, and he better make the right one.
The hooded woman walks away. Back at Technodroid's home, Technodroid turns to Embercore and Stareye.
Technodroid:
Thank you. Both of you. If you guys need anything, anything at all, please let me know.
Stareye salutes Technodroid.
Stareye:
Same here.
The two of them sake hands. Stareye and Embercore leave, and return to Synervia Castle. They are in the new Training Room, which used to be the Orb Chamber room. Stareye watches Embercore design her own superhero suit on a holographic screen. When she's done, her body glows red and materializes into the suit. She turns around to see how she looks in it.
Embercore:
How do I look?
Stareye blushes.
Stareye:
You look great.
They walk into the center of the room. Emberbore turns around, and faces Stareye. Stareye transforms into his superhero suit. He taps on his wrist comp, and a holographic manual appears. Stareye grabs the manual, and separates it from the wrist comp. He enlarges it so that he and Embercore can see it.
Stareye:
I came up with some defensive moves that I think will help protect us.
Stareye and Embercore raise their fists, and get into a defensive stance.
Stareye:
Ember, swing your fist at me. I'll try to-
Embercore swings her fist at Stareye. She hits him in the face! Embercore covers her mouth out of shock.
Embercore:
I’m so sorry!
Stareye rubs his head. He cracks a smile.
Stareye:
I meant to say that I was going to try and catch your fist.
Embercore:
Are you okay?
Stareye:
I'm fine. Let's try that again.
Embercore is relieved. she takes a deep breath, and gets back into position. She throws another fist at Stareye, but he catches it this time.
Stareye:
Good! Now, I'll try to kick you. You will block my kick with your arms.
Embercore:
Okay!
Stareye kicks Embercore in her stomach. Embercore blocks Stareye’s kick with her arms, but the force of Stareye’s kick sends her to the opposite side of the room! She hits the wall! Stareye’s jaw drops. Embercore detaches herself from the wall, and walks up to Stareye.
Embercore:
Was that-
Embercore stumbles a bit, but regains her posture.
Embercore:
…Payback for punching you?
Stareye:
I’m sorry! I didn’t think I kicked you that hard!
Embercore smiles.
Embercore:
Don't worry, babe. I'm alright.
Stareye:
This might take a while for us to get use to.
Embercore gets back into position.
Embercore:
I'm not giving up.
Stareye smiles.
Stareye:
I knew you wouldn't.
The two of them continue to train until they mastered their move sets. Then, they moved on to their second lesson.
Embercore:
Everybody in Synervia has two kinds of powers: An elemental one, and a spirit or soul one. The four elements are fire, air, earth, and water. A male Synervian has spirit power, while a female Synervian has soul power. This allows you to have a range of powers. For example, I'm a fire elemental.
Embercore lifts up one of her hands, and a yellow and red fire forms in her palm. She closes her fist, and the flame disappears.
Embercore:
And my soul powers are telepathy and telekinesis. You've experienced that already.
Stareye forms a nervous smile on his face.
Embercore:
Yours spirit power seems to be regeneration. Now, we have to find your elemental power. I have an idea though.
Embercore's eyes turn red for a second. Four humanoid holograms appear in front of Stareye. They each represent the four elements.
Embercore:
A fire, or earth, elemental is always paired up with a mate that is either a water or wind elemental. You should be one of the latter two. Try touching one of these elemental mannequins. Your elemental power should appear by reacting to one of them.
Stareye:
Alright.
Stareye walks up to the first mannequin, which is a fire elemental. He touches the arm of the mannequin, and the fire on the arm freezes into white ice.
Embercore:
Ah. You're a water elemental. Water and wind elementals are vulnerable to fire and earth elemental powers, but not to each other. The opposite is the same for fire, and earth, elementals. Now, let's learn how to use our elemental powers for defense and offense.
Embercore's eyes turn red again. The fire elemental mannequin raises its second arm. A fire stream shoots out of the hand and hits Stareye, pushing him back. Stareye manages to regain his footing by forming ice under the bottom of his foot. When his feet hit the ground, he sticks to it. Stareye puts one hand forward, and blocks the fire stream in his hand. Stareye's eyes glow white, and ice shoots out of them. They turn the entire fire mannequin into ice. Embercore's eyes glow red briefly, and the mannequin disappears.
Embercore:
That was pretty cool!
Stareye:
Yeah. Wait, what about the other three?
Embercore:
We are going to learn how to defeat those elemental types next.
Stareye and Embercore train to use their elemental powers against the other elements. Training finally ends, and Stareye and Embercore prepare to make an announcement to the universe from Synervia Castle.
Embercore:
I'll let you do the honors this time.
Stareye's eyes turn white, and a screen appears. The broadcast is in progress. Other Synervians stop to watch.
Embercore:
Greetings, everyone. We have another official announcement. I will let my mate take it from here.
Embercore turns to Stareye.
Stareye:
Hello- *clears throat* Hello everyone. Sorry. This is my first time doing this.
Some viewers chuckle at this.
Stareye:
My name is Stareye. Due to the recent event that has occurred, Ember and I have decided to create the Synervian Protection Team.
Embercore:
We will find Wrathenus, and help anybody else who needs it. If need our help, you know where to find us. Stay safe, everyone.
The broadcast ends. Embercore puts her arm on Stareye's shoulder, and leans down to him.
Embercore:
Good job, honey.
Stareye smiles. Later on, Stareye continues his training. Even though he is still unable to transform into his animal mode, Embercore trains him to teleport and to drive his vehicle. Stareye learns to teleport inside the training room by going from one corner of the room to the other. Being a water type, he teleports by using evaporation. Later on, Stareye learns to drive. His car, which is black, drives up to the front of Synervian Castle.
Embercore:
You're doing great, Star!
Stareye:
I'm just trying to catch up. I wish I could transform into my animal form though.
Embercore:
Still, you made great progress.
Embercore kisses Stareye on the cheek.
Embercore:
I'm proud of you. We can take a break for a bit.
Stareye:
Roger that.
Stareye's eyes turn white, and his car disappears. Embercore walks back inside. However, Stareye's eyes turn white again. A screen appears. He finds at a model of his car.
Stareye (In his head):
Hm. I wonder if I can made some modifications to the vehicle. Just in case we need something.
Stareye starts tinkering with the model.
Embercore:
Star?
Stareye:
Coming!
Stareye runs inside.
Embercore:
I'm just being careful. I don't want anything to happen to you.
Stareye:
Hey, after all the training we've done, I won't go down without a fight.
Embercore smiles.
Embercore:
True, but I'm not taking any chances.
Unbeknownst to them, someone is watching. The mysterious hooded woman from before is watching them on a giant screen. She is wearing a mask. She is sitting on her hair, which is made of tentacles. Her eyes glow green, and she sends a telepathic message to someone. It's a man.
Hooded Woman (Telepathically):
Are you finished making your suit?
Mystery Man (Telepathically):
Almost. I have to make a few more adjustments. Did something come up?
She flashes back to Slickshot defending Wrathenus in front of the crowd.
Hooded Woman (Telepathically):
I think I found our first test subject for the second part of our plan.
Mystery Man (Telepathically):
In that case, let operation Synervian Liberation Force commence.
