Hyperdimension Neptunia: Land of the Goddesses: Ep. 3: Leanbox.

Episode 3: Leanbox. The foursome then headed to Leanbox, "The Land of Green Pastures," to find Lady Green Heart. In the carriage ride over to the Basilicom, Neptune notices that IF seems particularly eager to be here. Her eyes light up as she glances at the buildings around her. She takes out her phone and starts recording a video.

IF: I’m finally in Leanbox! It’s been my life’s dream to meet Lady Green Heart in person, and I’m a couple of minutes away from-

 

Neptune gets in front of her phone’s camera.

 

Neptune: Are you recording our ride up to the Basilicom?
IF: Ugh!

 

IF stops the video.

 

IF: It’s nothing.

Neptune: You seem very happy, Iffy.

IF: “Iffy?”
Neptune: A nickname I came up for you.
IF: A nickname that’s longer than my actual name?
Neptune: You don’t like it?

IF: No… It’s okay.

Neptune: Anyway, like I was saying, you seem pretty happy to be here.

IF: Mmm… Not really.

A devious smile forms on Neptune’s face.

 

Neptune: I bet you’re here to see Lady Green Heart!

 

IF’s face turns bright red.

 

IF: N-N-N-NO! I’m just… happy to be here, like you’ve said.

Neptune: Iffy has a crush on Lady Green Heart!
IF: How old are you? 

 

The carriage finally arrives at the Basilicom. The four women walk up to the Basilicom and are greeted by two guards.

 

Guard 1: Sorry ladies, but Lady Green Heart is refusing to see any visitors right now. She's working.

Noire: This is urgent business between the goddesses. Tell her that Lady Black Heart and Purple Heart are here to see her.

Guard 2: You two are goddesses? Yeah, right. I bet you're cosplayers.

Neptune: Cosplay? What's that?

Noire: Y-Yeah... What is that?  

 

Noire’s cheeks turn red.

 

As the guards continue to argue with Neptune and Noire, IF waits impatiently behind the group. She constantly taps her foot on the ground in irritation with her arms crossed. She turns to the right, and then she notices something. On the far right side of the building is a window. IF sneaks away from the group and goes up to it. She reaches into her coat and takes out a small knife. She cuts a large circle into the glass of the window, and goes through the opening. She places the piece of glass back into place.

 

Once inside, IF is amazed at how big the Basilicom is! She takes her phone back out and starts to record a new video. She speaks in a low tone of voice.

 

IF: I’m finally inside the Basilicom. The only problem is that I don’t know where Lady Green Heart could be...

 

She walks down a hallway and is greeted by a fleet of stairs. She walks up the stairs and spots a room. She hesitantly opens the door and realizes that she's in someone's bedroom. On the bed, a woman is sleeping. Light shines on her face and it causes her to wake up. She yawns.

 

Mystery Woman: Who is it?

IF: I'm sorry! I was just... 

 

The woman leans up. Realizing that this is a bedroom that she’s in, a  thought comes into IF’s mind.

 

IF: Wait... Are you Lady Green Heart!?
Lady Green Heart: Yes, and I was in the middle of my-

 

Lady Green Heart rubs her eyes and looks at IF. IF glows in the sunlight, making Green Heart’s face blush.

 

Green Heart: My oh my!

IF: Was I disturbing your rest? I’m so so-
Green Heart: No! No! No! Please stay. 

 

She gets out of the bed and faces IF. IF can't believe what is happening.

 

IF: Wow! I can't believe that I'm meeting Lady Green Heart!

Green Heart: Please, call me "Vert," and I can't believe I'm talking to such a cute girl.

IF: M-Me... C-Cute!?

Lady Vert: What's your name?

IF: I-IF! 

Lady Vert: Such an awesome name! Say, IF, would you like to have some pastries?

 

Outside the Basilicom, the three women are still arguing with the guards.

 

Guard 1: Enough, ladies. You are not getting inside. Lady Green Heart said-
Noire: Enough of this!

 

Noire transforms into her goddess form. The guards jump back.

 

Black Heart: Let, Us. In!

 

The two guards start to tremble.

 

Guard 2: Y-Y-Yes ma’am!

Guard: What!?
Guard: Just let them go!

 

The two guards part to let the three women through. Black Heart transforms back into Noire.

 

Noire: Thank you, gents.

 

The three women walk inside the building. Neptune stops, turns around, and faces the guards again.

 

Neptune: Umm… Where is Green Heart right now?

 

Meanwhile, Lady Vert and IF are sitting down at a table eating.

 

IF: I hate to say this, but I had to break in in order to meet you.

Lady Vert: I know. I told my guards not to let anyone in so that I could sleep. I’ll be honest though, this is a lovely surprise.

IF: I really wanted to meet you Lady Vert, but I'm also here to ask you for a favor: I'm here with three other girls: Lady Purple Heart, Black Heart, and a nurse in training named Compa. I’m a member of the Guild. 

Lady Vert: Ah, the monster hunters.
IF: Yeah. We’re here to help you take down the monsters in Leanbox, but in return we’ll need your help in finding Histoire.

Lady Vert: Histoire? What happened to her?
IF: She was kidnapped from Neptune’s… Purple Heart’s, Basilicom. We need your help in finding her.

Lady Vert: Of course! Histoire is practically a mother to me and the other goddesses. I’ll do whatever I can to help.

IF: Thank you so much! Back in Lastation, we found out that these monsters are being manufactured.

Lady Vert: Manufactured?

IF: Yes. 

Lady Vert: In that case, fighting the monsters on each land is just delaying time that we could be using to stop whoever is creating them.

IF: Hmm… True. 

 

The three other girls appear.

 

Neptune: Hey, Iffy. I see you’ve found Lady Green Heart.

 

IF’s face turns red.

 

Lady Vert: Please, call me Vert. 

Noire: It’s nice to finally meet you in person, Lady Vert.

Lady Vert: You too, Noire. 

Noire: The purple-haired idiot is Neptune-

Neptune: Hey!

Noire: And the orange-haired girl is Compa.

Compa: Hello!

Lady Vert: It’s nice to meet you all, but I think we need to get to business. Iffy told me that you guys found out that the monsters are being manufactured by somebody.

IF: “Iffy?”

Lady Vert: I thought it sounded cute.

 

IF’s face turns red again, but even redder than before. Neptune smiles.

 

Neptune: You’re welcome.

Lady Vert: I think we should focus on finding the people, or person, responsible for making these abominations instead of wasting our time taking them out one by one. Also, I think we should go to the last goddess for her help as well.

Noire: Lady White Heart.

Lady Vert: Every little bit helps.

IF: Well then, I guess we’ll have to go to Lowee next. I was actually starting to enjoy myself though…

Lady Vert: Well, when we’re done Iffy, I’d be happy to have you back for an extended period of time.

 

IF’s face lights up!

 

IF: Really!?

 

She stops and turns to Neptune, who has a smug smile on her face. IF clears her throat.

 

IF: I would appreciate that.

 

Lady Vert wiggles. She grabs IF’s hand.

 

Lady Vert: Great. Then, let us depart.

 

The two of them basically skip out of the room. Compa follows them. Noire and Neptune are the last to leave.

 

Neptune: So… 

Noire: So what?
Neptune: Aren’t you having fun?
Noire: We’re on a mission to save our lands from being destroyed by monsters. There’s no time to have fun!

 

Neptune actually turns serious for a second. 

 

Neptune: You know what I mean. You said that you prefer to be alone, but now you’re out of Lastation and seeing new things, and meeting new people. We would have never met each other, or Vert, or IF and Compa, if we didn’t decide to leave our Basilicoms and lands. Being stuck in my Basilicom all the time almost drove me insane. I want to find Histoire and stop the monsters too, but I’m glad that I met you Noire, and the others.

 

Noire’s face turns red.

 

Noire: Well… I am glad that we’re working together… J-Just so that we can get the job done! It’s not like I’m happy to be with you or anything! 

Neptune: ...I know…

Noire: Huh?
Neptune: I can be a handful, but I’m like this because I just want people to be happy. I like being comical. I actually don’t like fighting. I would rather have everybody be friends, eat snacks, and play video games all day. 

Noire: …That’s not possible.

NeptuneL Right now, no, but someday… 

 

Noire stares at Neptune in amazement. Suddenly, Neptune perks up and grabs Noire’s hand.

 

Neptune: But in order for that day to come, we’ll have to save the world first!

 

The two of them begin running to catch up with the others. Noire can’t help but to smile at Neptune.

Hyperdimension Neptunia: Land of the Goddesses: Ep. 2: Lastation.

Episode 2: Lastation.
Black Heart: The trio take the Sky Harbor, a transit system that transports people across the four lands, and arrive at Lastation, "The Land of Black Regality," ruled by the goddess Black Heart. 

Neptune: Ooh! It’s very steampunky.
IF: Yeah. Lady Noire has a flair for that kind of thing.

 

They walk towards Black Heart's Basilicom. However, some commotion nearby makes them stop.. 

 

Neptune: What's that?

IF: It sounds like someone's in trouble!

 

The group runs towards the sound and spot a woman, dressed in black with white hair, and has blue wings, fighting a monster..

 

Neptune: Woah! That woman's awesome!

IF: That's Black Heart, and she’s fighting an Ancient Dragon!

Compa: We have to help her!

Neptune: Right. Let's go, gang!

 

The trio run towards Black Heart to help her. Neptune transforms into Purple Heart. The dragon swings its tail at Black Heart. She uses her sword to block the attack. She laughs.

 

Black Heart: Is that all you’ve got?

 

The dragon roars at her in frustration. 

 

Purple Heart: Black Heart!

 

Black Heart turns around and spots the group running towards her.

 

Black Heart: Huh? Hey! Stay back! It's not safe!

 

The dragon blows fire at her from its mouth. Black Heart is hit by the flames, and she starts falling to the ground.

 

Purple Heart: I’ve got you!

 

Purple Heart flies up and catches Black Heart in her arms. Black Heart opens her eyes.

 

Purple Heart: Are you alright?

 

Purple Heart smiles. Black Heart blushes, and hastily gets out of Purple Heart’s arms.

 

Black Heart: W-W-Who are you? You look just like me.
Purple Heart: I’m Purple Heart, goddess of Planeptune.

 

The dragon roars at the four of them.

 

Black Heart: We’ll talk later. First, we have to beat this thing.
Purple Heart: Right.

 

IF takes out two handguns.

 

IF: Compa, go find some cover.
Compa: I can help!

 

Compa takes out a syringe from a pocket in her dress. The syringe grows larger to being almost as large as Compa! 

 

Compa: I’m ready now!

 

The three other women are shocked.

 

IF: I guess that can help...

 

The four women charge at the dragon and fire, or swing, their weapons at the beast simultaneously. The dragon is defeated and disappears, just like the Guard Vermin.

 

Purple Heart: Nice job, team. Now, Lady Black Heart-
Black Heart: I could have handled that if you guys didn’t interrupt me.
Purple Heart: Excuse me?
Black Heart: Secondly, you shouldn’t have brought humans into battle with you. We’re goddesses. We should do this ourselves. Unless… You actually need their help to do your job.

Black Heart laughs.

Purple Heart: First, they’re my friends. If they want to help me, then they should. Second, you act pretty tough now, but you were blushing in my arms a minute go, weren’t you not?

 

Black Heart grits her teeth a bit, but her face turns red a bit.

 

Purple Heart: Third, you needed our help after the dragon fried you to a crisp.

 

Black Heart starts to glare at Purple Heart. 

 

Purple Heart: Fourth, a monster appeared in Planeptune today. IF told me that monsters have appeared in the other three lands as well. The three of us want to help you kill the monsters roaming Lastation. In return, I might need your help with something else. So, can we help each other out? Please?

 

Black Heart looks at the group. She sighs.

 

Black Heart: Okay… We'll talk more at my Basilicom.

 

Black Heart transforms into her human form.

 

Noire: Oh, and you can call me Noire.

 

Purple Heart transforms into Noire.

 

Neptune: I’m Neptune. The other two are Compa and IF.

Noire: Nice to meet you. Follow me please.

 

The group arrives at Noire’s Basilicom, and head to Noire’s office. Neptune explains what happened back on Planeptune.

 

Noire: Histoire’s gone!?

Neptune: Yeah, and I have no idea what happened to her. My Basilicom was ransacked, and there wasn’t a trace of her. It was like she just disappeared. 

Noire: I can’t believe you let that happen! That was so stupid of you!

 

Neptune doesn’t say a word.

 

Neptune: ...That’s what I want you to help me with.

 

Noir sighs.

Noire: Sure. I’ll send some of my guards out to see if they can find her on Lastation. In the meantime-

 

A phone rings. IF takes out a cell phone and checks it. It’s a text message.

 

IF: What!? Guys, look at this.

 

The other three run up to IF.

 

IF: The Guild just announced that they believe to have found a facility that is creating the monsters that are roaming Gameindustri. It’s located on Lastation!
Noire: I’ll tell the guards to look for Histoire. Then, I’ll go out and find the factory.

Neptune: Ahem! Don’t you mean, “We?”
Noire: There’s no way I’m going to let the goddess who let Histoire get taken come along with me. This operation needs to be handled by someone who knows what she’s doing.

Neptune: I’m not going to waste my breath arguing with you, you goth-chick-wannabe-
Noire: Excuse me!?
Neptune: The four of us are going to take down the factory TOGETHER! If you don’t like that, I really don’t care. You don’t know what could be waiting for you at that factory, so it’s best to go there with backup. Unless, you want to get eaten, like that dragon almost did earlier today…

 

Noire gets irritated.

 

IF: With all due respect, Noire, she has a point.

 

Noire has had enough. 

 

Noire: Ugh! Fine! The FOUR of us will head out to the factory, but I’m keeping a close eye on you, Neptune.

 

The Lastation Factory:

The group heads out to an abandoned facility.

 

Purple Heart: Are you sure this is the place? 

Black Heart: I’m sure. I know every inch of my land like the back of my hand.

IF: We should head inside just to make sure.

Black Heart runs up to Purple Heart.

Black Heart: By the way…
Purple Heart: Hmm?
Black Heart: I would have defeated that dragon by myself if you didn’t interfere.

Purple Heart: Ugh… You might be right, but I’m not going to apologize.

Black Heart: Huh? Why not?
Purple Heart: Because I got to see your cute red face when I caught you.

 

Purple Heart giggles. Black Heart’s face turns bright red.

 

Black Heart: J-Just stay out of my way, okay?
Purple Heart: Ugh! I’m here to help!
Black Heart: I don't care. I’ve always worked alone, and I’ve done just fine. It suits me.
Purple Heart: Not me. I was happy to meet IF and Compa back on Planeptune. I’m tired of being alone. 

 

Black Heart turns to Purple Heart.

 

Purple Heart: Plus, I never got to meet you and the other goddesses. We were just placed in our lands, and that was that. I wonder what the other two goddesses are like?

The four of them walk inside the factory. 

 

Compa: Oh well. T-There's nothing here.

 

Suddenly, Compa steps on a secret button on the floor. An elevator appears in front of them. Hesitantly, the group enters the elevator, and it takes them underneath the floor. The elevator opens up into an underground lab. There are monsters and discs in test tubes. 

 

Black Heart: Yeah, this is the place alright.

Compa: I wish it wasn’t. This place is creepy!

 

Suddenly, a man appears through a door at the end of the room. 

 

Mystery Man: W-Who are you, and what are you doing here!?

 

Black Heart: Are you in charge of this place?

 

Mystery Man: Oh no! Lady Black Heart! 

 

The man takes out a controller in his pocket and presses a button on it. The monsters in the test tubes wake up and burst out of the test tubes.

 

Mystery Man: Kill them!

Purple Heart: Should have seen this coming.
IF: They’re Dogoos! Luckily for us, they’re the least dangerous out of all the monsters.

 

The mystery man runs out of the room and presses a switch on the wall in a hallway. The monsters charge the group. They manage to take out the monsters when they hear an alarm go off.

 

Alarm: Warning! Self-destruct switch initiated. Building will implode in five seconds. 

 

Black Heart: He rigged this place to explode!

Purple Heart: We have to get out of here. 

 

Purple Heart grabs Compa and Black Heart grabs IF. They fly out of the building through a window in the ceiling right before the factory explodes! The group heads back to the Basilicom.

 

Noire: Well, that was all for nothing!

 

Neptune: Maybe, but fighting those monsters was kind of fun. You were pretty awesome back there. Noire. Naturally! ...We should work together more often…

 

Neptune forms a smug smile on her face.

Neptune: What was that? I didn’t hear you.

 

Noire frowns.

 

Noire: ...We should work together more often.

Neptune: Ha! Told ya! I think we should be friends.

 

Noire perks up a bit, but she tries to hide her enthusiasm with a serious face.

Noire: Friends…?

 

A guard enters the room.

 

Guard: Lady Black Heart. I regret to inform you that we haven’t found any trace of Histoire on Lastation.

 

Noire: Thanks.

 

The guard bows his head and leaves. Neptune is disappointed.

 

Noire: Sorry, Neptune.

Neptune: If she’s not here, then she has to be in one of the other two lands. 

IF: We can go to Leanbox. It’s the next land closest to us.
Neptune: Alright then. Hey, want to come with us Noire?

 

Noire clears her throat.

 

Noire: ...W-Well, since you've asked…

 

Neptune hugs Noire.

 

Neptune: Yes! We’ve gained another member to our party, guys!

Noire’s face turns bright red.

 

Noire: G-G-Get off of me!
